“Son, if I was afraid of threatening people, I wouldn't be here right now.” While still working to recover Kas, Rowena and HJ have a series of other reunions, first with their mysterious Dwarven acquaintance Gee, and then with HJ's Tabaxi mentor Ghost Rising. The pair also learn more about who Courtney really is, and what repercussions that might have for their party, only increasing Rowena's hypervigilance and constant suspicion. HJ finally gains valuable information on the nature of his quest, but the truth may mean the end of his boundless optimism.
