In this episode of Podcast in Death, We dive into another "We Review the Reviews" session. This time taking on Apprentice in Death and wow, do the one-star reviewers have thoughts. Is Roarke just a billionaire Mary Sue with too much access to NYPSD investigations? Is a laser rifle supposed to have recoil? And most importantly… is outrage over Nora calling a fictional school “Hillary Clinton High” the hill to die on?We also make a big announcement: for the next three months, we're taking a detour into Nora Roberts' Chronicles of the One series! We've teased it before, but now we're finally doing it—and yes, Tara will actually finish the series this time. (Fingers crossed.)Highlights of this episode include:Rants about how Nora's fictional science doesn't match up with some people's view of Real Science. So many people really pissed about Roarke's 10-minute miracle app that would be impossible for anyone to do, except now it can be done with ChatGPT.A laser-focused (pun intended) takedown of angry reviewers who just… really need to stop reading if they hate the books this much.A moment of appreciation for Susan Ericksen, aka Saint Susan of Ericksen, and her flawless narration.

Episode 2248 – In this episode of The Goin' Deep Show, The Kid and El Pres go balls-deep into everything from baseball betrayal to sperm health stats. Things kick off with a rant about Kirk Gibson rocking a Dodgers jersey at a Tigers opener — total team loyalty fail — and spiral straight into a 50-year study claiming that better sperm means a longer life. (Pro tip: 21 ejaculations a month = good prostate vibes.) From there, it's all chaos: Texas lawmakers trying to ban kids from identifying as furries in school, Snapchat filters gone wild, and a disturbing number of middle schoolers doing tongue-between-fingers in yearbook photos. Phones are ruining society, duck lips are out of control, and Steve Jobs is probably rolling in his grave. Amid the madness, there's a rare human moment as El Pres shares a story about an autistic Survivor contestant pushing through sensory overload — a brief reminder that not everyone is completely lost. But don't worry, we're back to trashing OnlyFans culture and fake internet fame in seconds. Listen now at goingdeepshow.com – because therapy is expensive and we're more fun anyway. Topics covered: • Kirk Gibson's controversial Dodgers appearance during a Tigers opener • The difference between school spirit and authentic team loyalty • A 50-year study linking sperm health to longevity — and the surprising benefits of regular ejaculation • Generational behavior shifts: kids identifying as animals, social media validation, and early sexual awareness • A heartwarming moment from Survivor featuring an autistic contestant overcoming a challenge • Concerns over cosmetic pressures and influencer culture affecting young women • Modern society's obsession with titles, categories, and “being special” • A look at outdated labor laws and historical context of early adulthood • Rants on the unintended societal consequences of smartphones and tech
In this lively and fiery episode, Rob Carson takes listeners on a personal and political rollercoaster that begins with a heartfelt story about reconnecting with his biological family over a home-cooked dinner. The personal anecdote gives way to hard-hitting commentary on current events—from Chinese knockoff products to election integrity.

This pod is an outlet to vent after watching Real Housewives of Atlanta where Brit seemingly faced no network consequences for trying to intimidate and/or threaten a cast member by talking about having a weapon - and then watching a ridiculous ending to a slow paced, multi-season Yellowstone prequel. Kenya absolutely went too far, however it was odd to not see swift action to check a cast member for bringing up weapons at all, and that Kenya's prepared remarks and displays were a complete surprise to producers. Then, I loosely summarize the plot of Yellowstone 1923, a show whose last bundle of episodes were riddled with extreme violence towards its women characters. My rant on the show focuses on writer/creator Taylor Sheridan's choice to continue that trend and end the series with a grand display of senseless loss felt less like an attempt to relay life's harsh realities and more like emphatic overkill. Yellowstone 1923 rant starts at 28:46 and is FULL OF SPOILERSAll opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda. Grant's feeling a bit more hopeful about the 2025 season lately, while Lee talks about having reasonable hope compared to blind hope. Nevertheless the vibes coming out of spring ball have been pretty good, particularly surrounding the WRs. Grant says it's reasonable to be excited about many parts of the roster, but there are 3-4 position groups with serious questions (2:05). We watched practice video of pass catchers taking on DBs in 1-on-1s and we've got a lot of thoughts. Probably the most we've talked about the tight ends in a long time (18:20). We also got 1-on-1s of the O-Line taking on the D-Line. Several practice thoughts commence. It seems reasonable to expect David Stone to make a jump based on the evidence on hand (37:35). It appears Lee's conspiracy theory about Gentry Williams was wrong (50:05). Brent Venables appeared with Josh Pate in a recent interview. Lee has many thoughts-- most of them negative, but we did learn at least a couple of things (53:40). Trae Young is now the assistant GM for men's basketball, but what does that mean? Rants about players transferring all the time (1:10:20). Lamenting the death of the traditional spring game (1:19:30). | Like the show on Facebook: @westofeverest | Follow Grant on Twitter: @GrantBenson25 | Follow Lee on Twitter: @LeeBensonTweets
In this thought-provoking episode of Steve's Rants, Steve Sims delves into a common entrepreneurial question: "What would you do if you were broke tomorrow?" Steve explores this scenario from two angles—what you could do if you have existing assets and relationships versus starting from scratch with nothing but your determination and curiosity. He emphasizes the importance of relationships as the true currency in today's world of distrust and misinformation. Steve advocates for leveraging these relationships in times of need, highlighting that real equity may not lie in your bank account but in your ability to reach out and request help from your network. For those who may find themselves without established connections, Steve advises embedding yourself into environments and circles that align with your aspirations, even if it means starting at the bottom. He shares the journeys of notable figures like Mark Burnett and Simon Cowell, illustrating how entering the right "sandpit" can lead to powerful growth and opportunities. Throughout his discussion, Steve underscores the need to continually assess and adapt your skillset in a rapidly evolving technological landscape, warning against complacency as industries face disruption. His message is clear: stay aggravated, stay curious, and harness that drive to create momentum toward your goals. This episode offers invaluable advice for entrepreneurs navigating uncertain times and highlights the critical role of adaptability and relationship-building in achieving lasting success.
