Two geeks, one is the tech guy, the other is the comic book guy. Both love movies in general, but mostly discussing the Marvel movies and the intricacies of the comic books that made the movies. We also love making fun of each other, and generally being dorks. Most of all, we love relating these mov…
It's finally here!!! The Endgame!! Alex and I have been waiting to divulge all of the intricacies that we noticed in this movie, the stories from that night, the predictions we got right (and wrong), and everything else that goes into a movie culmination such as this one! We talk about redemption within this movie, and what a great movie to relate to our lives in Christ, good triumphing over evil! Buckle up folks and stay geeky!!!
We are one episode away from Endgame!! But before that, we need to delve into the quantum realm, and dissect both movies! We talk about second chances, how Scott Lang was given many of them, and how we to have second chances. Alex also doesn't know how to pronounce the word "burglar", so enjoy that couples minutes. Stay geeky folks!
IT IS HERE!!! We made it to Avengers Infinity War! We go over all of the theory's that we have for Endgame, both from Infinity War and other videos we have seen, so we took the liberty of using the Time Stone to extend this episode. We discuss our much loss the Avengers crew went through after Infinity War, and what that means for our lives as well when we experience loss. Stay geeky! Also, Endgame comes out tonight!!! New Star Wars Trailer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6pbI9niN4k
Just days before the Endgame premiere, Ze' Black Panther is up next! We venture into Wakanda and talk about accepting our own, and what it means to love your enemies. We delve into some great comic book orgin story of the Black Panther, and how M'Baku barks at a Lord of the Rings character. Stay geeky!!
No, this is not a robotic Thor, but the prophecy of the fall of Asgard! Alex tries to impersonate Korg, most likely his favorite supporting character in the MCU. We discuss the community of Asgard in relation to a church community, and how it is much more than a building. Thank your tech guys this Sunday!! Stay geeky! Moving right along in Phase 3/Season 3 with Doctor Strange! This is one of, if not the, favorite Marvel movie of Josh. Again, we find Alex and Josh disagreeing on the power of the time stone, since Doctor Strange is the wielder of the “Eye of Agamotto”. We go over the aspect of control, and while it may be frightening to give up control, that is What God asks of us. Join us as we venture into the world of Doctor Strange. Stay geeky!

The battle of all battles, Civil War brings the Avengers together in a way none of them would have ever thought. This is all leading up to Infinity War, the next time the Avengers will be all back together and playing nicely. We go over who will beat who really in a 1v1 fight, spoiler's for Endgame, and go over why we need accountability, even more than the Avengers. Stay geeky!
The latest movie from Phase 3 of the MCU! If you haven't seen it yet, this is your spoiler alert, and Alex thinks you're not really a fan if you haven't seen it (Josh doesn't). We talk about the issue of identity this week, and how Captain Marvel is trying to find out who she is, while many of us are trying to figure out who we are. The best part is, we can look to Christ for our identity, as we are image bearers of Him! Stay geeky!! Avengers: Endgame Trailer https://youtu.be/TcMBFSGVi1c
Back for the next installment of the Geeks and the Gospel, and the second Avengers is upon us! Looking forward to getting into some weird comic book stuff, how Alex doesn't breathe during his 60 second synopsis, and how to tackle fear from a biblical perspective. We all fear something, but above all else, to fear God is the beginning of all wisdom. Stay geeky!!!
Double movie podcast!! Since these two movies flow right in line within the MCU, we decided to knock them out in one week! Going over different kinds of love within both of these movies, and how deep those feelings can run. Also, these two movies have killer soundtracks, so we give our top 3! Stay geeky!!!
One of Alex's favorite movies, or at least in his top 3 of all time. While Alex and Josh haven't had a rumble to the proportion of Captain America and the Winter Soldier, still get to witness some great fight scenes in this one. Both Cap and Bucky (spoiler!) are fighting for something that they don't know is truth, much like we need to fight for truth in our own lives. We dive into what is truth, and where we need to find it. Stay geeky!
Bringing some Red Ether at you this week, along with birds flying sideways, and Alex digging himself in a hole again with a musical comparison. We discuss how motherly the late Queen of Asgard is, and how the last conversation between her and Loki might have altered Loki's future trajectory-in regards to the Avengers-and some of his comic book history. Stay geeky!!
Back for season 2! Kicking off the second phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), we are looking at Iron Man 3, with a younger, unlikely unsung hero, Alex getting mad at the portrayal of the Mandarin character, and Josh delving into how our sins, though forgiven, can cause earthly consequences. Stay geeky! Marvel One-Shot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mceyJxMuYFE&t=744s
Last episode in our first season/first phase of the MCU! Avengers takes down New York, Hulk takes down Loki with a few smashes, and Loki imitates a noise that seems oddly familiar to Alex...either way, seeing how a good group of friends can help push you in your walk with the Lord, come along side of you and walk with you through life. Enjoy and stay geeky! Spider-Man Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FU0i0eg6qak
It's always good to have friends...even when they beat you up with your own suit. "Tin Man" crashing through as we do a double episode Friday! We dissect the relationship between Roadie and Tony, and how Tony's father sent something to save his life, much like our heavenly Father sent us something to save our lives.
One of Alex's favorite super hero's, Captain America! "Old Man" is one of the main characters within the MCU, and we delve into how good of a man he is, and why Dr. Erskine chose him for the Super Soldier Serum. Even though Captain America has a good heart, just being "good" won't get you into heaven. Join us as we discuss that, some comic book history, and a tasty Marvel News that will pique your interest for Avengers Endgame!
First episode of 2019! Let's see if Alex can finally get his 60 Second Synopsis in under 60 seconds! We are talking about a big, green, monstrosity of a hero, the Hulk! Hulk gets angry...a lot. Us as humans get angry...a lot. The difference is we don't turn into a big green monster, but our anger still cascades over a lot of things in our life, and everyone can be affected by it.
Merry Christmas!! Our second episode, moving onto Thor! The story of The Mighty Thor shares very close similarities to the gospel story of Jesus Christ. We also share Christmas traditions (Alex probably needs a new one) and some of our favorite holiday media that we share for our Watching, Reading, Listening to this week. Stay geeky! Show Notes: Link to Avengers Endgame trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVSpac8wx3I
Our very first episode! In this pilot, we define some of the subjects and topics that we will be diving into throughout the duration. But obviously we have to start with the first movie in the first phase of the MCU...Iron Man.
