Welcome back to another episode of Colorlines Podcast. Colorlines is a way to have a voice, it's a way to be weird, and a chance to love yourself and all your flaws. Here we talk about what really matters. It's a form of expression and everything that YOU are. If you're unfamiliar with how my podcast is run, or what it's about it's simply speaking your truth and pushing the boundaries to talk about the important issues that are taboo and most of the time silenced. I'd like to start a conversation on these issues that aren't necessarily talked about or expressed. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pbarrnett/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pbarrnett/support
Hello there, beautiful humans, and welcome to another episode of Colorlines Podcast. Here we talk about what really matters. It's a form of expression, a way to have a voice, be free, be weird and love yourself. I brought along with me KIM A. VAIL; an upcoming artist who was willing to join me today and talk about a few things while having a blast. We kicked it off with talking about Good Vibes and somewhere in the middle, we discussed good intentions and how the two can co-exist with another and like I mentioned the last time in episode 2 of Colorlines Podcast we touched basics on Abortion, not to mention pay respects to my late husband. May he rest in peace. ♥ In today's episode, I brought along a dear friend of mine. She's trying to make it in the music industry, and is an UPCOMING ARTIST! I welcomed KIM A. VAIL, as one of my guest on Colorlines Podcast, she's a really good performer and friend. You can follow her on Facebook: @KimAVail on Instagram: kima.vail alongside Twitter: @KimAVail and YouTube: Kim A. Vail. Make sure you subscribe to her YouTube channel and follow her on her social media sites to stay updated on her successes and music. She doesn't have anything up yet, but coming soon will be her newest song called; Dark Nights (Ft. Kim A. Vail) which will be available to the public March, 18th, 2020 --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pbarrnett/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pbarrnett/support
Beautiful humans of the universe! Welcome back to the second episode of Colorlines Podcast. Here we talk about what really matters. It's a form of expression, a way to have a voice, be free, be weird and love yourself. On today's podcast, we paid respects to Kobe Bryant and Gigi, alongside some interesting facts that might help the police tie clues together on what went down in the helicopter crash. Not to mention parenting and BIG A. ABORTION. Tragedy struck millions of hearts in Calabasas, CA, and all over the world when we learned that on January, 26th, 2020 Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gigi alongside seven other people crashed and passed away in a helicopter. Death isn't easy for anyone, especially with someone as famous as Kobe. Kobe Bean Bryant was born on August, 23rd, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. He knew right from the beginning he was meant to play in the NBA. The Charlotte Hornets chose him with the 13th pick of the 1996 draft. He was traded to the Lakers shortly thereafter and became the second youngest NBA player in history when the 1996–97 season opened. He quickly proved his merit with the Lakers and was selected for the NBA All-Star Game in just his second season, becoming the youngest All-Star. ♥ It's a tragedy that we lost a legend to the stars, but gain respect for the craft. Kobe and Gigi will be missed dearly. Feel free to check out a video tribute to Kobe and his daughter Gigi at the end of this podcast. The next topic we touched base on was parenting and whether or not to take responsibilities. More on the thin lines between being a parent to your child, or being friends with your child. In my opinion; I feel being friends with your children is unethical and confusing to some extent. It's alright to build that bond and trust with your child, but to take it to a whole other level is where I draw the line. The lines get blurred when it comes to taking care of responsibilities. When bringing a child or children into the world, it's a huge step. Some may not be ready to be parents because they're not ready for that milestone. Realizing when you're ready; there's a lot that comes into play when making a decision so huge. For example; abortion. Now, some don't have the opportunity to keep or take care of their child if they become pregnant and some don't seem to care at all and are completely selfish and wanting to abort their baby. I'm on the fence about abortions, not to say I'm for it nor am I against it. I understand that with all females it's THEIR CHOICE because it's THEIR BODY, but in other words, it's still life being taken away. I'll touch more on the topic next week, so stay tuned. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pbarrnett/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pbarrnett/support
Hey Everyone!, and welcome to Colorlines Podcast. It's a form of expression, a way to have a voice, be free, be weird and love yourself. You may have noticed a slight change to the show; I will no longer be hosting “TalkRadio with DJ Joey.” Instead, I'm focused on a new direction. I've changed the name to Colorlines Podcast. ♥ This is the first show of the new semester. I want to focus on topics that aren't really talked about or are afraid to talk about. I want to break the barrier and expression in ways no ones ever could. Colorlines is bigger than me, you, all of us combined. It's a way to have a voice, it's a way to be weird, and a chance to love yourself and all your flaws. On this podcast, I talked a bit about what's to come and talked a bit about who I am as a person and how I got started. Colorlines Podcast is a way to be yourself, and love who you are no matter what you do. I talk about my website and how I put it together. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pbarrnett/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pbarrnett/support
