We have no idea where we are, how we got here, or how much time we have. So, having that state of mind and preparation with Khaṭvāṅga consciousness is very mature. It's very smart. Everybody else is whiling away their time playing as if they're going to live forever. Prabhupāda once said—you can mark it, it's in the database—he said, 'A materialist is somebody who thinks, "I'll live forever." A transcendentalist is someone who thinks, "I could die at any minute."' And therefore, they are taking their life seriously. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

We carry in our hearts many different intentions and desires, and we don't want anybody poking around. In fact, oftentimes we try to hide something from Kṛṣṇa. But Kṛṣṇa is so kind to the devotees; He knows what's there, and when He sees a little sincerity within our hearts, He tries to help us to overcome any of the anarthas that are still there within our heart. I was thinking how going through security is kind of like the time of death. It's not a judgment; it's a revealment. We carry what we carry because we want to carry. But we have an opportunity, when we're able to perform devotional service, to winnow out those things that we really don't want to carry, and only carry the best of intentions—which are service to Kṛṣṇa. All other things, better to leave them somewhere else. Otherwise, we have to carry them into the next life, and the next life after that, until we come to feel that, 'I no longer need these.' So, presenting ourselves before Kṛṣṇa in these various places is kind of like the X-ray machine. You know that one where you walk through and they go like 'zzzzz'—or the other one too. I don't know what they're shooting at you, but I don't like walking through that thing! Put your arms up and they take an X-ray of your whole body. That must be really good for you! But that's how I feel; like we go into the temple and Kṛṣṇa is there, and you're like, 'Okay, He's taking an X-ray.' He can see all the little knick-knacks, doodads, whatever is there within the heart. And it's a great joy to be able to deliberately consider removing those items—leaving them behind. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #globalyouthretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

You don't have to look elsewhere. If your mind goes searching for something else, bring it back. Bring it back; it's a reminder. 'Nāma binā kichu nāhiko āro, caudda-bhuvana-mājhe'—there's nothing within any of the worlds. Doesn't matter where you go—up, down, or middle—you can't find anything that's not there in the Holy Name. The Holy Name is the source of everything and the source of everyone; it's our only focus of meditation that is fruitful. So, just remind your mind that you don't need to go 'shopping' elsewhere. Everything complete is here. Just stay focused on the Name and remember: it's personal. It's all personal. I have a few sayings I want to put down for you here in the last few minutes. One is the question to ask whenever something comes up in your life—and you can use this all day long: 'What's the lesson?' When you ask what the lesson is, then you train yourself to react to things in a responsible way, rather than becoming a victim. Next is a mantra: 'Things are never as good as they seem, or as bad as they seem.' Because the immediate reaction when you hear bad news, or you hear something that sounds scary, is this: overreact and become intolerant. So remember this: things are never as good as they seem, nor as bad as they seem. Next one is this: 'This too shall pass.' Oh, what a powerful mantra! And that's one that Kṛṣṇa uses throughout the Bhagavad-gītā. Remember, it's just passing through. We're just passing through, so tolerate. Next one is: 'Concentrate on effort, not results.' Put in your best effort. Do the best you can with what you have right now, and don't worry about the results. It's not up to you. 'Whatever you resist, persists.' So if you push back on things, then it grows. Another is: 'Flip the switch.' I'm going to show you how to do it. Just put your hand behind your head right now, everybody—there's a little switch back there. You didn't know it was there. And then, flip it. And you turn off the 'humanoid' in you, and you become a little AI robot. So, turn off your emotion and just learn to do that; you can flip the switch. Another one is to meditate and practice noticing that you are not your thoughts. If you're able to isolate and see that thoughts are passing through all the time, just like clouds, and that you are not your thoughts, you gain a perspective which gives you a means by which you will naturally feel equal in all circumstances. Practice equanimity. Try it out for a week and see what it's like. Try it out for a day. Try it out for an hour. Employ some of these principles and see what it feels like. It's an authorized practice given in the Bhagavad-gītā. People will notice the difference in you. You'll notice a difference in you, and you'll also come to the heart of the matter, which is: 'I am not this body.' I'm just in a body, and I'm in a world that's always changing, but it has nothing to do with me—nothing at all. I just am here by circumstance. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa

If you go around India, or even around Silicon Valley or London, you may find churches, temples, mosques—places where people are pointing their attention in worship. You know, the word comes from the word "worth" (W-O-R-T-H). When something is "worth" something, you consider it most valuable; that's where you put your attention. When you put "-ship" on the end of the word "worth," you get "worth-ship," which means it's a noun. It's something you do because you consider it valuable where you place your attention. Because of Sandhi rules, from "worth-ship," you get "worship." So, people are investing their attention in various places and worshiping various entities in this world. Sūta Gosvāmī says (SB 1.2.23): sattvaṁ rajas tama iti prakṛter guṇās tair yuktaḥ paraḥ puruṣa eka ihāsya dhatte sthity-ādaye hari-viriñci-hareti saṁjñāḥ śreyāṁsi tatra khalu sattva-tanor nṛṇāṁ syuḥ He mentions Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Śiva. He says that these are different entities, and by worshiping them, you will get different results. Kṛṣṇa also says in the Bhagavad-gītā (BG 9.25): yānti deva-vratā devān pitṝn yānti pitṛ-vratāḥ bhūtāni yānti bhūtejyā yānti mad-yājino 'pi mām Basically, this means that as free souls with free will, we can go wherever we wish. But if we don't know where we're going, any road will take us there—we'll just be pulled by the whims of our senses. If one wants the ultimate goal of life, Sūta Gosvāmī is saying in this verse (sattvaṁ rajas tama iti...), you should put your attention on the Para-puruṣa, the Supreme Person. This is echoed in another verse that comes up which says: bhejire munayo 'thāgre bhagavantam adhokṣajam sattvaṁ viśuddhaṁ kṣemāya kalpante ye 'nu tān iha (SB 1.2.24) Previously, all the great sages—and you can see from the evidence here in South India, they built these temples to Lord Viṣṇu because they understood the clear indication of the Vedic literature that Viṣṇu is to be worshiped ultimately. So it says, "bhejire munayo 'thāgre": the munis—sages, agre means in previous ages, bhejire—they worshiped Viṣṇu. Why? Because He is Bhagavantam Adhokṣajam—He is the infallible Lord who is beyond the senses and the modes of material nature. 'Sattvaṁ viśuddham kṣemāya': they knew that they would achieve the highest benefit by thinking of Viṣṇu and worshiping Viṣṇu through the nine methods of bhakti employed in the service of Lord Viṣṇu. 'Kalpante 'nu tān iha' —and here is what is in it for us: the verse says that regardless of one's current position, whatever situation you are in now, if you also worship Lord Viṣṇu, then you are eligible for the same result that those previous sages achieved by worshiping the Supreme Lord, who is beyond the modes of material nature. .------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #globalyouthretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons

Sincerity, Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad-gītā, is the infallible way in which one can come to understand clearly who one is and who Kṛṣṇa is. He says it in the 10th Chapter of the Gītā: teṣāṁ satata-yuktānāṁ bhajatāṁ prīti-pūrvakam dadāmi buddhi-yogaṁ taṁ yena mām upayānti te He said, if you're sincere and you try to understand me even in the simplest way, even if you're not taking advantage, Prabhupāda writes in the purport of a religious practice, if you're just sincerely eager to know who God is, then Kṛṣṇa says, "I will give you the information from within your heart. I'll show you the way." So the way we can overcome those other distractions is by sincerely asking to know the truth. It's infallible, and it's worked since the time immemorial. Any living entity, anywhere in any era or culture who asks the abyss, "Please reveal Yourself to me. Show me who I am. Show me who you are. Please reveal," then Kṛṣṇa says to that person: "dadāmi buddhi-yogaṁ taṁ: I'll give intelligence." When one gets intelligence, one can defeat ignorance. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

The nectar of life is concentration on Kṛṣṇa, and Kṛṣṇa is present in His name. So you can trust the process: if you give yourself to full focus on the name, then you'll become absorbed and attracted. And it's not difficult. In rajas, the mind says, "I want to go somewhere else. I want to go somewhere else. I want to go somewhere else." And the mind flees to try to find some variety in the material nature. But all varieties come from Kṛṣṇa. Everything is complete in Kṛṣṇa, and if we surrender to that moment in which we just give our mind completely to Kṛṣṇa, then we can be in absorption. We won't even know what time it is or how long we've been chanting. We'll just be aware of one thing, and that is Kṛṣṇa's name in the Mahāmantra. So Kṛṣṇa has kindly appeared to us in this form of the Mahāmantra, and He's given us direct access to Him through this. So, we are reverent and we do the practice—not just chant and think of something else, but chant and only think of the name—and keep bringing our minds back to the name because it will go away. You have to be vigilant to come back to the name and be meditative on the holy name. That's all you have to do. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

When you learn a musical instrument, did your teacher ever tell you that you have to practice at least half hour a day? Otherwise don't come back. And if you've ever had a week where you goofed off and you didn't do it, when you go back to your teacher, you really don't have any questions. But if you work hard and you do your half hour a day, inevitably, when you go back, you're going to have questions. The teacher knows also. If you don't have any questions, he or she will say, "Oh, you didn't practice. Did you?" The same way these are important states to be in where we feel a little bit unstable, because then when we come to the answers, which you will as you continue to hear in chant, or when you find a competent person, and you say, "What about this?" Then you get the perfect answer. It fills in part of your repertoire so that you become fortified more and more. This is the difference. There are various classifications of advancement in devotional service; there's the kaniṣṭha, madhyama, and uttama. All it means is beginning, middle and upper, but there are unlimited gradations within those also like they're kaniṣṭha-kaniṣṭhas and madhyama-kaniṣṭhas and uttama-kaniṣṭhas. Fill in the rest—you can do the math on your own. And in one description of of these levels, the kaniṣṭha-adhikārī has komala-śraddhā. Komala is like when a little sprout comes up. It's very delicate, so you have to protect it a little bit. And it's described there that their faith is a little bit tender, so a kaniṣṭha-adhikārī, when hearing atheistic arguments, can sometimes be bewildered for a little while, before the faith comes back. The designation between a kaniṣṭha-adhikārī and a madhyama-adhikārī is that the madhyama-adhikārī has very firm faith and is not dissuaded by various arguments, but also he is not expert in śāstra. Doesn't know how it all fits together, and is not able to come up with logical replies to atheistic arguments. But the uttamādhikārī has firm faith and also has śāstric references; is called śāstra-sunipuṇa, which means kind of a 1600 on your SAT, but only in śāstra—knows how it all fits together and has these logical arguments. So whatever position one is in, that's fine. We just make advancement from there by hearing and chanting. It's very purposeful, actually, it's for our edification as we hear chant together and churn these topics more and more, it's natural that you'll fill in a lot of these gaps that you may have. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #globalyouthretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #kri

It's mentioned in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta by Kavirāj Goswāmī that the mode in which Chaitanya Mahāprabhu conducted himself at Kūramkṣetra was the same as he did everywhere. In a village near here, he met a very well-to-do person named Kūrma. He was a Brāhmana and a gṛhasta. He was also the leader of his community. When he saw Srī Chaitanya Mahāprabhu, as you might expect, Mahāprabhu was so attractive, Kūrma said to Lord Chaitanya that, "I will just go with you. Please, let me travel with you." Chaitanya Mahāprabhu didn't stay long in one place—sometimes just one day. Chaitanya Mahāprabhu replied to Kūrma, "Never speak like this again." This is the instruction that Chaitanya Mahāprabhu gave to Kūrma that Kavirāj Goswāmī says was consistent everywhere he went. He gave several instructions to Kūrma. One is, he said, "You should stay here and chant Hare Kṛṣṇa." This was the primary reason that Chaitanya Mahāprabhu traveled everywhere: to teach everyone the process of chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahāmantra together. He said, "Stay in your home and stay in your village, and organize people so they can chant Hare Kṛṣṇa." The second instruction he gave him was, "You should teach this to other people." He said, "If you do these two things, there's no reason to leave home." Prabhupāda, in his purport to this instruction, explained that if somebody is engaged in chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, hearing from Srīmad Bhāgavatam, and teaching others, that person will be protected from Māyā, and one is enveloped by the spiritual energy—so much so that Chaitanya Mahā[prabhu didn't recommend that Kūrma leave home. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #globalyouthretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

The Only Technique For Book Distribution: Be Happy | SB 1.2.22 | HG Vaisesika Dasa | 25 Dec 2025

One of the great joys of book distribution is distributing a book, and then a moment later, watching somebody pensively reading it. Have you ever seen that? Has anybody ever seen that? How many have really seen it? Raise your hand. It's nice right?. In the airport where we distributed books, sometimes person would buy a book, and then they'd sit down on the bench because they're waiting for a plane, and they would open the book, start reading it. I would sneak behind them and look to see what they're reading, because I was thinking, what are they getting out of this? Where are they reading from that book? So this is the impetus. HH Gopāl Kṛṣṇa Mahārāja in the very beginning of his promoting book distribution, thought to open a display at a bookstore, and he made a great arrangement for it. It was a campaign for a month that was advertised, money was spent, and afterwards he went to Prabhupāda and reported that it wasn't very successful. Prabhupāda said that is because books are distributed by the enthusiasm of my disciples, enthusiasm, joy—mudā, that sense of 'I'm so happy, I want to give this to other people.' In fact, there's no technique for book distribution, so don't even ask me, because the only technique is to be happy. If you feel happy, then people are going to want what you have. If they look at you and they say, you know, this person looks happy, then they'll say, "Well, what do you have? What can you give me?" In fact, I had a stint in Chicago O'Hare Airport. It was the second most busy airport on the planet during the years that I was able to distribute books inside that airport. Number one was Hatfield in Atlanta. I don't know what was happening in Delhi, but not as much as now, and definitely not Dum Dum. But in any case, I remember being so happy. Having maṅgala-ārati in the temple, the kīrtans were such that everyone was dancing. And then we would have japa, Bhāgavatam class. Then we would all sit together and take prasāda. Then we would pile into a van and they let us out. It was like we were shot from a cannon, and the only technique I remember is just being so happy that I would actually get a running start, and then I would stop, skid into people, and say, "You look great." Then I would hand them a book, is say, "These are books about pure love for God, and it's meant to wake up pure love for God within your heart. And today, we just ask for a donation to help spread love for God." That was it. That's all he told people. It was just happiness, expressing happiness, distributing happiness, and being fully aware that if somebody was able to give something, a little attention to the book, take it home, give a donation which will make them have more attention to the book, then it was a big success. That's the life of the person who has the greatest opportunity to follow in Śrīla Prabhupāda's footsteps, to go out into the great unknown, just like catching in the Jaladūta. Just put yourself in that mindset that you are catching the Jaladūta. What would it feel like, the exhilaration to get on the boat, to fulfill the order of your spiritual master. Books in hand. Not a care in the world about not having facility, knowing that Kṛṣṇa will support you. Are you feeling it? In every culture, there's a sense of how danger brings out the best in us when it comes to surrendering to God. For instance, I don't know what World War, you'd have to ask my old friend chat GPT, who really likes me, when this phrase became prevalent, it says, "there are no atheists in foxholes." A foxhole is a military term. It means, when you're in the infantry on the battlefield and you're being shot at, you have to dig really quickly a divot in the ground so you can be below ground level, so you don't get hit by mortar shrapnel or bullets. In such a precarious situation, people, other humans, have noted that that's when you start praying. "If you get me out of this one, I'll be good for the rest of my life," or whatever the soldier might be praying for at that time. So your Question is, how can we stay conscious of Kṛṣṇa all the time, mainly by keeping the transcendental vibration going. It's like tonight we have a medley of bhajana, chanting a chapter and reading. Developing a taste for that is very helpful. Have your bhajana together. I like to say, 'get your bhajana on'. Make sure that you have a bhajana. Because if you don't have a bhajana, then you're going to have scrolling, randomness. Scrolling just means random observation of the of the world. But when you're very deliberate and keep the transcendental vibration going, and you develop a repertoire where you can have variety, and you keep hearing and chanting and a repertoire of service also, then you'll notice that you're happy because whatever situation you're in, you're thinking of Kṛṣṇa. That's the idea of keeping the transcendental vibration going. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #globalyouthretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Once, when I was on pilgrimage with my senior Godbrother, we were traveling to many temples. Every time we go into the temple, we would offer our obeisances and we were next to each other so we can hear the mantra we were chanting, which was: nama oṁ viṣṇu-pādāya kṛṣṇa-preṣṭhāya bhū-tale śrīmate bhaktivedānta-svāmin iti nāmine namas te sārasvate deve gaura-vāṇī-pracāriṇe nirviśeṣa-śūnyavādi-pāścātya-deśa-tāriṇe One of those times he looked at me and said, "So here we're coming to all these temples. Every time we come in, we pay our obeisances and we say Prabhupāda's praṇāma mantra—why are we doing that in front of all these Deities?" I said, "You're my senior Godbrother, you tell me." He said, "It's because we're telling the Deity who invited us to come in here. We all know from traveling that..(partially inaudible) very difficult with the visa situation. When you're traveling, if you miss it by a day, you're in trouble. You might have to take a new flight or not come. So what's our visa to come to the holy place? We come only under the protection of the śrī-guru-paramparā." And we find prevalence in Prahlāda's prayers when he had been elected by Brahmā and the other demigods to pray to Lord Narasiṁhadeva, because all of them had prayed, and Lord Narasiṁhadeva was unsatisfied, so they asked Prahlāda, "You go." In his prayers, Prahlāda says before Lord Narasiṁhadeva evaṁ janaṁ nipatitaṁ prabhavāhi-kūpe kāmābhikāmam anu yaḥ prapatan prasaṅgāt kṛtvātmasāt surarṣiṇā bhagavan gṛhītaḥ so 'haṁ kathaṁ nu visṛje tava bhṛtya-sevām "I cannot forget my spiritual master." He's there in front of Kṛṣṇa, in front of Lord Narasiṁhadeva, and he says, "I was falling into a blind well, a pit full of snakes, following the general populace." That's what most people do. They just follow the general populace; whatever's on television or on social media, they just adopt that style, that idea, and they go into the pit with everybody else. He said, "But my spiritual master saved me. Therefore, how can I ever give up this service?" "So 'haṁ kathaṁ nu visṛje tava bhṛtya-sevām—I'm the servant of my spiritual master." And he says it several times in his prayers to Lord Narasiṁhadeva. So, the approach is important. How we approach Kṛṣṇa is of utmost importance: that I come here as the "servant of the servant of the servant" to offer myself to You. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark

Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam says every time the sun rises and sets, it takes away our āyu. We get a prescribed number of days along with our birth—thrown in for free—but it is expiring day by day when the sun comes up and goes down. Poetically it says ( SB 2.3.17): āyur harati vai puṁsām udyann astaṁ ca yann asau The sun is speaking to us as it goes overhead, saying, " I am taking away our life. Another day is gone. You never get it back. Except for one who is engaged in discussing Kṛṣṇa and Kṛṣṇa consciousness." It is a nice practice to greet the sun whenever you can and just meditate on its infinite power as one of Kṛṣṇa's representatives here in the universe where you can become aware of them. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, when he lived in Vṛndāvana, would walk from Akrūra Ghāṭa every morning and sit down at Imlitalā tree and he would chant japa from early morning into the late morning. Similarly, when Caitanya Mahāprabhu came to South India, he made special arrangements for his japa. It says here, from our reading last night: "Since your two hands will always be engaged in chanting and counting the holy names, how will you be able to carry the water pot and external garments?" That's Nityānanda Prabhu trying to induce Caitanya Mahāprabhu to take somebody with him. Why? So he could have his hands free and chant Japa. From this verse (Cc Madhya 7.37), it is clear that Caitanya Mahāprabhu was chanting the holy names a fixed number of times daily. The Gosvāmīs used to follow in the footsteps of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, and Haridāsa Ṭhākura also followed this principle. Considering the Gosvāmīs—Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī, Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī, Śrīla Raghunātha Bhaṭṭa Gosvāmī, Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, Śrīla Gopāla Bhaṭṭa Gosvāmī, and Śrīla Raghunātha dāsa Gosvāmī—Śrīnivāsa Ācārya confirms: saṅkhyā-pūrvaka-nāma-gāna-natibhiḥ. In addition to other duties, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu introduced the system of chanting the holy name of the Lord a fixed number of times. As confirmed in this verse, Caitanya Mahāprabhu used to count on his fingers; while one hand was engaged in chanting, the other hand kept the number of rounds. This is corroborated in the Caitanya-candrāmṛta and also in Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī's Stava-mālā, which is quoted. Prabhupāda says: "Therefore, devotees in the line of Caitanya Mahāprabhu must chant at least 16 rounds daily. And this is the number prescribed by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Haridāsa Ṭhākura daily chanted 300,000 names; 16 rounds is about 28,000 names. There is no need to imitate Haridāsa Ṭhākura or the Gosvāmīs, but chanting the holy name a fixed number of times daily is essential for every devotee." So, this is the foundational principle of the practice of devotional service, and we get constant confirmation of how important it is. https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/7/37/ ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #globalyouthretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

You will find, when you think about priorities and you think about values, that some of them that are going to stick around probably throughout your life—but absolutely, it can be adjusted any which way. It's a fluid document that you can work on. It's for you, and it's to just have a sense of which direction you're going and what's most important to you in your life. Because most people never think about it; they just do what's in front of them, and there's always something more you have to do to finish before you really get time for yourself to think about what's most important to you in your life. That's why self-examination and being self-directing in your life is a good thing. ---------------------------------------------------------- To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------#determination #practice #priorities #goalsetting #value #purpose #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

There's an author and speaker named Og Mandino. I don't know if he's still around. He wrote about such things, and one of his sayings was, “Never greet the dawn without a map.” I always liked that. Have a map when you wake up in the morning; make sure you plan your day, because if you don't frame how you want your day to be, somebody else will frame it for you. If you don't have your clear priorities for the day, someone will make their problem your priority. Like, if they want you to do something else, if you don't have a valid reason why you have to do your thing—because it's already on your list—then they're going to make you do their thing, and that way your life can get away from you. So, plan your day. It's your day; it's your life. You get to choose where you're going to place your attention. So, plan your day ahead of time. Write it down.Once you have it on paper, you can just say, “Sorry, look at my list. I already have this.” And then set time-bound goals, because when they're open-ended, then everyone thinks—as the Prabhupada said—"I will live for millions of years," but we don't, and our time is short. So it's better if we demarcate an end point to whatever we want to do, even if it's five minutes hence, or five days, or five years. Once you put the ending point, it gives you what's called "forced efficiency." You know you have a certain amount of time. I notice for myself, whenever I'm going on a trip, that's when I get the most efficient: the week before, two weeks before, the day before. I'm focused on what I have to get done before I leave. So, putting time-bound goals makes it imperative that I finish what I want to do. Of course, you have to be careful to plan in some time for yourself too, so you're not always pushing—because we may need some balance in our life, right? Nowadays, the world is literally built for distraction, not direction. There is a concerted effort to catch your attention from all sides. Of course, there's not just social media, but people advertise everywhere for the latest styles and ideas. I haven't seen too many billboards about Kṛṣṇa. Most people start strong but quit early; and it's not from a lack of talent, but a lack of systems to stay determined. My contention is that our determination outperforms skill, luck, and motivation in the long run. Just to give you a definition of determination—which you might find helpful and interesting—is that 'determination' has the word terminus in it, which means an ending point. In one sense, it means to be able to finish something. Finish what you start. Have you ever gotten halfway through a book and then left it behind, and then noticed a year later it's still there? ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

I'll give a final point and a tip. The final point is that your pledge is your wedge. What it really means to be brave is to write down a number and make it bigger than the last time. That takes a lot of guts. You've got to write it down and then commit to it. That's when the energy starts to flow—not before, but only after you make the pledge. So, make the pledge. Whatever you think you can do, get together with your devotees and allow everybody in your area to pledge. Also, don't deprive anybody of the opportunity to be involved in the marathon; otherwise, they miss the nectar of life and the special mercy of Śrīla Prabhupāda and Lord Caitanya. Once my godbrother, Vatsala, gave his Bhagavad-gītā class, and he gave the example of yogurt. How do you make yogurt? Well, first you get some milk from Bhakti Farms—because there's no better milk on the planet. I've watched Nirkulā make yogurt all the time—you get the right kind of pot, and you have to use a thermometer to find out the exact temperature. Then you put in some culture of yogurt from a previous batch. And how much does it take? A dollop! How much is a dollop? Anybody know? It's not specifically defined, but it's like just a little bit—a dollop. You put a dollop in, then you leave it in that environment, that favorable environment, and what happens? The whole pot turns to yogurt. It takes to the culture, and then it spreads and it becomes part of it. So, in a similar way, my godbrother Vatsala said, "We have the big pot of our life." What's in it? All kinds of stuff. If you really take the time now, before the New Year comes, and you write down everything you're doing, you'll be shocked at all the stuff you're doing simultaneously. You're doing a lot. And then if you think, "Okay, how much am I chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa? A dollop? I've got a little dollop going on here?" You keep doing that, as Prabhupāda is pointing out here, and adjust your intention. Why am I doing what I'm doing? It's like, "I'm offering to Kṛṣṇa," and we should be sincere about that. And as we do, then that chanting and that intention... it will envelop the entire pot, and it will turn to something else. It's a foregone conclusion that that will happen. So, it's not a disadvantage to be engaged in the world. It's only a disadvantage when you forget Kṛṣṇa. When you remember Kṛṣṇa, then 'vidyam ca avidyam ca yas'—you see two things at the same time. You see ignorance and the result of ignorant activities, and you see Kṛṣṇa consciousness, and you see the antidote. And those two become a solid realization when you see them side by side. It's so interesting, isn't it, to be engaged in the world when you're reading Bhagavad-gītā? ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

We want to advance, so we have to have courage; and that's the theme of this campaign. It's based on what Prabhupāda said when he told a couple of his disciples—Gurudāsa and Śyāmasundara—that when he was a child, he had gone to the Victoria Memorial which was being built and had scaffolding on it still, and he climbed to the top. Brahmānanda or Gurudāsa (I can't remember which one) said, 'Prabhupāda, you must have been very brave.' And he said, "I'm still brave. Who else would come to America alone to preach?" So that's the theme of this year. It's no fun holding back. We only experience our full potential when we're brave and we move forward. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

In the Bhāgavatam, it said that the universe is working in a uniform way, which means that everything works perfectly because it's all under the guidance of Kṛṣṇa and His energies. So if something happens to you because of somebody else, we can see it as the universe working in a uniform way, and I'll give you an example. Peter Burwash was a friend of mine. He was a businessman. Passed away a few years ago. Used to be a professional athlete, and then he started a company called Peter Burwash International. He knew Prabhupāda well because he lived in Hawaii and Prabhupāda used to live there and write. And it was Peter Burwash's headquarters. He took a lot of advice from Prabhupāda, and when he was just getting his business started and he got interested in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, he gave a donation to the temple, and he handed it to the local temple commander to start his life membership. About an hour later, the person who accepted the money absconded, which means they ran away with the money. Peter Burwash was very angry and he went to Prabhupāda to complain directly to him because Prabhupāda lived just right upstairs. And when Prabhupāda heard his case, the first thing he said was: “Don't become angry with the instrument of your karma.” Peter Burwash lectured all over the world, and that was what he always started with when he gave talks—that he learned this from his spiritual teacher. He would say: “Don't become angry with the instrument of your karma.” So there are philosophical ways of dealing with it. They're very practical tools that you can use to get through all these sticky situations to make sure that you don't make it worse than it was before. But you don't have to just accept it and move on or just hold it in. There are ways to deal with it. Chaitanya Mahāprabhu said: yadi vaiṣṇava-aparādha uṭhe hātī mātā upāḍe vā chiṇḍe, tāra śukhi' yāya pātā (Cc Madhya 19.156) When growing the creeper of devotional service, it starts to grow in the heart. Rādha means to perform service to Kṛṣṇa; aparādha means the opposite. And Vaiṣṇava-aparādha means to make an offense to devotees He said Yadi—if, you do something that is contrary to proper service to the Lord.. Then, "uṭhe hātī mātā." Hātī means an elephant. Upāḍe vā chiṇḍe, tāra śukhi' yāya pātā"— you get an elephant in your garden. Back in Bushey, if you wake up one morning and there is an elephant in your backyard, it's too late; your garden is ruined because all he has to do is walk around a little bit. What to speak of if he is a maddened elephant! Because maddened elephants will go through and ravage neighborhoods, flip over rickshaws, then cars, then trucks, and smash down all the little shops along the way. You have probably seen it on YouTube; when an elephant becomes angry, sometimes they'll go for 8–10 miles and nobody can stop them. They wreak havoc. So, Chaitanya Mahāprabhu said that as a gardener, one must be especially careful not to offend Vaiṣṇavas, because it is the "mad elephant offense" (hātī-mātā-aparādha). Śukhi' means that after the elephant tramples on your devotional creeper, it dries up, becomes ineffectual, and won't grow anymore. Śukhi' yāya pātā—the creeper is ruined in that way. He told Sanātana and Rūpa Gosvāmī to be careful. And then the other thing he told him is.. Kṛṣṇa has already an intimate relationship with all living beings, because he's feeding them. Nityo nityānām cetanaś cetanānām eko bahūnām yo vidadhāti kāmān—He feeds everybody, and there's not one person you can find anywhere that doesn't have food available to him or her, because Krishna is all-powerful, and he's feeding every living being. But he wants more than that; not just this "supply and demand" because I'm hungry. He wants love, and he wants to extract the love that's dormant within the heart of every living being. Therefore, he sets up this elaborate ruse that he performs to demote Indra. That's just another reason that he performs the pastime. Indra became proud, and that's the death knell to bhakti. Pride comes in various forms, and one of them is entitlement. In fact, Yamunā Devī, one of the famous disciples of Śrīla Prabhupāda, preached heavily in her final days that we should beware of entitlement. That is, I think, because of my stature (whatever I may think that is), there are various ways we can get it into our head that we deserve more than others. Of course, there's etiquette, and we observe that; we're not communists. But if I have in my head that I deserve something, then it's very hard for me to appreciate anything. And this entitlement that pollutes the mind and consciousness had gotten into the mind and consciousness of Indra, and he thought, "I deserve that offering of the cowherd men." And if you've ever thought you deserve something and then you didn't get it, doesn't it cause anguish? ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #govardhanpuja #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

People who are bought and sold in politics, for instance, they may go along with treachery or despotism because they don't want to lose their job. Happens all the time. People just hang on because they think, "Well, anyway. Maybe it will blow over. Nobody will notice," but they just don't want to lose their job. And I mentioned, maybe the other night, that when the demigods were observing the fight between Hiraṇyakaśipu and Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, Narasiṁhadeva had captured Hiraṇyakaśipu, had him in his clutches. Now the devas, whose homes, whose realms, whose jobs, services, everything had been usurped by Hiraṇyakaśipu, were watching the fight. It says from behind the clouds, because they wanted everything back. They wanted all their stuff back. They wanted status quo back. So they were watching. What did Lord Narasiṁhadeva do during the fight? He caught Hiraṇyakaśipu. What happened after that? It appeared as if Hiraṇyakaśipu slipped away. What did the demigods think then? "Now we're really finished, because we were rooting for the enemy." Think of that: the Supreme Personality of Godhead appears and you have some doubt of whether he's going to win or not, and you're also thinking, "I just rooted for the people. The guy who's fighting against him, Hiraṇyakaśipu, is really going to come get me now." Imagine the kind of stricture that he's going to give to us now that we rooted for the enemy. These are very high-minded personalities. They are servants of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but they are attached. As it turns out, Lord Narasiṁhadeva is half cat, right? What do cats do when they catch a mouse? Have you ever seen it? When we were going door to door, there was a cat in Colorado on somebody's lawn. The cat was just sitting there and a little mouse was hopping around. As soon as the mouse would get a few inches outside a radius, the cat would catch it and pull it back and then wait for it. If anybody knows cats, they like to play with their prey before they crunch them up. In the same way, Lord Narasiṁhadeva let go, Prabhupāda said, because he has that feeling like, "Let him go, pull him back again." Then, of course, he ripped him into shreds. But in that case, we see that Prahlāda didn't mind at all. In fact, he wasn't afraid at all of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva. In the whole mess he wasn't afraid because he was completely detached. All he wanted was service to his spiritual master. .------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

In 1972, Śrīla Prabhupāda made a down payment on the land in Juhu beach, Bombay, intending to build Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa, a beautiful temple there. Even though Śrīla Prabhupāda had made a down payment on the land, the owner, who had a past history of shady dealings, had not yet handed over the land deed to ISKCON as he had promised he would do. Śrīla Prabhupāda saw indications that the owner might change his mind and decide not to sell the land, or worse, he may try to cheat the devotees and keep the down payment. In India, when one installs deities on a piece of land legally, it secures one's hold on the land, as the deities become the proprietors, and no one else will dare to move them. Therefore, to secure the Juhu land, Śrīla Prabhupāda moved the Deities Śrī Śrī Rādhā Rāsa-Bihārī there as quickly as possible after giving the down payment. Just after doing this, he also performed a ceremony to lay the cornerstone for the temple he intended to build there, another act that legally solidifies one's right to keep and stay on the piece of land. At first, due to a lack of facility, the devotees had to worship Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa in a tent. After some years of intense struggle, Śrīla Prabhupāda and his followers developed the land, relocating the previous renters, and established a beautiful temple there that today hosts millions of people every year. As humans, we have the chance to build such a temple in our hearts. Our bodies are like that Juhu land. Just as Śrīla Prabhupāda quickly installed the deities on the Juhu land, we should also install Kṛṣṇa in our hearts as soon as possible, before death comes and cheats us, taking away our opportunity. By making a firm vow to chant the holy names a fixed number of times each day, we lay the cornerstone for a temple in our hearts where we can properly worship Kṛṣṇa. As Śrīla Prabhupāda pushed forward to secure the Juhu land, we must also push forward against all odds to ready our hearts for Kṛṣṇa's worship. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

I was reading about a scientist named George Washington Carver, and was struck by his observations about science and how to realize the deeper levels of material phenomena. He said, "Anything will give up its secrets if you love it enough." And I am paraphrasing what he said, "Attention and love reveal understanding." So he presented that love is a method. Then he gave a definition of love, which I thought would be helpful for the process of chanting. He said: "It's disciplined attention, not sentiment; patient attention." He said, "Humility before what you're studying, a willingness to listen rather than dominate." He said, "When approaching a plant, problem, or person, you need respect, curiosity, and care. Nature responds to patience. Truth is revealed gradually, not extracted violently." "Careful observation opens possibilities others overlook. If you stay with something long enough," (direct quote) "it teaches you." "People reveal themselves when they are not being used, judged, or rushed." (Good for book distribution too.) He also said, "Truth is unified. Nature is a form of divine communication. Knowledge is a gift, not a conquest." Then you gave this formula: Attention+Love=Understanding. How you approach something shapes what you can know. Understanding is received, not seized. Love is patient, ethical attention. So, in the matter of chanting, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu said, “tṛṇād api sunīcena.” (One should be humbler than a blade of grass.) Now, be very, very humble and approach like this. It's the perfect method. And I especially liked: disciplined attention, patient attention, humility before what you're studying, a willingness to listen rather than dominate. So, not expecting anything, but being humbly aware that perfect knowledge requires the perfect method, which means that if Kṛṣṇa is to reveal Himself in His name, I have to have great respect, humility, and patience. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy ##spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Priorities determine what comes first when things compete. I don't know about all of you, but I've noticed there are a lot of competing philosophies. There are a lot of competing activities, different kinds of attitudes. So, when there's a confluence of all these things, we can feel overwhelmed. But if you have decided ahead of time what's most important in your life, and you have it ordered—that's what priority means—what comes first. Technically, it means one thing that's most important, the prime thing in your life. It has come over time that we make several priorities, and maybe there's a hierarchy, and that's how I recommend writing it. Write down the things that are most important to you and try to order them: what comes first, what comes second, what comes third. And then values—just giving definitions here—govern how I act, regardless of the outcome of whatever activity I'm engaged in. One of the cardinal principles of enlightened living is how we react to what happens to us. It's not what happens; it's what we do after it happens to us that defines our values. As we were just defining satisfaction, we may engage, and then something comes along that seems like an obstacle, how do we react to it? How do we remain satisfied? So, one of our values might be to be tolerant or to be in a state of equanimity. Dealing with situations governs how I react, regardless of what the outcome is. So, if I say I'm going to be satisfied, then if something desirable or undesirable comes, I am accepting. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #successsadhana #spiritualgoals #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

This is one of the first exercises for developing your constitution for 2026. You could take some time to examine what values means, and look at some of the values. This is a nice list from Brené Brown of values that we may look forward to developing. It's not necessarily values we have now, but it just means what we consider worthwhile, where we'd like to put our attention. You know, the word "worship? It originally comes from where the word "worth", and when you put "-ship" on the end of something, it turns into a noun. And over time, "worth-ship" morphed into "worship." So what we consider value is that place where we worship. What are the values? Now I'll just give another element to this: All of these values are metaphysical. How will you measure empathy? You can't do it empirically. Empirically, you can't go to Ace Hardware and get a meter that measures empathy. You can judge how generous somebody is, but you don't know how much they have, so are they being really generous? These values are intrinsically metaphysical; they are beyond the physical world. So looking at them, feeling them, feeling separation from them, wanting to develop them, this is also part of spiritual development. When we become aware of the plethora of values that are available for cultivation, we can uplift our spirit, our spiritual part of life, by becoming aware of them. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #successsadhana #spiritualvalues #goalsetting #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

I brought a quote with me this morning that I found Śrīla Prabhupāda speaking about chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. He says, "In this age, hearing is more important than thinking, because one's thinking may be disturbed by mental agitation, but if one concentrates on hearing, he will be forced to associate with the sound vibration of Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa and the sound vibration Kṛṣṇa are non-different. So if one loudly vibrates Hare Kṛṣṇa, he will be able to think of Kṛṣṇa immediately. This process of chanting is the best process of self-realization in this age. Therefore, Lord Caitanya preached it so nicely for the benefit of all humanity." I added to a section of this paper I'm writing about Prabhupāda's statement that chanting japa is 'forced meditation.' And in one sense, we consider that the name has force: nāmnām akāri bahudhā nija-sarva-śaktis. There's śakti in the name. So it's not simply mindfulness, but it's direct association with Kṛṣṇa, who has his own power and his own agenda. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

During our lives, we'll go through various eras, and in some of the eras we're required to work. It's not going to be possible to dedicate the same amount of time that others can at different periods in their life. Let's use Śrīla Prabhupāda as an example. He had a family, children, and he was also working as an employee in a chemical company in high-level management. He expressed how little time he had too during that era. Evidence: He split his rounds up throughout the day. He mentions this, that he chanted four, four, four, and four, because he had to time it so that he could chant his rounds around his work schedule and around his family schedule. Another piece of evidence is that when Prabhupāda joined his spiritual master's Yātrā in Vṛndāvana, it was a ten-day Yātrā, and he could only go for one day because he had so much work to do. So, Prabhupāda during that time maintained sādhana as best he could, but he also had those other obligations. Then, at a particular time in his life, he got the opportunity to become a vānaprastha and then a sannyāsī. Most people see Prabhupāda during the time when he was a paramahaṁsa and not sleeping and engaging in spreading the movement and writing all night and things like that. But he also went through the different stages of life, and during those times, he apportioned his time accordingly. So, this is natural, and it is accommodated by the varṇāśrama system that there are going to be different phases of life. It's nothing impractical. In fact, in the Śrī Īśopaniṣad, a favorite verse of mine, is: vidyāṁ cāvidyāṁ ca yas tad vedobhayaḿ saha avidyayā mṛtyuṁ tīrtvā vidyayāmṛtam aśnute "Only one who can learn the process of nescience and that transcendental knowledge side by side can transcend the influence of repeated birth and death and enjoy the full blessings of immortality (Mantra 11)." https://vedabase.io/en/library/iso/11/ So, it's not a big surprise that we have obligations in the material world, but what's required is to continue your hearing and chanting even as you're doing that, according to your capacity. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

I had to drive to an early morning appointment, and here in my area, on the 101 freeway, which is the main thoroughfare, they have put up this system where the fast lane has signs above it that tell how much it's going to cost you to drive in the fast lane, and it's constantly changing according to how much traffic is there. It's become very sophisticated. You can see early in the morning it's practically nothing, and then later it goes up to $5, $17 if you want to drive a few miles in the fast lane. I was just thinking, because I left a little early for my appointment, that it didn't cost that much, and if I had waited a couple more minutes, it would have jumped. And I was thinking how important it is in the human form of life to try to take advantage early. Don't think, "Okay, I'll do the wrong thing and it won't make a difference." Every minute makes a difference if we want to stay in the fast lane, keep making the decisions to take Kṛṣṇa first, deal with Māyā later, and maybe next life, or never at all. Stay on that fast lane, the fast lane consciousness, just by starting early and getting your most important things done first before the price goes up and you have to pay a much higher price for it. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #japajolt #mantrameditation #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
