As she passes the greenhouse, she smells the fragrance of chocolate mint. When she peers into the room, she sees her father's favourite orchid hanging over a trestle table. Thoroughly overwhelmed with memories of her Dad, she sits down on a large rock and reminisces about one of the last times she and her Father were at the office together. She doesn't understand what is happening to her and she's afraid that she is slipping into madness.

With bolstered confidence, Rebecca enjoys a drive around the countryside. She comes upon a dilapidated "For Sale" sign and decides to follow the driveway. Finding an old stone cottage at the end, she is thrown off balance by a sensation of deja vu and it feels like she has come home. Wandering the property she stumbles across a grave which evokes an intense reaction of sadness within her. Puzzled, she sits on a bench by a pond, where a vision of the long ago occupants of the house appear in front of her.
