Music journalist and deep cut justice warrior Saby RK takes the plunge into the vast catalog of the iconic rock trio Rush (one of his favorite bands since the age of 12) and expounds on his favorite deep cuts. The first part from several hours' worth of interviews I conducted with Away on four separate occasions (in 2020 and 2022, as well as 2003), we discussed the dangers of hyper-accelerating technology, the band's unique sci-fi lyrical inspirations, a never-released lost album, Away's biggest career regret, the numerous lineup + style changes over the band's career, and the glory days of thrash. 

In typically biting fashion, the legendary guitarist dishes for an hour about his new book of short stories, his time as a member of The Police, his perspective on the USA, the confinement of fame, and the difference between writing prose and nonfiction. 

In 1997, I read a music review in an issue of Rolling Stone. My life's course was basically determined on the spot.
