What a week it's been for Fraser Forster. First there was Manchester United in the Carabao Cup, which Tottenham won. Then there was Liverpool in the Premier League, which Tottenham resoundingly lost. The understudy to Guglielmo Vicario has been called out for his lack of ability when playing out, raising suspicions Spurs might enter the market in January with Vicario not back until mid-February. We run the rule over his two performances, plus that of Danny Ward, Jordan Pickford and Emi Martinez - the latter being crowned the FIFA Best Men's Goalkeeper for the second time in three years. Merry Christmas!
The Nightmare before Christmas! Battered by Wolves and Newcastle... where do Leicester go from here!?! Pete, Tom and Dave try and shed a bit of Christmas positivity on the chaos. Don't listen if you're Danny Ward. Merry Christmas!

Reprezentacja Polski pewnie wygrała z Estonią 5:1 i we wtorek w Cardiff zagra z Walią w bezpośrednim meczu o awans na tegoroczne mistrzostwa Europy.
Iwobi and Bassey scored the goals for Fulham that earned them a win against Man United at Old Trafford. Calvin Bassey opened the scoring in the 65th minute and Manchester United had to start chasing the equalizer till the end of the game, Harry Maguire found the equalizer in the 89th minute, but Alex Iwobi and Fulham had other plans. Substitute, Adama Traore set up Alex Iwobi in the 7th minute of stoppage time and Alex Iwobi made no mistakes when he cut in and slotted the ball into the left-hand side of the net. It was lovely to see two Nigerians win such a big game for their team Taiwo Awoniyi assisted Niakhate's first half goal. He was taken off at half time and will be assessed as he really hasn't returned to full fitness. Emmanuel Dennis scored Watford's only goal in their loss at home to Huddersfield. Dennis put his team up in the 55th minute, but goals in the 70th and 83rd minute from Danny Ward won the 3 points for Huddersfield and leaves Watford 11th in the EFL Championship Victor Osimhen returned to the starting lineup for Napoli in their UCL round of 16 home game against Barcelona. Robert Lewandowski put the visitors ahead in the 60th minute before Osimhen pulled on back for Napoli in the 75th minute to earn a draw before heading to Barcelona for the return leg on March 12. Away at Cagliari, Osimhen put his team up in the 65th minute and Napoli seemed to be on their way to a victory that would have moved the team up to 8th, but Zito Luvumbo scored a 96th-minute equalizer for both teams to share a point. Cyriel Dessers scored two goals against Hearts in Rangers home game against Hearts. Rangers won the game 5-0. Dessers continues his wonderful season in which he now has 16 goals and 5 assists in all competitions. Could be catching the attention of some clubs in the top 5 leagues. Ebenezer Akinsanmiro (19) made his Inter Milan debut in their away game against Lecce in which they won 4-0. Inter remain 1st on the table. Akinsanmiro had previously played for Remo Stars and Inter's U-19 team. The Super Falcons defeated the indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 1-0 in the Moshood Abiola national stadium in Abuja. Esther Okoronkwo scored Nigeria's only goal in the 2024 Olympics qualifying match and the team will face the winners of the South Africa vs Tanzania game which will be played tomorrow. Their next match will be in April against South Africa Other performances to note: Moses Simon got the assist for Nantes' only goal in their 1-0 win against Lorient. Nantes now 12th in the league from 16th Yira Collins Sor scored Genk's only goal against in their 1-0 win against Chaleroi Check out our Youtube Channel where you can also watch the episode: https://bit.ly/NigeriaFootballWeekly Linktree - https://linktr.ee/nigeriafootballweekly Twitter - https://twitter.com/NFWPod Host: @GoonerTwin Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/nigeriafootballweekly/ TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@nigeriafootballweekly Facebook page Link - https://www.facebook.com/NigeriaFootballWeekly Email - nigeriafootballweekly@gmail.com Anchor Link: https://anchor.fm/nigeriafootballweekly Podfollow: https://podfollow.com/nigeria-football-weekly --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/nigeriafootballweekly/message
Three Foxes share differing opinions on Leicester City's defeat against Coventry. We run the rule over Fatawu's red card, and our own penalty. We ask whether FFP has killed off the transfer market and wonder if Luke Thomas for Danny Ward is a fair swap. Finally a look ahead to a very quick reverse fixture against Ipswich on Monday

We're joined this week by the very funny comedian, podcaster and film maker Danny Ward for a chat about degrees, Jude Law and more!
Simon Davies is joined by BBC Radio Wales and Radio Cymru commentators Rob Phillips and Dylan Griffiths and speaks to all of Wales' goalkeepers, Wayne Hennessey, Danny Ward and Adam Davies.
Suj & James discuss all the games from Gameweek 16, the last ahead of the World Cup, and for many it was a disappointing FPL weekend with City players bar Phil Foden blanking during a shocking but deserved defeat to Brentford and Mo Salah was also not among the returns despite Liverpool scoring three in victory against Southampton. All the games reviewed including Newcastle's slight tweaks that enabled victory against Chelsea, how Tottenham turned it around despite falling behind three times against Leeds and West Ham struggled against but Leicester's defensive record is now no longer a joke and Danny Ward will surely now be popular on unlimited transfers. Plus, fixture runs to take note of after the World Cup and players under consideration on unlimited and thoughts on all these enabling midfielders who keep posting returns that defy their cheap pricing... Rich explains the fortnight absence before delving into all the goalkeeping action from the weekend, plus a few snippets we missed last time out. There's a nod to three goalkeeping substitutions in the Premier League (plus another in the Scottish Championship), matchwinning performances from Illan Meslier and David de Gea (although the latter still not deemed decent enough for a provisional 55-man Spain squad) and a return to form and action for Danny Ward and Mark Travers respectively. The klaxon is sounded thanks to Nik Tzanev's pinpoint distribution as AFC Wimbledon beat Harrogate - and there's even a goalkeeper goal to celebrate courtesy of Alex Bass' last-gasp equaliser for Sunderland U21 at Newcastle. --- Thank you, as always, for your support. Please feel free to drop us a line with absolutely any goalkeeping queries and questions. hello@goalkeepersunion 07503673020 (WhatsApp) @GKUnion (Twitter) @gkupodcast (Instagram) Oh, and if you like what we do, we'd be hugely appreciative if you scribbled it on a review over at iTunes. Cheers!
Apologies for our lack of diligence lately. Sometimes life, uh, gets in the way. But Derek and Charlie are back to talk fantasy premier league! We discuss possibly not captaining Haaland, accidental free hits, the enigma that is Danny Ward and more.

Matt and Evan run through the shortened matchweek. They cover Arsenal's win against Brentford, Tottenham's destruction of an imploding LC team, and City's masterclass against a Wolves side who just aren't up to snuff. Anyways, enjoy the show and don't forget to rate and review on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Soundcloud! It helps a lot and it's very important in getting our brand out there! Hello, Hi and Welcome back to Armchair Gaffers Podcast. This week we cover all the weekend's fixtures as well as Todd Boehly's plans for a PL All-Start Game and Gareth Southgate's England squad selection. There were routine wins for Assna, City and a thumping win for Sours vs Leicester - but some are saying that that was more due to goalkeeper Danny Ward's incompetence as opposed to Tottenham's brilliance. And Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard both managed to win Premier League Games! Tune in for a full rundown of our takes n all of the weekend's action. And remember, we're not the Armchair Gaffers - YOU ARE!
