Welcome to episode 11! On this episode I'll be recapping the latest UFC Fight Night card headlined by Cory Sandhagen and Marlon Moraes. However, the big story was not Sandhagen's victory over Moraes, but Joaquin Buckley's incredible KO over Kasanganay, who I repeatedly called “Kayongsong”. What an embarrassing blunder. My bad (shoutout to Mike Goldberg). Also on the card, Edson Barboza picked up a victory over Makwan Amirkhani in routine fashion, but I discuss how deceiving his recent UFC record has been. Furthermore, Tom Aspinall continues his ascent up the UFC heavyweight hierarchy with a win against Alan Baudot. Finally, I discuss the first MMA show in history to occur in France! (it's more of a Bellator rant though, sadly). This week we saw Alistair Overeem continue his tilt towards a title shot in what will probably be his final run in the UFC, defeating Augusto Sakai in true demolition man fashion. Also on this card we saw Michel Pereira finally put it together and put on a performance which showed the best of both worlds - the style and the substance.
