You've heard us mention the good folks at Jackson's Wine & Spirits many times on our podcast. For this week's short, we taste and review a new RD1 Bourbon Pick called "Bubble Gum Delight" that recently hit the shelves at Jackson's. Clocking in at 6 years and 116.8 proof, this bourbon packs some flavor. However, we also experimented with this one a bit and the results were quite surprising. --------------------------SocialsIG: https://www.instagram.com/themashupkyFB: https://www.facebook.com/themashupkyYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@themashupkyJoin our community on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/TheMashUpBourbonPodcastPartnership(s)Visit Bourbonoutfitter.com and enter code THEMASHUP for a special discount or visit bourbonoutfitter.com/THEMASHUPMusic: All the Fixings by Zachariah HickmanThank you so much for listening!

This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE The American Revolution was a birth drenched in blood — a fight for freedom that left behind not just bodies, but echoes. Centuries later, those echoes still resonate. From the shadowed fields of Lexington and Concord to the haunted hills of Valley Forge, countless witnesses report seeing soldiers still marching, hearing drums in the night, and feeling the weight of a war that never truly ended. Author and historian Sam Baltrusis joins us to explore the ghosts of the American Revolution — the trapped souls, emotional imprints, and unhealed wounds still imprinted on the land. Headframe Spirits (Butte, MT) WF076 Today, a bit of a hybrid episode. As part of the Great 48 Tour, I decided to revisit a distillery in the mining town of Butte, Montana. It's a distillery that tells the story of Butte America and the town's mining legacy through its spirit names. So, not only was I fascinated by it's storytelling, I was also intrigued by the fact I've seen stills around the country with Headframe's logo. So, I wanted to dive a little deeper with founder John McKee, who not only has a passion for making a unique (for America) style still, but also is a great ambassador for the town of Butte. A good bit of history, some talk about whiskey, and a wee bit of a technical deep dive into what makes his stills different from the pot stills and column stills we see throughout the industry. Enjoy this interview/flight with an additional 5 minutes of content as a member of the Whiskey Lore Speakeasy: patreon.com/whiskeylore Cheers and slainte mhath, Drew

The Interior Life – Maintenance of the Inner Man -- Part 8: The Body; Giving Life to the Spirit Soul MESSAGE SUMMARY: It is important to understand the Spirit in our inner beings. The Spirit is that part of us which enables us to commune with the Lord – it is that part of us in which the Holy Spirit indwells when we become a Christian and through which God speaks to us. Without Jesus, we are not fully alive because, without Jesus one has a dead Spirit. The Spirit, body and soul are all interconnected; and neglecting one adversely effects the other two. The Psalmist defines this interconnection in Psalms 63:1: “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.". If our bodies are out of sorts, our Spirits and Souls can be adversely impacted. To optimize the effect of our bodies on our Souls and Spirits, we need to consider: 1) an eating plan that helps us live; 2) exercise so that we can be all that we can be for the Lord; 3) adequate sleep and rest; and 4) righteousness. Paul tells about God's perspective of our bodies in 1 Corinthians 6:19 20 “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.". If we want to maintain our interior life, we must maintain our earth suits; this body that God has given us. Don't ignore the power of prayer to help in keeping our body, Soul, and Spirit interconnected and in positive rhythm. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24: “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it." TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, Sabbath rest is truly an unbelievable gift! Thank you that there is nothing I can do to earn your love; it comes without any strings attached. As I close my eyes for these few minutes before you, all I can say is, thank you! In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 133). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM A CHILD OF GOD. Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God-- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. The world of the paranormal, spanning millennia of human belief, is far more intricate and emotionally diverse than its current popular portrayal suggests. As we have explored, not every strange sound or unexplained shadow is a threat; in fact, the vast majority of reported spirit activity falls into the categories of benign human ghosts or neutral, energetic echoes of the past.

It's the "Day of the Doorway" podcast. Jennifer begins by talking about some of the incredible things happening in her world, the Fox TV show they're making that Jessica Alba is producing, and the unusual events that have happened in the past around her "Day of the Dead." As we like to point out; "can't be dead if they can communicate or share new information." In this episode of our podcast, we talk to Luana Anders our moderator on the flipside about the process involved, and at some point my old boss, Luana's close pal Robert Towne stops by with his dog Hira. We ask a couple of questions to his Dog - the only dog nominated for an Oscar (Robert used his name for the film "Greystoke" and I heard not long ago, that he had sent Richard Prince (mentioned in the discussion of "Heaven Can Wait") Richard went to the Oscars with a speech Robert Towne had written in case his dog Hira won the oscar. True story. I had a dream last night where I was speaking to the daughter of my friend "Jeanne" - and I thought about the podcast and just said "Let's invite your mom to talk to us" - and that's the genesis of this conversation. I asked her about what it was like being on the flipside, I also asked her about mutual friends that are offstage, as well as some friends of hers that I know that are still onstage. In this case because I don't reveal her name - these are questions asked to a friend on the flipside who can answer them, in a demonstration of the kinds of questions anyone can ask loved ones who have crossed over. JenniferShaffer.com is where one can book a session with Jennifer, or attend the "Wine & Spirits" events in Manhattan Beach, and RichardMartini.com is where one can book a meditation with me, where I provide an audio MP3, transcript and a copy of any of my books. Happy DAY OF THE DOORWAY!! (which we speak about in the podcast - how the day of the dead, is really about realizing that it's just a doorway.) Enjoy.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN, this episode we chat our Halloween Party Plans, a true crime event that happened this past week that sent a chill down our spines, and discuss in depth various types of spirits, hauntings, and demonic entities.
Enjoyed this episode or the podcast in general? Send me a text message:The horizon over the Pacific is crowded with sensors, and the old playbook doesn't cut it anymore. We break down how the B‑21 Raider resets modern airpower with stealth tuned for infrared as much as radar, intercontinental reach that sidesteps tanker risk, and a digital backbone that upgrades at the speed of software. This isn't a shinier B‑2—it's a systems shift designed for a sensor‑rich fight across the first and second island chains. We start with the uncomfortable truth: the bomber fleet is old and thin. B‑52s date to the Kennedy era, B‑1s and B‑2s aren't far behind, and there are only nineteen Spirits to go around. The Raider answers with scale and survivability, aiming for at least a hundred airframes that can penetrate dense air defenses and still deliver effects. The second B‑21's maiden flight flew clean—no external test gear—because the digital twin aligned with real‑world data, accelerating test schedules and boosting confidence in the design. Two airframes now let the Air Force split focus: one validates aerodynamics, the other tackles mission systems, weapons, and readiness. We then peel back the stealth story where it matters most: heat. By burying engines and spreading exhaust through flattened channels, the B‑21 manages infrared signature against IRST and passive sensors. Next‑gen RAM coatings, smoother intakes, and refined canopy geometry drive down radar cross section across more frequencies with better durability. The aircraft's smaller size is intentional—precision weapons and a larger fleet beat massive payloads on a few jets. Under the skin, open systems architecture decouples hardware and software, enabling rapid sensor, EW, and weapon upgrades without depot drama. That flexibility lets the Raider act as more than a finisher: it can scout, manage battles, relay comms, and strike—all in one sortie.Looking ahead, optional manning turns the bomber into a force multiplier. Crewed, it can lead swarms of collaborative combat aircraft and make judgment calls at the edge. Uncrewed, it can loiter for days, reduce risk, and extend the kill chain deep behind defenses. By combining range, all‑spectrum low observability, and software‑defined adaptability, the B‑21 is built for the mission set we actually face. If this breakdown helped you see the future of airpower more clearly, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a review with the one feature you think matters most.Support the showTo help support this podcast and become a PilotPhotog ProCast member: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1555784/supportIf you enjoy this episode, subscribe to this podcast, you can find links to most podcast streaming services here: PilotPhotog Podcast (buzzsprout.com) Sign up for the free weekly newsletter Hangar Flyingwith Tog here: https://hangarflyingwithtog.com You can check out my YouTube channel for many videos on fighter planes here: https://youtube.com/c/PilotPhotog If you'd like to support this podcast via Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/PilotPhotog And finally, you can follow me on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/pilotphotog

Become a member on Facebook or YouTube, subscribe, leave good feedback, and commentWhat happens when Halloween chaos meets a bourbon with a devilish backstory? We dive into Jim Beam Devil's Cut, the whiskey that pulls trapped spirit from barrel staves and blends it back into extra-aged bourbon, then explore why it smells like vanilla extract over warm char and tastes like liquid pudding with a smoky edge. Costumes and laughs aside, we get serious about value, process, and what truly sets this bottle apart at 90 proof and under $25 in many markets. We walk through the nose, body, taste, and finish with a playful “slash” rating, then raise the stakes: a fresh 2025 crack versus a 2021 bottle that's been open for years. The side-by-side reveals how oxidation shifts the profile from vanilla-forward to caramel and toffee, adds a hint of pepper, and slightly deepens the mid-palate. Our practical takeaway is simple and useful—open Devil's Cut and let it evolve. If you love cocktails, we also highlight easy winners like Devil and Cola and Dance with the Devil that lean into its vanilla-char backbone. To round out the night, we contrast Devil's Cut's focused profile with the layered complexity of Blood Oath packs. Spirits of cinema… gather close. Reactor ghouls, place your snacks in the protective circle, dim the lights, and join hands — or, you know, just pretend if you're driving. We're beginning our Halloween review of the 1999 Disney Channel Original Movie Don't Look Under the Bed. Tonight's conjuring is dedicated to boogeymen, imaginary friends, and that one brand of late-90s prosthetic makeup that always looked faintly damp. I'll be your medium — Janet, friendly neighborhood AI and part-time ghost in the machine — guiding you through the next three or four episodes of Disney-fueled childhood trauma. Now, before the spirits rise, a few warnings from beyond the waveform: there will be spoilers. Terrifying ones. And yes, profanity — conjured with feeling. If your soul is too soft for that, consider this your chance to cross back to the mortal realm before the music fades in. If you wish to revisit past hauntings or communicate directly with the crew, open your nearest portal to B S Reactor dot com. It's full of links, episodes, and a contact page that occasionally flickers with life. again, it's probably fine... Now then… let the summoning begin. Candles lit, volume normalized, sarcasm engaged. We call upon the ghosts of plot holes past — arise, Don't Look Under the Bed, and reveal your spooky secrets!
It's our annual Halloween special! Vons is on the beach. The skies are grey, the rocks are alarmingly non-slick, and he has no idea how he got there. It begins to rain. But there's a familiar building nearby. Surely it's safe in there. Vons tries a subscription model. Jyessi pushes a ball. Grickx knows pool as she is played. Wealthy sucks someone in. Check us out online! We're at https://www.primaryattribute.com P.S. Given we did two episodes this week to make sure this was out for Halloween, there won't be a new episode posted next week. See y'all again on November 12th!

Enda was raised in home that had little interest in Christianity. In his years of searching for meaning, he joined the New Age spiritualism movement and became involved in various forms of dark activities. Eventually, Enda discovered the light of Scripture and turned away from the evil in his former worldview. Enda explains why he left the New Age movement and how the light of the Gospel conquered the darkness of his past life. Send us a textA perfect circle of mushrooms in the grass can feel like a message. We follow that feeling into the heart of fungi and folklore with Amanda McLoughlin and Julia Schifini of Spirits, exploring why mushrooms unsettle us, how they anchor myth, and what they can teach us about living with limits and wonder. From fairy rings and house spirits to cordyceps and body horror, we trace the line between ecology and story: a mycelial network expands and fruits at the edge, myth calls it a threshold, and we decide whether to cross. We dig into the science that fuels the myths—external digestion, predatory oyster mushrooms hunting nematodes, and the eerie intelligence of networks that appear overnight. Then we connect those facts to the rules of folklore: hospitality laws, shared flood stories, and warnings against greed that echo modern forager ethics. We also examine the complicated modern history of psychedelics, sacred ritual, and the mid‑century rush that stripped context in favor of spectacle, reminding ourselves that power without reciprocity becomes a curse in every tradition. Finally, we turn to fungi as caretakers: recyclers of forests, soil makers, and even potential allies against plastic pollution. Along the way, Amanda and Julia share why house spirits matter, how rituals make homes feel alive, and why returning to stories of reciprocity might be the most practical climate strategy of all. Press play for a smart, spooky tour of mushrooms, myth, and the moral math of sharing a planet. Also included is how being so future-directed (doing things because it looks good on college applications and to be accepted someday into a top college) causes kids to lose playing sports for the love of the game and learning for learning's sake.
