So often, we wait to give something to God because we think that what we have is not enough. But He asks us, like He did Moses, what is in your hand? It is what we have that He longs to take and use for His glory, not what we want to have. So take a look and see what you have and see what He will do with it. Hosted on Acast. I don't know if you ever find yourself angry at God, but I do. But it is not something we should try to hide; it is something that we need to go to God about because He wants to hear about it so that He can respond to you and what you are feeling. Let's not let our anger keep us from God, but rather let's learn from it and, in the process, become more like Jesus. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
I am so pleased to have Charlie Hernández here with us today. With remarkable honesty and transparency, he shares how God has used his children to make him more like Christ. Charlie Hernandez has been in ministry for over 35 years as a pastor, worship leader, composer, arranger, singer and speaker. He collaborated with many other music ministries since the early 90's developing Praise and Worship conferences in Latin America with the likes of Marcos Witt, Danilo Montero, Juan Carlos Alvarado, 33DC, Claudina Brimm, to mention a few. He has been a husband to his wife Nany for 36 years. They have four children, three of them with Autism and a granddaughter of four. At the beginning of 2000, he and his family experienced an impactful restoration process followed by the book titled “Dare to be Transparent,” where he shares his testimony of recovery from abuse. For the past ten years, he has been an associate pastor at Faith Assembly of God church in Orlando, Florida. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Have you ever wondered if it is worth it, all the struggles, frustration, doubts, and pain? I think that many of us have at least thought that, even if we didn't act on it. I hope that this little chat will help you gain perspective on that and give you a new outlook about all that you are going through at this time. May the Lord impress upon your heart that it is worth it because He is worthy. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
So often, we hear the question, "what's wrong with this?" and we start to wonder and doubt if there is anything wrong with anything. We have believed the lie of satan that it is just a little thing and nothing to worry about, and so we find ourselves in a place we never expected to be. We forget that those little decisions are things that put our lives off track, no matter how small they seem. Remember that a train track that is one millimetre or 1/100th of an inch off of parallel, sooner or later, will derail the train unless the error is corrected. So often in life, we wonder how we got where we are, it was not our intention to get to this point in our lives, but here we are. I think that most of us can trace where we are now with a decision to do something or believe something that seemed so minor and insignificant, which led us to where we are today. The good thing is that just like God provided for Adam and Eve, he has provided for us. Perhaps today is the day we will choose to start to hear and obey God instead of listening to that little lie of satan - What's wrong with this? Hosted on Acast. We so often get caught up in wanting to learn more, thinking that if I know more, then perhaps things will be easier or better. We forget that life changes when we put into practice what we already know. Deuteronomy 29:29 (I am sorry I think that I said 28:28 in the message) reminds us that we are not responsible for what we don't know, but we are responsible for what we do know. Are we living according to what we know, or do we continue to seek other things, like knowledge, instead of God? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
I don't know about you, but I have always wondered why? Why can't I do this? Why do I have to do that? Today we will learn why God has given us boundaries. I hope that in understanding His purpose in all of this, our "why's?" will turn into thanksgiving and praise for His great care for us.The Unshakable Truth - Josh McDowell and Sean McDowellhttps://www.amazon.com/Unshakable-Truth%C2%AE-Study-Guide-Experience-ebook/dp/B004HW7JTM/ref=sr_1_2?crid=DAJMTCBQYCM6&dchild=1&keywords=the+unshakable+truth&qid=1631021419&sprefix=the+unsha%2Caps%2C267&sr=8-2 Hosted on Acast. Today I have the privilege of talking with my good friend, Beth Wright. She is an Argentine MK and is presently serving in Argentina with her husband, Paul. Since 2004, she has been a part of Corazones Abiertos International (Open Hearts Ministries International). This is a ministry of small groups that walks alongside men and women who have suffered emotional wounds, trauma or abuse in their childhood and are living, in the present, the effects of those events. Today she will be sharing about how God very gently changed her relationship with Him from one of obligation to one of joy and diversity. I hope her story will be used by God to encourage you and set you free to have a more intimate and exciting relationship with Him. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

We are constantly reading and hearing about "being like Jesus," but do we really understand what that means. Today's audio includes a few of my thoughts on the topic. I pray that we will grow to be more like Him every day. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

We are all so pleased when we do something right, and most of us are pleased if 95% of what we do is right. We are not perfect, but I wonder if we are experiencing satisfaction and contentment when we shouldn't be? Just a question that I think we all need to ponder. Hosted on Acast. "Cachi Bachi" is a Bolivia slang word for that stuff in your junk drawer or things that are being sold at a yard sale. Most of us have a drawer or a place in our homes for that "stuff" that we don't have the energy to deal with right now. Sadly, many of us treat our lives the same way. We don't know what to do with the anger or resentment, and so we shove it into an out of the way place and carry on, hoping that it will go away, it doesn't. Part of becoming like Christ is the process of handing over to Him our "cachi bachi" so that His image can be formed in us. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
We have been taught that we can do anything, and to a certain extent, we can. But some things require a dependence on God instead of the proverbial independence that we are encouraged to have. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

CONFRONTING YOUR PAIN - FINDING HIS JOYI had never thought about what knowing myself really involves on an internal level until I was confronted with the mess that my life had become. So I asked myself the question – what does it really mean to confront our pain in a way that leads to healing for our wounded souls? In a way the leads us to know ourselves better and to know God more intimately and personally? What does it take to find joy in the middle of this mess called life? This is what I learned about finding joy, I know that it is not an extensive list but it is what I believe is important for us to know: It requires gut-level honesty. It means to stop making excuses or justifying the actions of others or myself. It means acknowledging that I have hurt myself more than anyone else has hurt me. It means to take the responsibility for our own lives while at the same time admitting that we can't do it. It means trusting God to do what I can not.So take a new grip of your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong. Hebrew 12:12,13 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Which of us doesn't need an attitude check every once in a while? Thankfully we have a God who is not only concerned that become like Christ, but He has chosen to work that work in us, and He does it with great patience. He is concerned for our souls, and for that, we should be grateful. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Tidbits are musing on what I am learning. For example, today, I asked myself if I really knew how to praise my Lord. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
I ask myself the question, and you, what does it mean to be like Jesus? How will I know when I am like Jesus? How will you know when I am like Jesus? We talk about being like Jesus, but I would hazard a guess that most of us have not understood that the purpose of Christ's redeeming love was to make us more human, not divine. We believe that to be like Jesus is to be more “spiritual,” but in trying to arrive at this supposed state of spirituality, we lose the very thing that makes us most like Jesus, our humanity. Jesus shows us, in His humanity, who we were created to be. We can never become God, but we can be like Jesus, the man, and glorify God. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Even though pain is a reality for the majority of people, we seem to have a natural commitment to camouflage to others and to ourselves what is really going on inside of us. Can you imagine what our lives would be like if we put all the energy we expend in trying to protect ourselves into knowing God? It would change our lives, and it would change the world that we live in. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Christ doesn't offer us a magic potion to alleviate our pain or hurts. What He does offer us is Himself. All He asks of us is our loneliness, our emptiness and our sin, nothing more and nothing less. He asks us to give up our idea of who we are and trust Him with our hearts. He wants us to have a heart that can relax in His peace and be satisfied there. Hosted on Acast. We must do more than say “I was hurt” or “I was abused” if we are really going to see change in our lives and in our relationships. We need to stop covering our wounds with Band-Aids believing that if no one can see it then they will go away. We must have the courage to look at the wound and to see how the infection of our soul wound is robbing us of all that we long for. Until we are willing to take the risk to look deep, there will be no healing. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Living is not a spectator sport. It is not our place to sit in the stands, protecting ourselves, and watching the action from a distance. Being born, existing, means being a participant in the game of life. It is getting dirty and getting out in life where the opposition is powerful and difficult at times. Winning at life only comes from a fierce determination to jump in with both feet and to give every ounce of energy towards the goal of living abundantly. Risks are to be evaluated not in terms of the probability of success but in terms of the value of the goal. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
