00:00–15:00 – Welcome & Wheel of Doom Launch Sam and Mike banter about YouTube and gear setups. Introduction to the “Wheel of Doom,” tracking points based on video reviews. Recap of last episode's record of 6,530 points. Initial spin reveals a video about synchronicity: Coincidences and spiritual alignment. Sam sees 11:11 as a message from God. Mike talks about being zen and open to life's signs. A migraine nearly ruins Memorial Day. 15:00–30:00 – Spirituality & Existential Insight Second spin brings a video on the indestructibility of the soul. Concept of infinite self beyond the physical. Death as a transition, not an end. Sam answers fan messages and jokes about fighting Kevin Brennan. Discussion of Jordan Peterson's weak defense of Christian scripture on a debate show. Praise for Jay Dyer and Andrew Wilson's debate skills. 30:00–45:00 – Supernatural and Biblical Power Third spin: a dramatized skit where someone rebukes a criminal in Jesus' name. Leads to discussion on invoking Jesus for protection. Mention of paranormal defenses (e.g., against Mothman or aliens). Fourth spin: Moses and God's declaration “I AM”. Powerful biblical moment dissected. Discussion on God's uniqueness and sovereignty. Sam and Mike marvel at how many spiritual videos the Wheel picks. 45:00–60:00 – Real Crime and the Dark Side of Texas Fifth spin: “Scariest Facts About Texas” Unsolved murders on I-45. Charles Albright (“Eyeball Killer”) and bar owner feeding bodies to alligators. The Phantom Killer and Galveston hurricane tragedy. Comment on modern serial killers targeting specific demographics. Praise for Midnight Mike's invention of the Wheel of Doom. 60:00–75:00 – Miraculous Stairs of Loretto Chapel Sixth spin: story of the miraculous Loretto Chapel staircase. Mysterious carpenter completes the spiral staircase with no nails and vanishes. No record of material purchases, leading to divine carpenter theory. Experts baffled by the construction's precision. Continued awe at the Wheel selecting deeply spiritual and bizarre content. 75:00–90:00 – Growth, Comedy, and the Wisdom of Solomon Sam reflects on stand-up evolution: Sometimes you outgrow your material, signaling a creative leap. The bombing period forces comedians to write more and reinvent. Mike compares this to podcasting: His podcast “OBDM” has matured in content and context over the years. Discussion transitions to Solomon's magical ring: Solomon allegedly summoned Nephilim and spirits with the ring. They were commanded to build the temple, working under Solomon's divine authority. Biblical occultism and Solomon's wisdom highlighted. What does it take to build a breakout non-alcoholic beverage brand in today's ultra-competitive drinks market? For George Youmans, co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer of Hiyo, it starts with a crystal-clear brand promise: a stress-relieving, mood-boosting sensation they call “the float.”In just three years, Hiyo has grown into a category leader, selling over 500,000 cases annually, with +212% year-over-year retail sales growth — making it the #1 contributor to growth in the functional-other beverage category, according to SPINS. With its USDA Organic formulation, a national rollout in 946 Target stores, and a recent minority investment from Constellation Brands, Hiyo is cementing its place as a top player in the fast-rising functional non-alc space. In this episode, George shares:How Hiyo went from a bootstrapped pandemic idea to tripling retail revenue last yearThe role of e-commerce in Hiyo's early success, including a 10X sales leap in year two and 3X in year threeWhy the “floaty feeling” — not just functional ingredients — became the emotional core of the brandHow the team leverages its 500K+ DTC customer base to drive velocity at retail with targeted geo campaignsWhy Hiyo prioritizes rate of sale over door count, aiming for sustainable growth over splashy expansionHow packaging design — based on Californian sunset palettes — became a brand differentiatorThe importance of staying operationally lean while growing fast — and what George learned from early forecasting mistakesHow event partnerships with EDC, HARD Summer, and Breakaway Music Festival support liquid-to-lips trial with over 300,000 festivalgoersWhy George believes Hiyo can be for hard seltzers and RTDs what Athletic Brewing is for beerLast Call: On Last Call, we dive into a new per-capita wine consumption map from Visual Capitalist and the NIAAA — and what it reveals about:Why wine consumption is lowest in the Midwest and SouthHow D.C. became the nation's most wine-loving "state"The surprising disconnect between income, control states, and wine salesWhy tasting room visitation may be dropping in California — but rising in states like Michigan and VirginiaDon't miss our next episode, dropping on June 4.For the latest updates, follow us:Business of Drinks:YouTubeLinkedInInstagram @bizofdrinksErica Duecy, co-host: Erica Duecy is founder and co-host of Business of Drinks and one of the drinks industry's most accomplished digital and content strategists. Danny Smith shares chilling military stories from his time working in a Naval hospital and aboard the USS Peoria. From paranormal experiences in a Civil War-era hospital in Virginia to eerie encounters aboard the ship, Danny recounts seeing shadowy figures, unexplained noises, and vivid interactions with spirits. He recalls the strange happenings on the hospital's 15th floor—where objects were thrown at him and a mysterious presence haunted the halls. On the USS Peoria, Danny witnessed a ghostly figure in a Navy uniform and heard a disembodied voice while checking equipment. The experiences don't stop there, with unsettling moments occurring in the very areas where soldiers once perished. Rumors had circulated that the park district was once a funeral home and was built on an Indian burial ground, but he didn't know if there was any truth to the claims. However, as he spent late nights alone cleaning up after parties and rentals, he experienced a series of eerie events—children's laughter in empty rooms, orbs of light drifting by, and a mysterious glass vase toppling over when no one was near. His coworkers weren't immune to the hauntings either. Together, they shared stories of whispering voices and slamming doors. This is a daily EXTRA from The Grave Talks. Chuck Cowdery was called “the dean of American whiskey journalism” by no less than Robert Simonson in the New York Times. So when I decided more than 250 episodes into this podcast to finally devote one to Mexican whiskey, I naturally invited my celebrated drinking buddy over. Ken Matsuyama proprietor of famed Tokyo whiskey bar Ken's Bar and Kojin Tashiro of Mugen Spirit share their love of spreading bourbon across the world. Kojin explains how his unique background of immigrating from Japan to America's Bourbon Capital has created his opportunity to bridge bourbon in America and Japan. Ken stands on the other side of said bridge by visiting America, developing a great friendship with Kojin and bringing his bourbon experiences back to Japan. Generations of singers have sung, played and loved the folk music found in the United Kingdom, and this week's podcast features some examples. Collectors A.L. Lloyd and Ralph Vaughn Williams transcribed and recorded traditional music and made it available to all through the English Folk Dance and Song Society. We'll listen to revivalist groups like The Watersons and the Copper Family, and then examine the electric side of the style with Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention. We will conclude with some of the bright lights on today's scene including Eliza Carthy and The Furrow Collective. A taste of old and new from the U.K. … this week on The Sing Out! What happens when a Christian summer camp tries to teach kids about spiritual warfare—by literally chasing “spirits” in the woods after dark? One listener recounts her terrifying experience at a rural camp where a so-called game may have opened the door to something much darker. What started as uneasy feelings turned into whispered voices, skulls in the shadows, and a full-on spiritual attack that left her screaming, paralyzed, and psychologically scarred. Years later, she's been diagnosed with PTSD from the event—but the mystery remains: was it all in her mind... or did something sinister truly follow her out of those woods? Sleep paralysis, dark entities, and one unforgettable night that changed everything. If you have a real ghost story or supernatural event to report, please write into our show or call 1-855-853-4802! On this episode, Tony Brueski digs into the chilling and majestic story of The Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel—an iconic building rooted in centuries of history, luxury, and mystery. From its origin atop Andrew Jackson's former military headquarters to the fire that nearly erased it from history, the Battle House has not only survived but may have preserved something else: the spirits of its past. Tony explores decades of reported encounters, from shadow figures and disembodied music to the mysterious Lady in White who glides across the lobby. Could the grandeur of the Battle House have imprinted itself on time—or is there something more intelligent haunting its storied halls? Stay tuned as we separate the echoes of history from the whispers of the unexplained.

What happens when your cleaning job becomes an impromptu playdate with the past? For one pair of sisters, a seemingly harmless cleaning gig turned into a ghostly encounter with playful spirits. What started as the usual cleaning job in a haunted house became a whimsical night of pranks, toys, and giggles from a ghostly child who just wanted attention. But when one of the sisters gets whacked on the head by an unseen force, things get even stranger. Is this a harmless haunting or something deeper? Instead of terrifying haunts, her house was more like having a couple of unexpected roommates—one being her great-grandmother, whose displeasure with wallpaper renovations seemed to transcend death. The other was Sammy, a black-and-white family cat who had been buried years ago but still found a way to make nightly rounds, leaving ghostly paw prints on the bed and meowing through the static of the box fan at 3 a.m. Chelsea's childhood was filled with these low-key hauntings that followed her all the way to Florida.
