Do Adopted Kids Struggle More? Part #1 #460 Parents often believe if you adopt a child from birth and provide a loving home, that will mitigate most issues. It doesn't usually work that way. There is no judgment here. Just the reality that trauma triggers different issues. That can manifest in kids with an insatiable craving for intensity, sensory pressure, connection, food, and things. Adoptive parents should not feel guilty or alone when their kids struggle. Please share this with support groups and other adoptive parents who need both encouragement and practical tools to help the kids they love so much. Our Black Friday in March Sale Ends This Weekend! Far from being merely a niche product for enthusiasts, spring tea plays a crucial role in driving the local agricultural sector. The production of spring tea constitutes a substantial portion of the annual tea output, setting the tone for the entire industry. But what exactly makes spring tea such a powerhouse, and why does this single season have such a profound impact? / Cheap shampoo bad for men's hair (18:02)?

I went from overthinking and *almost* overcomplicating my black friday sale to making $5k in sales from just a few IG story slides. I was debating running a flash sale on my bundles that I run once every couple of years and has brought me over $1000 in sales when I've run it once before (and made me $0 another time I ran it.) This bundle flash sale is ready to plug and play - with all the emails, the social graphics, posts carts and links all ready to schedule out -so it could have been a great option, but would have required a bit of organization to schedule it out, which I wasn't super excited about. So I paused, and got back in touch with my goals and intentions not only for the rest of the year, but also the following year.I reconnected to my BIG PICTURE goals. Which is to fill my high ticket offers.  Someone in my audience had recently asked me if I was going to be running a mastermind. I wanted to run another mastermind SO BADLY! So I took this as a sign. I decided to run an early enrollment special. With no sales page, I promoted my special mastermind offer for Black Friday on my Instagram stories. That client who had inquired immediately signed up. She argues that the approach towards Muslim identity in Bollywood films are influenced by the changing political landscape from Nehruvian India to the rise of BJP, which views Hindus and Muslims as separate religious communities instead of recognizing the syncretic culture manifesting in Hindu-Muslim unity. By analyzing the representation of Muslims in various films like Roja, Fanna, Mission Kashmir, Black Friday, New York, A Wednesday, Sarfarosh, she shows that the militant portrayal of Muslims is good for commercial success as opposed to a secular image. Overall, the study problematizes Muslim identity formation in Bollywood against the backdrop of nationalism and communalism in India. A dziś? Dziś to jest święto sprzedaży, igrzyska dla biznesu. Wrzucasz rabat, dodajesz pastelowy plakat i masz gotową kampanię reklamową. Żadnych pytań, żadnych niewygodnych tematów, zero polityki.O tym właśnie jest nowy odcinek podcastu feministycznego. Zapraszam!

Discounting—it feels like a surefire way to attract customers, right? Everyone loves a good bargain. But what happens when discounts stop being a tool and start becoming an expectation? In this episode, Colin Shaw and Professor Ryan Hamilton dive into the dangerous addiction of price discounting—how it lures in customers, why businesses struggle to stop, and the long-term damage it can do to your brand and bottom line. You'll hear painful stories of businesses that have trained their customers never to pay full price, the psychology behind why discounts are so irresistible, and why, if you're not careful, your company could end up hooked on discounting like a bad habit. This episode is packed with insights, humor, and practical advice you won't want to miss! Best Quote from the Episode: "We knew we had a problem when one of the executives said, ‘This is like heroin—we can't stop!'" Key Takeaways: ✅ Discounting Works—But Be Careful! Customers love a good deal, and discounts create instant excitement. But if you do it too often, you're not just offering savings—you're training customers to expect them. ✅ Reference Points Matter A “Was $7, Now $5” deal feels like a win, even if $5 was always a fair price. Discounts give customers an anchor price, making them feel like they're getting a bargain—even if they're not. ✅ Big Numbers Win People respond more to “SAVE 30%” than “SAVE $2.” The bigger the number, the better the deal seems. ✅ The Thrill of the Hunt Shoppers love feeling like they “won” at shopping.  ✅ The Danger of Training Customers If customers know you'll discount every two weeks, they'll never pay full price again. Some companies become trapped in perpetual discounting cycles, losing profit just to keep customers coming back. ✅ Compete on Value, Not Just Price Apple doesn't run 50% off iPhone sales every Black Friday. Their customers pay full price because they believe in the value. If your business relies on discounts, ask yourself: Would customers still buy from us if we didn't offer them? ✅ Are You a Discount Addict? If discounts are your main strategy, it's time to rethink. Are you making real money, or just moving stock? If the answer makes you nervous, it's time for a change. Why You Should Listen: This episode is a must-listen for business leaders, marketers, and CX professionals who want to break free from the discount trap and build a pricing strategy that doesn't just attract customers—but actually makes money. About the Hosts: Colin Shaw is a LinkedIn 'Top Voice' with a massive 284,000 followers and 86,000 subscribers to his 'Why Customers Buy' newsletter. We kick off with Valentine's Day, but instead of chocolates, we're dishing out fucking disdain. You're out here treating homemade cards like they're the new fucking currency in the land of love. Remember those Walmart machines? That's your fucking nostalgia trip, like reminiscing about the good old days of jerking off to Sears catalogs. Then we dive into the swamp of gold digging, where some big-titted blonde is after some old dude's cash like it's a fucking Black Friday sale on his shriveled-up balls. You're not just calling her out; you're fucking roasting her over the flames of your righteous indignation. "Gold digging slut" isn't just a label; it's a fucking scarlet letter branded on her soul. But the real shitshow starts when we jump into local politics, faster than you can say "corrupt fuckers." The Bay City Bridge Partners? Sounds like a fucking scam where they're trying to milk your wallet like a cow with udders the size of your fucking head. You're out here calling these politicians pieces of shit like it's your goddamn job, and the bridge? It's not a bridge; it's a fucking monument to bureaucratic bullshit. Your take on relationships? It's not just a rant; it's a fucking manifesto for living life like a wild, untamed beast. "I do what I want, who I want, when I want" sounds like you're the fucking king of debauchery, with more freedom than a fucking orgy in Vegas.  And the youth worship? Fuck me, you talk about that 23-year-old's body like it's a fucking masterpiece. "Once they have a kid, it's just never the same." You're out here preaching the gospel of eternal youth like it's the secret to eternal fucking happiness. Kids? You'd rather stick your dick in a blender than deal with that shit. Then we get to the soy milk conspiracy, because why the fuck not? "Soy milk turning everybody gay?" You're like a fucking mad scientist, debunking myths with the passion of a thousand dicks being waved in the air. Your advice? "Shove it up your ass." That's not just a suggestion; it's your fucking life philosophy. We wrap this shit up with "Dodge those arrows," because in your world, love, politics, and soy milk are all fucking landmines to avoid. This episode isn't just a podcast; it's a fucking declaration of war on everything that's "normal," a celebration of chaos, and a reminder that living life on your own terms is the only way to fucking live. Listen in. Go Deep.

In the first of a series of podcasts recorded before a live audience in China, John is joined by Professor Gao Xiqing, the former Vice Chairman, President and Chief Investment Officer of the China Investment Corporation, the largest Chinese Sovereign Wealth. They discuss Prof. Gao's extraordinary career from his early days building a railroad in rural China during the Cultural Revolution to earning his JD at Duke and becoming the one of the first Chinese lawyers to pass the New York bar and work at a major Wall Street firm.  Prof. Gao's work on Wall Street led to him explaining, as a third year associate,  the causes of the Black Friday stock market crash to Chinese business and government leaders. Later he was called back to China to design its first stock exchange and the Chinese regulator equivalent to the SEC.  They also discuss Prof. Gao's role in running the China Investment Corporation (CIC), one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds. CIC invests only in private businesses outside of China, purchases less than a 10% stake in those companies, and splits its investments roughly evenly between publicly traded companies and private equity.  Finally, they discuss Prof. Gao's perspective on Sino-American relations.  He believes that, viewed in perspective, the two countries have grown much closer since the days of the Cold War and that common cultural values, such as the drive to work hard and achieve, will lead to closer relations in the future. Podcast Link: Law-disrupted.fmHost: John B.
