Industrial designer, Konstantin Grcic, joins Adam Strudwick, Principal at HLW, for a thought-provoking discussion on the future of the workplace, hosted by Established & Sons. Recorded during Clerkenwell Design Week 2019, the conversation touches on virtual offices, the ‘death’ of open-plan, and the impacts of factors like freelancing, start-up culture and coworking on the workplace as we know it.   Konstantin Grcic is known for his pared-down style, recently collaborating with Established & Sons for their At Work furniture collection – a response to the rise of hybrid live/work spaces. Adam Strudwick oversees major architectural design projects at HLW; the company have recently transformed workspaces for the likes of Sky, Booking.com and Royal Mail.

Jessica Christin Hametner, Editor at OnOffice magazine, hosts this engaging panel on the topic of sustainable design and its impact on ‘healthy’ communities. Jessica is joined by Katrina Larkin, Co-founder and Head of Experience at Fora, Catherine van der Heide, Interior Designer and Senior Associate at HASSELL, and Ben Hopkins of Bennetts Associates - the first architecture practice to commit to the UN’s Climate Neutral Now campaign.    The discussion focuses on the questions: What makes a building healthy? What impact can architectural design have on our behaviour? What’s the link between sustainability and the community? How can we ensure sustainability isn’t just another fad?
