In a series of rants to reporters, President Trump's rage at Harvard took a sadistic and unhinged turn. He made it clear that only total subjugation to him on Harvard's part will satisfy him. This comes as a judge just blocked another one of his executive orders aimed at grinding a major law firm into submission, a big setback to Trump in a string of legal losses on that front. In today's episode, Katherine Stewart, a sharp observer of MAGA who has a new piece on her Substack about the Harvard catastrophe, explains that these things are connected: Trump's attacks on Harvard and other institutions are about creating the deliberate impression that we're sliding into lawlessness and terror, so victories like that one in court are a crucial reminder that we still do have the rule of law. Stewart explains why keeping alive this idea is so essential, why Trump is counting on you to lose sight of it, and what must happen now. Looking for More from the DSR Network? Comedian Aries Spears is trending again after he went on a rant on social media about Chicago Sky’s, Angel Reese and Indiana Fever’s, Caitlin Clark.” Spears harshly compared the two players and started out his rant by saying it’s not about race. On Instagram, Spears called Angel Reese, “Hot Garbage” and in the same breath, said Caitlin Clark is “Bananas” or “the truth.” He said that maybe if Angel Reese “spent more time in the gym instead of trying to be a runway model and be cute, we wouldn’t have this problem.” Spears said we need to stop using the race card… it’s about ball… who’s good and who’s not. It was not just Spears’ message that enraged fans, it was his profanity and the disrespectful jabs he made at Reese.Steve Harvey Morning Show Online: http://www.steveharveyfm.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this thought-provoking episode of Steve's Rants, Steve Sims dives deep into a surprising reason why so many companies stumble—not from a lack of opportunities, but from too many. Drawing on his experience working with entrepreneurs, Steve highlights how early business success often leads to an overwhelming flood of new possibilities, collaborations, and ideas. The danger, he argues, is that entrepreneurs are naturally wired to say “yes” to opportunity, but this can actually cause businesses to implode under the weight of endless options and distractions. Steve shares a refreshing, practical system for managing this opportunity overload without ever having to say the dreaded word “no.” He introduces a simple three-column approach—“now,” “not now,” and “not me”—to help prioritize ideas, stay focused, and avoid burnout. Through real-world examples and his signature straight talk, Steve reveals how moving ideas between these columns can keep your business on track while still allowing space for creativity and growth. He stresses the value of knowing your strengths, outsourcing weaknesses, and focusing on what you do best. This episode is a must-listen for entrepreneurs and business owners seeking clarity amid chaos. Discover why being selective with opportunities is crucial to long-term success, and learn how a disciplined approach to innovation can keep your business thriving—even in the face of constant temptation to chase the next big thing. As always, Steve encourages listeners to take action: disrupt, connect, and grow, because life's too short to play it safe.
Recorded on Memorial Day, in the Palm Street Studio. Jobu gets some rum, not Malort, extra inning baseball now sucks in MLB, and artificial fruit flavors that drive us nuts. GHC has his hand full with his family and he finally goes out fishing with Phil. JTK needs a new plate and is riding dirty. The Grumpy Griller shows up mid episode. Tires for the Mini Cooper are hard to find. Vinny is the man! The worldwide charts for the podcast. A cum rag story.

Google's big marketing event was an explosion of AI - a new home screen, more agents, AI video and even smart bidding. Why? Google's main revenue stream (search ads) is in big trouble. Is Google going the way of the yellow pages? The boys ponder. And Apple is in trouble too. OpenAI buys IO, run by the designer behind the iPhone. It seems that OpenAI is going into the hardware business, with their sights directly on Apple. In other news, a major newspaper releases the books of the year without real books and Netflix steps in to syndicate Sesame Street. Winners and losers include a furniture store and Peloton. President Trump's presser on Wednesday flew off the rails. He raged at a reporter for questioning his acceptance of a luxury jet from Qatar. He snapped when asked why he's resettling white Afrikaners but no other refugees. And he tried to humiliate the South African president by brandishing printouts about the deaths of white South Africans but couldn't defend his lie of a “white genocide” unfolding there. The corruption and the white nationalism—Trump openly promised both during the campaign, and he's now doing them. Yet on the latter, a new Marquette poll finds wide public disapproval of Trump's deportations of longtime residents, and shows independents tiling strongly against him on immigration, revealing fresh weakness on this issue. We talked to veteran labor strategist Michael Podhorzer, author of a new piece on his Substack arguing that the anti-MAGA majority that didn't show up in 2024 is now visibly reconstituting itself in polls. He explains that Trump's unhinged presser helps show how Trump himself is making that happen. Looking for More from the DSR Network? In this thought-provoking episode of Steve's Rants, Steve Sims dives into the role of data, logic, and magic in building a successful business, challenging the conventional wisdom that data-driven decisions should rule every move. Steve unpacks the truth about data—how it's inherently backward-looking, keeping your focus anchored in the past even if it's just by a second. Drawing on real-world examples from iconic innovators like Edison, Henry Ford, and Kodak, he illustrates how logic and data can lead to incremental progress, but rarely to real disruption. Steve passionately argues that true innovation and game-changing success come from making space for "magic": creativity, spontaneity, and bold ideas that aren't always rooted in logic or past trends. From the unexpected rise of the Sex Pistols and Elvis to the cultural impact of films like The Matrix, he shows how breakthroughs happen when you're willing to break away from what data and logic deem possible. With his signature no-nonsense style, Steve encourages entrepreneurs to stop playing it safe, disrupt the norm, and use data as a guide—not a cage. This episode is a must-watch for any business owner ready to move beyond the status quo, tap into their creative side, and create something that truly stands out in the marketplace. Learn why the future belongs to those who make space for magic, not just metrics.

“Your F-ing Kids”? Therapist Explains the Psychological Toll of Karen Read's Rants What kind of person lies in bed next to two children—John O'Keefe's niece and nephew, the very kids he raised after their parents died—and unleashes a verbal tirade about how their uncle is a “f-ing pervert,” a “f-ing loser,” and is “f-ing another girl”? In this eye-opening episode, psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins us to dissect the disturbing behavior allegedly exhibited by Karen Read. With decades of experience in analyzing narcissistic rage, emotional dysregulation, and psychological manipulation, Shavaun offers deep insight into what these outbursts might signal—and why they're so damaging to Read's credibility. We explore: – Why Karen Read's own words are undermining her defense – The psychological toll on the children present during her verbal explosions – How rage triggered by a woman's name used for directions may point to deeper pathology – The difference between grief, guilt, and reputational panic – How jurors may perceive unfiltered emotional outbursts when children are involved This isn't just a legal case—it's a window into unchecked emotion, possible narcissistic traits, and the damage done when raw emotion becomes courtroom evidence. #KarenRead #ShavaunScott #KarenReadTrial #TrueCrime #PsychologicalAnalysis #NarcissisticRage #JohnOKeefe #CourtroomBehavior #HiddenKillers #EmotionalControl Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In this episode, Alex talks about why Trump's trip to the Gulf States to meet with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Syria, shows that his foreign policy goals will be transactional and immoral. Next, Grok, the AI chatbot produced by Elon Musk's xAI, seems to be obsessed with South Africa and conspiracies about “white genocide.” Many are wondering if this is intentional. Finally, Stephen Miller thinks that the “emergency” at the Southern Border is enough for the administration to suspend Habeas Corpus. Alex argues that only Congress can suspend this action and also worries that people like Miller see this as a window of opportunity to suspend government overreach.

In this revealing episode of Steve's Rants, Steve Sims opens up about a pivotal moment in his entrepreneurial journey—how the media, despite its glamorous allure, nearly destroyed his business. Drawing from his days running an exclusive private concierge service for high-profile clients like Elon Musk, Richard Branson, and Elton John, Steve shares the critical role anonymity played in his success and recounts how a single major feature in Forbes led to an unexpected downfall. Steve candidly describes the backlash he faced after being thrust into the spotlight: instead of attracting more wealthy clients, he lost 60% of his business practically overnight. His core clientele, who valued discretion and secrecy, could no longer be seen working with the man known as the “wizard of Oz.” Instead, he attracted attention from those looking for quick access to the glamorous lifestyle—clients that added little value and much hassle. With his original business model in ruins, Steve gets real about the myth that “all media is good media.” But in true entrepreneurial spirit, he explains how he transformed this crisis into a new opportunity. The media attention ultimately propelled him to publish his bestselling book, Bluefishing: The Art of Making Things Happen, and launch a new career as a speaker and corporate consultant. Through personal stories, blunt honesty, and practical advice, Steve urges fellow entrepreneurs to understand that while attention and media coverage can open doors, it's what you do with that attention that defines your path. Instead of passively waiting for success to roll in, Steve encourages using every bit of attention as a tool to pivot, grow, and shape your future. This episode is a must-listen for entrepreneurs and business owners who want to leverage media attention the smart way—learning from Steve's hard-earned experience that sometimes, the worst moments can lead to the greatest reinventions. Discover why—not all media is created equal—and how taking control of your narrative can transform disaster into your next big break.

In this whirlwind episode of *Off the Screen*, Jordon kicks things off with a dramatic recounting of his misstep—literally—when he stepped in dog droppings, setting the tone for a session filled with retail horror stories. The hosts delve into the challenges of double shifts, navigating through cough-and-sneeze aisles, and the chaos that ensues when “Tuesday night recording” coincides with the Celtics' tip-off.As they explore new ideas, they brainstorm an “unplugged” mini-podcast segment to discuss life's oddities beyond basketball. The mood becomes heartfelt as they celebrate Gilbert Arenas's son's miraculous recovery from a near-fatal accident and pay tribute to Gregg Popovich's transition from the NBA's longest-tenured head coach to Spurs president following his stroke—sharing touching anecdotes from players and applauding Pop's lasting impact.Back on the court, the trio declares this playoff season to be one of the most electrifying since the bubble era. They reminisce about unforgettable moments: Kawhi Leonard's game-saving block, Anthony Davis's 30-foot buzzer-beater, Damian Lillard's iconic series-clincher, and the Suns' perfect bubble run. They even honor Paul Pierce's post-game journey—slippers in tow—following his ill-fated guarantee of a Celtics win.The climax of the episode focuses on dissecting the Celtics' shocking back-to-back Game 1 and 2 collapses versus New York, characterized by record-setting mistakes, fourth-quarter scoring droughts, and Jason Tatum's chilling cold streak. As frustrations boil over, Jordan and the team navigate the emotional rollercoaster, pointing fingers at defensive breakdowns, clutch roles, and pondering whether Tatum's postseason journey is a matter of destiny or a personal demon.
