- I LA er Rage Against The Machines single “Killing In The Name of” selve kernen af en rasende rap metal-revolution, mens Bodycount heller ikke lægger fingre imellem på deres debutalbum. - Nirvanas Dave Grohl, Kurt Cobain og Alice in Chains-sanger Layne Staley dyrker danske Mercyful Fate i stor stil.

In this episode of the Willie Jackerson Experiment, we march straight into legend and blood-soaked history with the rise of Alexander the Great—the king who didn't just dream of empire… he took it.From the battlefields of Persia to the edges of the known world, we break down how a young ruler turned relentless ambition into one of the greatest military campaigns in human history. Strategy, speed, fearlessness—this is conquest at its most brutal and brilliant.Fueling the march is the crushing sound of Kreator and their war-driven anthem Conquer and Destroy—a soundtrack that hits as hard as a phalanx charge and echoes the chaos of ancient warfare. This isn't just history—it's domination, legacy, and the mindset of a man who refused limits.⚔️ How did Alexander build an unstoppable force?⚔️ What made his tactics centuries ahead of their time?⚔️ And what happens when there's nothing left to conquer?Turn it up, brace for impact, and step onto the battlefield—because this is history at full volu
Was ein Abriss! Was sind eure Top 5 Thrash Songs? ThemenIntro 00:00KonzertreviewKreator, Carcass, Exodus, Nails | Berlin 01:19Unverkalt, Haven | Berlin 30:12Hypocrisy, Abbath, Vreid, Vomitory | Berlin 31:16Top 5 Thrash Songs 24:34KonzerttippsThrash Talk Berlin | 26. This week we bring you the first installment of Jarvis' interview with Carlos Cruz, a veteran drummer perhaps best known for his work in Warbringer and Powertrip. The interview begins with Carlos discussing his deep family roots in music, including his grandfather's recorded output. After a detour into the perils and hazards to the human body of playing heavy metal music for an extended period of time, and the corresponding need for self-care and treatment along the way, the interview traces Carlos' musical journey through high school cover bands to the burgeoning LA thrash movement in the early 2000s and eventually to the pivotal moment when he joined Warbringer in 2010. From 1981, the episode covers peak-era albums by 38 Special, April Wine, and Styx, all enjoying major commercial success during this period. Jumping back 50 years to 1976, we discuss releases from Bad Company and Grand Funk Railroad, each facing internal and external challenges at different points in their careers. Wrapping up the historical portion at 55 years (1971), we explore early albums from ZZ Top, Mountain, Lucifer's Friend, and Dust, capturing the formative years of heavy rock and metal. The episode also includes a rundown of new rock and metal releases, featuring recent albums from Alter Bridge, Bullet, Kreator, Gluecifer, Helix, and a final studio release tied to the farewell era of Megadeth. Patreon Goodness In this episode I am joined by the legendary main man of Canadian thrash pioneers Sacrifice, Rob Urbinati. They released their latest album "Volume Six" earlier this year which I was tipped off about by Todd from Propagandhi (thanks Todd!) and its an absolute old school banger. Having both been around since the 80's we had a lot of common ground to cover and cover it we did, this is a long one and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. As always there is in depth coverage of the latest metal news afterwards, some of it interesting and some of it AI rubbish. This Is 50th Anniversary Box Set Bollocks. Kreator

At long last Shannon gets to talk about the book she's been planning on since the last Halloween episode — The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. We first discuss the Aesthetic Movement of the 19th century and a tiny bit of the life of Oscar Wilde before we jump into the book itself. Then Bryce gifts you with an abbreviated history of metal music. Get a notepad ready to take notes because he gives you a LOT of information! Happy Halloween! Last week I listened to 50 new bands, how did that go? find out.....can any of them stand up to the old classics? What does it take to carve your space in the scene now as a new band and what seems to be lacking? This week, Harri Kuokkanen from Finnish death doom ensemble, Hooded Menace, joins me to unpack their upcoming record, “Lachrymose Monuments of Obscuration”. We explore the band's sonic evolution, their decision to no longer play live and our shared obsession with all things Danzig and Samhain. On the Weekly News Rant, the latest singles by Enthroned, Agnostic Front, Corrosion of Conformity, Bliss of Flesh, Kreator and Soulfly are rounded up for judgment. I also answer your questions, including my take on W.A.S.P's “The Headless Children”, what veteran bands I consider to still be at the top of their game and much more. PLUS: London legends, Corpsing, just dropped a live EP and you get a taste of what to expect on this week's edition of Unsanctioned Filth.
