We are attempting to Adult from two very different perspectives. Join my co-host and I as we navigate the idea of adulting in the modern world and ask the question, "Are we Adulting yet?" We might even attempt to answer it.
Are you afraid to pull out your pre-covid jeans and put them on? Me to. Before the country opens back up after a year of shut downs let's take a moment to acknowledge that our bodies just survived a global pandemic. After that moment of gratitude I encourage you to look at this next year as a moment to slowly, compassionately, and intentionally release the weight that you gained. I am going to start by eating one amazing salad a day as a meal. I'm not going to weigh myself or focus on how much I use to weigh. That's toxic thinking. Instead I am going to focus on one small change that will make my body, mind and spirit thrive. My guest this week is a personal trainer with 24 years of experience, she is an author, motivational speaker and life coach. Join Pam Sherman and I as we talk about eating our Vegetables. You can find her on Instagram @Perfectbalanceguru NPR.ORG is where I found my BMI information
This week I am joined by my guest host Hailey Rowe. She is a marketing and sales strategist, business coach and co-founder of power player marketing services. You can connect with Hailey at haileyrowe.com, powerplayer.com or @hailey_rowe
Things are changing here at Let’s adult. After saying good by to our beloved co-host Genavieve we are being asked to pivot. How does an adult deal with change? Listen now to find out our thoughts on this. (This recording and edit is a bit rough. Thank you for your kindness and patience while I work out some kinks)
Have you ever felt like your plate is over flowing with commitments? Join us this week as we discus why this happens, how it happens and how we can make it stop. Let's also take a moment to say good by to my amazing co-host Genavieve as she embarks on the final chapter of her Masters Degree program. She is clearing her plate so she can make sure to finish strong in a program she has worked so hard in. I am so proud of her attachments and can't wait until she is able to once again join our Let's Adult family.

Do you remember the first time you moved out of your parents house? I was so excited I didn't have space to be scared. I was also so naive to what being on my own meant. I am so excited for my oldest child to walk on her own two feet. I just hope she can pull it off without too many setbacks. If things go to hell she can always come home.
Has this lock down, pandemic created a seemingly harmless habit of mindlessly looking at your phone all day? Yep, it happened over here to. I realized I had a problem when I caught myself taking my phone with me into the bathroom. Do you do that? Do we need help? Listen now to how Genavieve and I feel about cellphone use and whether or not we need to put our phones down.
Let's talk about the health benefits, the taboos and the shame around Masturbation. Join us as Genavieve and I try and connect the dots and stay on topic on this weeks Let's Adult.

Most of us at 17 drove a POS car full of trash, a cracked windshield, oil leak, and a funny noise you can ignore. It's almost a right of passage. But then we get a "real" job that gives us just enough credit and income to almost afford a new car. Or at least a new used car. Is it at this point when you started taking care of your car and understanding what needs to be done to maintain it? When did you start adulting when it came to being a responsible car owner?
I have decided to start a let's adult podcast book club and my first book choice is "Girl Logic" by Iliza Shlesinger. I am going to listen to it on Audible. Find your copy now and join us on February 25, 2021 for our first book club meeting. Enjoy!
2021 is finally here. Historically we would make resolutions to improve everything that makes us less then perfect. This year we challenge you to say NO to resolutions and instead to focus on what makes you happy. Instead of saying "I should loose weight" try saying "I want to learn how to speak french." If 2020 tough us anything it's that nothing is guaranteed. Let's Make 2021 our year of doing what we want, not what we should...
We recap this dumpster fire of a year and find the silver lining as we discuss what we have learned and how we have grown as adults.
Christmas is quickly approaching, and here in the real world presents are being shipped, wrapped and gently placed under the tree or in the mail, but in the North Pole (or so we’re told) Santa is making his list and checking it twice. In this episode we want to dive into what it means to be “naughty or nice” As young children we are shaped at an early age to “act nice” or else DUH DUH DUH…. no presents! But as adults, what is our “or else” refer to? … no presents? That’s obviously not true. I think as children we learn even the nastiest of little shits still get their video games and toys. Maybe for us adults, this fictional man in the red suit is the giver of guilt? Be nice or else… hide your face in shame!
Why do we have to feel bad to be good? What is it about a mythical creature magically watching your every mover determining whether you deserve to be rewarded, or you deserve to be punished and how does that manifest in us as adults? Could this be the reason we're still asking ourselves "Are we Adulting yet?"
When turkey day is over, how will you be spending your time? Black Friday is not just about the sales, so why do we trample each other for a good deal? We talk about the need for stuff, holiday traditions, and the stress that comes with it all. There are two sides to the buying experience. This year, let's adult by being nice to the person on the other side of the counter.
Since when are the holidays a test of will power instead of the opportunity to celebrate relationships? Even though we are surrounded by food during the holidays, you don't have to eat anything you don't want to eat. We discuss the unique aspects of food relationships and taking control, adulting style. Enjoy the holiday and feast on your terms.
Are you ready for family time this year? Spending time with your family can be great, but sometimes they bring more than just joy. This episode we discuss what it’s like to be an adult with your family, some healthy ways to interact this year and how to set healthy boundaries.
