Dr. Livingstone Smith explains why race is a destructive and oppressive delusion. His most recent book Less Than Human: Why We Demean, Enslave and Exterminate Others(St. Martin's Press, 2011) won the2012 Anisfield-Wolf award for nonfiction, which recognizes books that have made important contributions to our understanding of racism and our appreciation of the rich diversity of human cultures(see Awards Ceremony video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEpIokNJNmo He was also a guest speaker at the 2012 G20 summit, where he spoke on dehumanization and mass violence.
