Without any exaggeration, Nikki Glaspie can be described as one of the best drummers in the world today. In addition to her own successful formation The Nth Power, she has already supported industry greats such as Beyoncé and Maceo Parker with her expressive and unique style.Nikki has been dedicated to music since early childhood, which led her to singing and playing keyboards in church and finally falling in love with the drum set. During her youth, she was inspired by a wide variety of music, ranging from The Gap Band to Rage Against the Machine. While studying at Berklee College Of Music, she fortunately had the chance to learn from drum artists such as Dennis Chambers, Kenwood Dennard and Angelamia Bachemin. The daughter of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has released her debut album. ‘Be Sweet To Me' is the first album from Violet Grohl, with a sound reminiscent of 1990s alternative rock. Though it's primarily rock, the eleven tracks do feature elements of heavy metal, folk, and jazz, Grohl citing the Breeders, PJ Harvey, Pixies, Soundgarden, and Cocteau Twins as her primary influences. Nevermind changed everything. Music, fashion, pop culture and Nirvana lead singer, guitar player and songwriter, Kurt Cobain became the voice of a generation. The band included underrated bassist Krist Novoselic and new hard hitting drummer and future leader of the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl. Nevermind was Nirvana's 2nd studio album was produced by Butch Vig. It made it to #1 on Billboard album charts and eventually went 13 times platinum and sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. The album broke the grunge movement and was partially responsible for killing "hair metal." The record - the group's twelfth - is out on Friday 24 April ahead of a worldwide tour that includes two dates at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium.  From Nirvana, Foos and Them Crooked Vultures to collaborations with the likes of David Bowie, Juliette Lewis, and Paul McCartney, the world of Dave Grohl is a great place to orbit. Melissa Auf der Maur is an acclaimed musician, photographer, curator, and producer, best known as the former bassist of rock bands Hole and The Smashing Pumpkins.
