In this podcast, we continue our series on building your implementation literacy by talking about research to practice and the critical role equity plays in  implementation practice.   To help us continue to unpack this topic, we asked our friends at the Center for Implementation, Dr. Julia Moore and Dr. Sobia Khan to join us.  Dr. Julia E. Moore is the Executive Director for The Center for Implementation and co-founder of the Behavior Elevation Academy. Dr. Moore has a PhD from Penn State in Human Development, where she was trained as an implementation scientist, researching the best ways to implement evidence-based programs. She has worked on over 100 implementation projects.  Dr. Moore is known internationally for her ability to communicate complex implementation science concepts in clear and practical ways. Dr. Moore developed the online mini-course, Inspiring Change: creating impact with evidence-based implementation, which has been completed by over 5000 professionals from around the world.Dr. Sobia Khan, is the Director of Implementation at the Center for Implementation. Dr. Sobia Khan is a global expert on how to practically implement complex interventions in complex systems. For over 12 years, her passion for integrating implementation science, systems thinking, and complexity theory to achieve large-scale change has been illustrated through her work on multiple implementation projects in Canada, the U.S., Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Myanmar, and Kosovo. Recent highlights of Dr. Khan's work include supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in their opioid response by embedding implementation science and systems thinking into their tools and approaches as well as being an implementation science collaborator with the WHO to support healthcare organizations by building a toolkit on infection prevention and control best practices for COVID-19.  

In this podcast, we continue our series on building your implementation literacy by talking about research to practice and the critical role implementation plays in the Science of Reading.   To help us continue to unpack this topic, we asked our new friend, Dr. Stephanie Stollar to join us.  Dr. Stephanie Stollar is the founder of Stephanie Stollar Consulting, LLC and the creator of The Reading Science Academy.  Dr. Stollar is also a part-time assistant professor in the online Reading Science Program at Mount St. Joseph University, and a founding member of a national alliance for supporting reading science in higher education.
