Title: Expressing Gratitude and Living a Thankful Life Introduction: Life can be difficult with curve balls like illness, death, accidents, disappointments, and uncertainties weighing on our hearts and minds. It's easy to get caught up in anxious and depressive thoughts, but it's important to shift our focus to God and express gratitude for all that He has done for us. In this episode, we explore Psalm 96 and discuss ways to live a thankful life. Scripture Reference: Psalm 96:1-4 Philippians 2:10-11 Romans 8:28 Psalm 96:7-9 Psalm 96:1-4: The Israelites are called to express their gratitude for God by singing a new song, blessing His name, telling of His salvation daily, declaring His glory, praising Him, and fearing Him above all gods. This gratitude should be shared with all peoples as a witness of the one true God. Philippians 2:10-11: At the name of Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. We can utilize the expectancy of the Messiah's second coming to express gratitude and live a thankful life. Romans 8:28: God works for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose. Trust that God is working in all things for our good. Psalm 96:7-9: The Gentiles are called to join in worship with the Israelites. They are to ascribe glory and strength to the Lord and bring offerings into His courts. They are to worship the Lord and tremble before Him. Conclusion: Keep a heart of gratitude in all things. Trust God's Word and remember that sadness and feelings of defeat may come, but don't miss the opportunity to worship and praise God. My prayers are with you, and I hope your gratitude always outweighs your anxious and depressive thoughts.
