Paul Sculthorpe MBE joins the game breakers podcast for this episode. The former Great Britain international representative stand-off or loose forward, who began his career at Warrington before joining St Helens, with whom he won a total of four Grand Finals, four Challenge Cups and two World Club Challenges, as well as becoming the first (and currently only) player to win the Man of Steel Award on two consecutive occasions. Paul, shares his story with us as we delve deeper behind the man and his mental skills which has seen him achieve so much in the sport.
Episode 2 - Game Breakers interview non other than Rugby League legend Lee Briers. Lee, began his career at Saints, making his debut at 18 years of age. Made his international debut for Wales in 1998 making 23 appearances in his international career Briers was capped by Great Britain v France in their 42-12 win on 26 October 2001. Lee is multiple Challenge cup Winner in both (2009 & 2010 as well as winning the Lance Todd trophy that year. Lee then won the competition again in 2012 before adding a winners medal as assistant coach of the Warrington Wolves in 2019. He played 425 games for Warrington, scoring a club record 2,586 points. Briers began his coaching career through the academy pathway at Warrington and is still the current assistant first team coach alongside head coach Steve Price.
