Dr. Michaela Renee Johnson Author | Pilot | Pattern-Breaker Michaela was forged in fire—raised in a 27-foot fifth wheel with no running water in Desolation Wilderness, and no shortage of grit. Today, she's a licensed psychotherapist, best-selling author (Teetering on Disaster, Empowered a Motivational Journal for Women, Growth Mindset for Adults), and creator of 7 Primal Wounds™ and the Revelation Report™ After working with hundreds of clients, Michaela noticed a pattern: Hidden emotional wounds formed in childhood were silently running the show—fueling relationship sabotage, fear-based decisions, and low self-worth, even if you had "great" parents. She built tools to expose and rewire these patterns—grounded in neuroscience but proven in real life. But Michaela doesn't just talk transformation—she lives it. A "taildragger girl" with instrument, commercial, seaplane, and multi-engine ratings, she won First Place in the 2023 Palms to Pines Air Race flying the slowest plane in the lineup, her beloved 1947 Piper SuperCruiser, Poptart. “Clarity comes from gaining a perspective above the turbulence, but confidence comes from navigating the crappy weather.” In 2025, she's spreading her wings in the first ever Aerial Book Tour—flying across the U.S. to share the message that you can rewrite your emotional autopilot and reclaim your power. Michaela's mission is to help people stop spiraling, start choosing intentionally, and finally feel free. Your past may explain you—but it doesn't have to define you.

On this episode of the Three-Inning Save podcast, the Dodgers salvaged a victory Sunday over the Padres to escape from San Diego in a first-place tie atop the National League West. Two solo home runs by rookie Alex Freeland provided the only scoring for the Dodgers in losses on Friday and Saturday, and it was more of the same on Sunday for most of the game. But Freddie Freeman homered twice, Dalton Rushing hit a go-ahead three-run home run, and Shohei Ohtani homered as well. Plus more on the returns of Tanner Scott and Kirby Yates from the injured list, and pending returns of Kiké Hernández, Michael Kopech, and Hyeseong Kim, and the roster maneuvering expected over the next few days. The Three-Inning Save is part of the Fans First Sports Network. Hosted by Eric Stephen and Jacob Burch, with questions from Craig Minami. Produced by Brian Salvatore. **Arteetude 295 – Pass the Hat Tour Reflections with WAW**In this sun-drenched beachside episode, Detlef Schlich and Dirk Schlömer unpack the sweat, laughter, and sheer willpower behind the *WAW Pass the Hat Tour 2025*. For Dirk, **WAW** is the *Wild Atlantic Way* — the rugged coastline that stole his heart. For Detlef, **WAW** is more: a philosophy of motion, a creative current that carries songs, stories, and performance rituals across landscapes and generations. From epic bus changes to sleeping on rocks, from storm-threatened gigs to spontaneous midnight jam sessions, this tour proved that music still has the power to connect strangers and inspire resilience at any age. Plus, hear the live energy of WAW's original songs — the reason they hit the road in the first place.Detlef Schlich is a rock musician, podcaster, visual artist, filmmaker, ritual designer, and media archaeologist based in West Cork. He is recognised for his seminal work, including a scholarly examination of the intersections between shamanism, art, and digital culture, and his acclaimed video installation, Transodin's Tragedy. He primarily works in performance, photography, painting, sound, installations, and film. In his work, he reflects on the human condition and uses the digital shaman's methodology as an alter ego to create artwork. His media archaeology is a conceptual and practical exercise in uncovering the unique aesthetic, cultural, and political aspects of media in culture.WEBSITE LINKS WAW BandcampSilent NightIn a world shadowed by conflict and unrest, we, Dirk Schlömer & Detlef Schlich, felt compelled to reinterpret 'Silent Night' to reflect the complexities and contradictions of modern life.https://studiomuskau.bandcamp.com/track/silent-nightWild Atlantic WayThis results from a trip to West Cork, Ireland, where the beautiful Coastal "Wild Atlantic Way" reaches along the whole west coast!https://studiomuskau.bandcamp.com/track/wild-atlantic-wayYOU TUBE*Silent Night Reimagined* A Multilayered Avant-Garde Journey by WAW aka Dirk Schlömer & Detlef Schlichhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAbytLSfgCwDetlef SchlichInstagramDetlef Schlich ArTEEtude I love West Cork Artists FacebookDetlef Schlich I love West Cork Artists Group ArTEEtudeYouTube Channelsvisual PodcastArTEEtudeCute Alien TV official WebsiteArTEEtude Detlef Schlich Det Design Tribal Loop Download here for free Detlef Schlich´s Essay about the Cause and Effect of Shamanism, Art and Digital Culturehttps://www.researchgate.net/publication/303749640_Shamanism_Art_and_Digital_Culture_Cause_and_EffectSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/arteetude-a-podcast-with-artists-by-detlef-schlich/donations
The Dodgers have fallen out of first place for the first time in months, and it's time to break it all down. In this episode of the Bleed Los Podcast, we react to the team's struggles since July, the ongoing bullpen problems, and how the Dodgers can get back on track. With back-to-back weekend series against the Padres — the team they're now chasing — the Dodgers have little margin for error. Can they turn things around? Can the bullpen find consistency? And how critical is this stretch for their postseason hopes? We cover all of that and more, plus your fan reactions and our takes on how the Dodgers can right the ship before it's too late. ⚾ Brought to you by DodgersBeat.com — your home for the most comprehensive Dodgers coverage, breaking news, exclusive interviews, contests, merch, and more.
We are BACK after a quick summer holiday break (who knows, there may be more!) and we are feeling honored to be joined by Matt F. who brings the ruckus from North Wilmington this week. FIRST UP! The Phillies, who lost a game in a highly annoying fashion while we were recording this, are STILL in First Place in the NL East. Can they hang on to it? We check in on the starting rotation and the overall squad, who really look like they need a break. Home can't come soon enough. We also dive into the post-Duran world we live in - it's great to get some juice for a playoff run. And then we ask the $150 million dollar PLUS question - do we retain Kyle or WHUT?NEXT! Your world champion Eagles are getting ready for preseason game #2 against the Browns. We love getting the scoop from camp, but let's be honest, it's all about September 4th against JERRY'S BOYZ at the Linc. The Fan crew discusses the MVP of the Padres' recent play, how Padres' fans should feel about the team's chances and the upcoming series against the Dodgers.
The Padres haven't been in first place this late in the season in 15 years! They pummeled Bob Melvin's old club to reach the top spot in the NL West. Now first place will truly be on the line this weekend at Dodger Stadium. Mike Shildt's club has that second half look again. Pitching has been lights out and everyone in the lineup is doing damage. Derek and Darnay size up the division rivals, and how different they look heading into this series compared to what we saw earlier in the year. Is Dave Roberts gonna try to stir something up again? What Padres do we expect to stand out? Can Derek guess the 2010 lineup from the last time San Diego was alone in first at this point? And Thursday brought bad news for one scheduled starter.

On deck: (6:20) What is going on with the defending champion Dodgers? Not only do they get swept by their rivals down the freeway (the Angels) but their division foes further down the interstate (the Padres) are now in first place. I'll dissect if LA is just bored of the regular season or if there are concerns in Dodgerland? I'll share my thoughts on the latest pennant races, Pete Alonso's historic home run and more. (28:45) The NFL preseason moves along with not much going on. Some injured QB news, a signing in Buffalo and whatever else is of importance. (33:36) New owners in the NBA are the main topic here as the Celtics sale is official, while the Blazers look to stay in Portland thanks to a buyer who's looking to keep the team there. (38:36) The Atlanta Dream have taken over second place overall in the WNBA as the New York Liberty have another couple of dates with the Minnesota Lynx with a home and home series starting Saturday in the Twin Cities. (41:20) UFC 319 is Saturday night as middleweights Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev will fight for the title. And MUCH MORE in between. The Mariners are tied for first place and Brock and Salk talk through how they got here. They then bring on Mariners Insider Shannon Drayer to hear further about the Mariners road trip, the win over Baltimore, Josh Naylor and more. In Blue 88, topics include the most intriguing Seahawk from players 50 to 90 on the roster, the Seahawks learning the new playbook and what Matthew Stafford has in common with a couple of Seahawks.
If you heard a collective scream of joy in San Diego last night, it was because not only did the Padres win but also the Dodgers lost. That means our boys are officially TIED for first place! Why is this so important at this moment? John explained this morning.

Follow along as Kevin Clancy (aka KFC Barstool) and Clem (aka The Clem Report) battle through another season with The New York Mets. Will the Mets finally make history with Uncle Stevie (Steve Cohen) at the helm of the franchise? Or did the Wilpons curse the team and ruin all hope of ever winning a World Series? We can't think that way. Uncle Stevie is the bright light in the middle of the dark. We're going to be an amazing (or at the very least respectable) team this team. We Gotta Believe. It's Season 8, Episode 15 and the second half is rolling—Farace, Keith, and Producer Joe (holding it down behind the wall) are on board, while Rodriguez has called in “out sick” (or maybe just hiding from trade rumors and Statcast charts). The Mets have stormed back into first place with four straight wins and a sweep of the Angels, and now all eyes are on the looming trade deadline. Who's on the wish list? Names like Dylan Cease, Mitch Keller, and a few spicy bullpen arms are swirling, and the front office is lurking around every available center fielder who can actually catch a fly ball.Meanwhile, the youth movement is in full effect. The Baby Mets are all getting their reps—maybe to boost their trade value, or maybe just to keep the fans from rioting. Francisco Alvarez's return has been electric: he's not just homering, he's doing everything right behind the plate and at bat, giving the lineup some real life just when it needed it most. The staff is finally getting healthy, with Blackburn and Megill on the way back, so naturally the guys will debate if this is the group to trust, or if it's time for a deadline shake-up. And with road trips to San Francisco and San Diego next, the test doesn't get any easier.Expect Farace to demand a blockbuster, Keith to play armchair GM (with way too much conviction), and Producer Joe to explain why a decent bullpen might be the difference between October baseball and October misery.First place, trade buzz, and a Baby Mets glow-up? Let's put it in the books before Steve Cohen buys another entire roster.
Guests: Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman, former Jays slugger Edwin Encarnacion, New York Yankees broadcaster Michael Kay The Blue Jays came out of the all-star break and picked up right where they left off, sweeping the San Francisco Giants then taking two of three from the Yankees as part of a 5-1 homestand. This week in Deep Left Field, we sit down with Kevin Gausman, who threw seven brilliant innings in Monday night's win over the Yankees, to discuss the first-place Jays, who moved into a tie with the Houston Astros for the best record in the American League with their win on Wednesday. That Wednesday win was the seventh straight sellout at Rogers Centre, and Jays fans are becoming a big part of the story. Edwin Encarnacion remembers what it was like at the dome when the Jays were rolling in 2015 and 2016, and he joins us to compare those teams and those atmospheres to this one. Also, Yankees television broadcaster Michael Kay created a firestorm with his comments about the Jays not being a first-place team and not even playing that well on his radio show a few weeks ago. We gave him a chance to clarify, apologize or double down - join us to see which route he chose.

They said her son would never live on his own...now he thrives in the community she built. On this episode of Celebrate Your Story, I sit down with Denise Resnik, trailblazing founder of the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center and First Place AZ. From her son's autism diagnosis at age two to reshaping real estate with purpose, Denise's story is one of innovation, advocacy, and unshakable love. She shares how she went from launching a real estate marketing firm to transforming blighted buildings into vibrant mixed-use housing communities that integrate people with autism, seniors, and the broader public. We discuss the heartbreak of being told to institutionalize her son, the grit it took to build new systems from scratch, and the vision behind a new marketplace for housing and community that includes everyone. Now leading a national movement through First Place's Global Leadership Institute and the Vote the Spectrum initiative, Denise is proving that when we plan for inclusion, we build something better for all of us.

Carol Leifer entered comedy when a woman stand-up was considered a novelty or a niche, but even then she knew "things would eventually change." And change has come, due in no small part to Carol's own stelar show biz contributions. Carol joins us this week to talk about her formative years, her early standup, giving voice to iconic characters like Elaine Benes and Deborah Vance, and her new book, How to Write a Funny Speech!Carol's relationship with her father, an optometrist with an ear for comedy and a quick wit that delighted both patients and family, laid the foundation for her career trajectory. Her supportive parents encouraged her to pursue stand-up when the opportunity struck, and very soon, she was right at home at The Improv and on The Tonight Show.Even within the male-dominated comedy space, Carol found herself buoyed by peers and colleagues, in the clubs and on the sets of seminal sitcoms such as Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show and Curb Your Enthusiasm.Carol's Seinfeld contributions tapped into women's lived experiences and brought us the skinny mirror, the marble rye and the nail salon, but she reveals which of Elaine's iconic storylines was not her brainchild - 'sponge-worthy' was actually coined by male writer, Peter Mehlman!Enjoy an exciting spin on your favorite podcast showbiz trivia game as we invite Carol to play IMDB Roulette: Writer's Edition, where she dives into the intricacies of writing for: Seinfeld, Curb, Hacks, SNL and Ellen, plus traveling the globe with Henry Winkler, George Foreman, Terry Bradshaw and William Shatner! (She now calls him Bill.)Carol also shares her SNL writing regrets. (If she could only have gotten in better with Lorne.) We talk about her latest runaway hit book How To Write a Funny Speech and close the show with Fritz's favorite new Carol Leifer joke!In recommendations -- Weezy: The HBO original, My Mom Jayne: A Film By Mariska HargitayFritz: Netflix documentary, Trainwreck: The Cult Of American ApparelCarol LeiferHow To Write A Funny Speech: for a Wedding, Bar Mitzvah, Graduation & Every Other Event You Didn't Want to Go to in the First Place by Carol Leifer and Rick MitchellCarol Leifer on WikiCarol Leifer on InstagramCarol Leifer on FacebookCarol Leifer Amazon Author PageMy Mom Jayne from Mariska HargitayTrainwreck: The Cult Of American ApparelMedia Path PodcastMedia Path on Buy Me a Coffee

There's so much more to Korean drinking culture than just soju and Haera Shin wants to tell everyone all about it.
