The prosecution convicted Alex Murdaugh of double murder in March 2023 without ever producing the weapons used to kill his wife Maggie and son Paul at the family's Moselle estate on June 7, 2021. The shotgun that killed Paul and the rifle that killed Maggie have never been recovered.FITSNews reported on September 25, 2026, that SLED investigators and statewide grand jury prosecutors are now investigating allegations that Yemassee Police Chief Greg Alexander helped dispose of those weapons. Locals in Hampton County have called Alexander the Murdaugh family's fixer for years.Witnesses have allegedly testified before the grand jury that they saw the murder weapons in Alexander's hands in the immediate aftermath of the killings. The Post and Courier reported that a second, unnamed Yemassee officer is also under investigation. The accusation: both officers allegedly transported weapons and bloody clothing into the Yemassee police department the morning after the murders.Alexander's attorney admits his client was at the Moselle property that night. Yemassee doesn't have jurisdiction over the estate.About a month after the killings, Alex Murdaugh wrote Alexander a $5,000 check. Alexander told FITSNews it was a loan for his parents and he was just a pass-through. He declined to say whether the money was repaid. Murdaugh family members and allies gave $5,500 to Alexander's campaign for Hampton County sheriff.Alexander's history with the Murdaugh power structure goes back further. In 2012, he was indicted for stealing nearly $11,000 in seizure money from motorists. He was tried in Hampton County with the Murdaugh family's backing, acquitted, and returned to the force.If the grand jury witnesses are credible, the retrial implications are significant. The prosecution's case has always rested on Alex acting alone. A police chief allegedly holding the murder weapons changes that narrative before a second jury hears the case in April 2027.Alexander has not been charged. His attorney calls the allegations absurd. The Central Otago District Council may dump controversial plans to dispose of treated human effluent onto farmland. It originally wanted to discard thousands of cubic metre of dried sludge on land near the small settlement of Lauder, just over 60 kilometres from Cromwell. After 25 years of training new therapists from seminaries, secular universities, and everything in between, Chris says most show up convinced a lawsuit is coming the moment anyone learns what they personally believe.We start with the phrase "check your values at the door," and Chris shows why it collapses under its own logic. He tells the story of a local university that stopped sending students to Aletheia after an intern wrote that she was glad she wasn't required to counsel same-sex couples, and what happened when he asked the professors whether a survivor of assault should be required to treat abusers.We also look at what the record actually shows about therapists getting in trouble for declining certain clients, why the process is so often the punishment, and why some talented clinicians are giving up their licenses to work as coaches. In this island country off the coast of India in the Indian Ocean, the men participated in the bombings of three churches on Easter Sunday in 2019. Religiously speaking, nearly 70 percent of the 22 million Sri Lankans are Buddhist, 12 percent are Hindu, 11 percent are Muslim, and 7 percent are Christian.  The terrorist group, Islamic State, inspired the attacks which killed over 250 people. The Catholic Church welcomed the convictions. However, leaders are also calling for an investigation into alleged political involvement behind the bombings. South Korea to greenlight Abortion Kill Pill for mothers LifeSiteNews reports that South Korea is set to allow deadly abortion drugs into the country. The government made the announcement last week. Mothers will be able to get Abortion Kill Pills up to nine weeks of their pregnancies by early 2027. South Korea decriminalized abortion in 2019. It delayed legislation on abortion pills due to push back from Christian groups.  United Nations trying to criminalize pro-life & pro-family positions The United Nations General Assembly meeting opened in New York City on Tuesday.  Leaders from around the world gathered to discuss issues like the U.S.-Iran war, the Russia-Ukraine war, and Artificial Intelligence.  Member nations are also considering a proposal to criminalize pro-life and pro-family positions under international law. New York University Langone Hospitals and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center will no longer offer transgender drugs and surgeries to children.  Attorney General Todd Blanche said, “Today's resolutions send a clear message: Hospitals that target children in these practices and then fraudulently obtain payment for the procedures will be held to account!” Over 40 hospital systems have ended transgender operations since President Trump began his second term last year. 28 percent of churchgoers say Biblical truth becomes obsolete LifeWay Research released a new survey on what churchgoers believe about the Bible. Most Protestant churchgoers in the U.S. are confident in their ability to understand the Bible and explain it to others. However, most churchgoers also believe that the truth of God's Word can mean different things to different people. And a growing number share doubt or reject Biblical truths.  Specifically, 28 percent said some Biblical truths become obsolete as culture changes, up from 24 percent in 2019. Advanced Micro Devices, or AMD, surpassed one trillion dollars in market capitalization on Monday. The computer chip maker has profited from the growth of Artificial Intelligence computing.  It's now the fourth chipmaker in the United States to reach a trillion dollar valuation. The others are Nvidia, Broadcom, and Micron.   Researchers discovered new species of wild cat And finally, researchers discovered a new species of wild cat for the first time in a century.  It's known as the Tilcayo tiger cat. The feline is spotted and smaller than most house cats. It's been living at a wildlife sanctuary in Bolivia, South America for years. Locals knew about it, but scientists had not identified it as a unique species until now.  Jonas Lescroart with the University of Antwerp said, “Even in groups that are very well studied, like the cat family, apparently there's still a diversity that is hidden.” Indeed, God continues to surprise us with His creation.
