The Heroin and Opiate Crisis is nothing new, its not going to go away. The ignorance some people carry around regarding this topic is mind blowing, its as if, they have been living under a rock for the past decade. In 2016 overdose deaths exceeded 60,000. This has surpassed all gun related homicides in our country on an annual basis. This is the continuation of Skylar's journey, into the pit, climbing out of it, and beyond....Listen without judgement.

The Journey of Sobriety is different for everyone. I have been sober for over 13 years, it wasn't always easy...in fact, it still isn't. I still have urges this far removed from being drunk, to drink, have a shot...get "numb" but I choose not to, as I stopped drinking for 1) Myself. 2) My Queen 3) My Kids. Details matter in all aspects of my sobriety, I didn't have a group to lean on aside from AA when I was first getting clean...I lost all my friends, as they all drank...I was alone...Skylar's journey is different, she is NOT Alone, we are standing by her side. we are watching her, as she saves her self. its always fun to connect with your kids. Its especially fun to do so when you're in a situation, where you are just hanging out waiting for a job to be done, as was the case today. We were waiting for Jake's car to be ready, so we spent 2 hours talking, telling jokes etc. So I asked him if he wanted to do a pod cast, and he said sure...we ended up talking about his recent trip to our Nations Capital.

Sky decided she wants to share her struggles with her drug abuse over the years, we both decided this was a way to do so, via podcast. A weekly conversation will occur, where she spends 2-5 minutes discussing her journey into the pit and how she has clawed her way out time and time again. Mike is a 2 and a half year recovering Heroin Addict, his story is enlightening, from his 12 year old daughter catching him (found evidence of Heroin use) to his other daughter turning into a Meth and Heroin Addict. Mike began his journey down the rabbit hole in his late 30's, which should be a wake up call that this epidemic knows no boundaries, from Age, Race, Religion and so on. the home buying process is never the same, it changes with each buyer and seller. Every single transaction has its ups and downs. I have been selling homes for nearly 20 years and have seen this issue about a dozen times.

In Arizona, we have what is called the "Due Diligence" period, which lasts ten calendar days and affords the home buyer ample time to conduct home inspections, including structural, roof, termite, swimming pool (if applicable) as well as learn about the surrounding area's and any items that may be of concern. During this ten day period, they are 100% protected and should they opt not to move forward with the purchase, as long as its in the 10 day window, they can cancel, retrieve their Earnest Deposit and find another home

The Opiod Crisis is real in America, its real in Arizona. My family has been directly affected by this crisis. My 21 year old has been in and out of rehab since the age of 17. The use began around age 15 as far as we can tell. She has a loving family, we are the kind of family that had family dinners several nights a week, my Queen and I have been together for nearly 23 years, married for 22. We love both our kids, would do anything for them. Today my daughter left rehab, against everyone's advice....lied where she was going (have done some recon work since discovering this) so we are forced to sit back and patiently wait for her to realize she needs to go back to rehab or wait for that "phone call" Heroin abuse is real and it is killing off a generation. More people overdosed of Drug Use in 2015, than the amount of people that DIED at the HEIGHT of the AIDS Epidemic. Speak the truth. Share the story. Be Real. Be RAW. This is NOT Taboo.
