The Lift with Brittany Miller podcast is truly a gift to moms like me who need a pick-me-up and support in both good and challenging times. Brittany's labor of love shines through in every episode, making it feel like a comforting "me too" for special needs parents. She is inspiring, knowledgeable, and humble, and I am in awe of all that she has accomplished. This podcast is not only for moms but also for dads, as it offers valuable insights and education for all special needs parents.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is how Brittany creates a sense of community and belonging. As a special needs parent, it can often feel lonely and isolating, but listening to The Lift helps alleviate that feeling. It's comforting to hear stories from other parents thriving in challenging situations and to know that we are not alone in our struggles. The advice shared on the podcast is practical and helpful, providing guidance on advocacy, therapy sessions, school support, and more.
Another great aspect of this podcast is Brittany's authenticity and vulnerability. She shares her own trials with her daughter's special needs journey, showing her bravery and the unwavering support of her family. This gives hope to other parents facing difficult diagnoses or treatments for their children. Knowing that they don't have to go through it alone can be incredibly reassuring.
While there aren't many negative aspects to this podcast, one potential drawback could be that it may not cover every specific situation or diagnosis related to special needs parenting. However, the overall themes of support, encouragement, and resilience are universal to all parents facing similar challenges.
In conclusion, The Lift with Brittany Miller podcast is an incredible resource for special needs parents seeking inspiration, education, and community. Brittany's genuine warmth and compassion shine through in every episode, making it easy to connect with her on a personal level. Through this podcast, she turns broken moments into something beautiful while uplifting fellow moms who have life-changing children. Whether you're struggling or have a solid support system in place, The Lift is a voice of compassion and experience that will guide and inspire you on your special needs parenting journey.

Not by choice mind you, but dealing with society even well meaning friends and family comes with dealing with the staring and the ignorant comments that inevitably come. How do we deal? So much life has happened in the decade since my daughter was born, it feels like an eternity in some ways, then a blink of an eye the next. Special Needs mamas, I am sure you can relate. However the ways we change can be a positive thing, maybe not the extra pounds and grey hair but who counts those anymore? I have learned countless lessons from my sweet daughter.
