Lindsay is joined by author Stephanie Cowell to discuss her book, “The Man in The Stone Cottage.” In 1846, Yorkshire, the Brontë sisters— Charlotte, Anne, and Emily— navigate precarious lives marked by heartbreak and struggle. Charlotte faces rejection from the man she loves, while their blind father and troubled brother add to their burdens. Despite their immense talent, no one will publish their poetry or novels. Amidst this turmoil, Emily encounters a charming shepherd during her solitary walks on the moors, yet he remains unseen by anyone else. After Emily's untimely death, Charlotte— now a successful author with Jane Eyre— stumbles upon hidden letters and a mysterious map. As she stands on the brink of her own marriage, Charlotte is determined to uncover the truth about her sister's secret relationship. The Man in the Stone Cottage is a poignant exploration of sisterly bonds and the complexities of perception, asking whether what feels real to one person can truly be real to another. STEPHANIE COWELL is the author of 7 novels, including Nicholas Cooke, The Physician of London, The Players: a novel of the young Shakespeare, Marrying Mozart, Claude & Camille: a novel of Monet, and The Boy in the Rain. Her work has been translated into several languages, optioned for film, and adapted into an opera. Cowell has been awarded an American Book Award. She has also been an opera singer, balladeer, and founder of the Strawberry Opera and an outdoor performance series in NYC. Fun facts include auditioning before Richard Rodgers, the Rodgers of Rodgers and Hammerstein fame, and performing in places like the famous Harvard Club and even mental institutions and prisons. This week on Nacho Fitness Coach, Caleigh and Sara test whether cottage cheese deserves its viral, high-protein glow-up or if the internet has officially gone too far. We taste our way through cottage cheese pizza bowls, ranch dip, chocolate pudding, and a surprisingly legit strawberry “ice cream,” all with zero practice runs and very honest reactions. We talk texture issues, protein hacks, what actually tastes good, and whether any of these swaps are worth making in real life. If you've been side-eyeing cottage cheese all over your feed and wondering if it's genius or garbage, this episode finds out so you don't have to.Connect with us on social media!Instagram | TikTok | Threads | Youtube | Facebook | X (Twitter) | WebsiteThis podcast offers health, fitness, and nutritional information and is designed for educational and entertainment purposes only. Elizabeth is joined by Piers and AF to reflect on a disappointing but also fairly predictable defeat to Crystal Palace at the Cottage on Sunday. Will we ever break the Crystal Palace at home curse? We try to highlight some positives from the match, including Harry Wilson scoring what is definitely our goal of the season so far, but we also question Marco's substitutions and the timing of them.Guests:Elizabeth Barnard Piers Cottee-JonesAdam FarquharsonProducer:Freddie Cooper Support Fulhamish's independent podcasts, videos and articles by subscribing to our Substack: http://www.fulhamish.co.ukFollow Fulhamish on socials:http://www.x.com/fulhamishpodhttp://www.instagram.com/fulhamishpodhttps://www.tiktok.com/@fulhamishhttps://www.youtube.com/@fulhamishpod See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Mo Salah dropped a bombshell on Saturday evening. After starting on the bench for the third game in a row he gave an incendiary interview after the match claiming to have been thrown under the bus, a scapegoat for recent poor form and said he had no relationship with coach Arne Slot. So, what happens next - will it be the end of Salah or Slot at Liverpool? Can any player be guaranteed a place in the team regardless of form as Salah seems to be suggesting? On the pitch Villa coach Unai Emery led his team to a win over Arsenal and third in the table - remarkable achievement after the start they had. Are there worrying signs for Arsenal, or were they just beaten by a better team on the day? After the break a valuable three points for Spurs and Thomas Frank, but an even more important performance; top quality at the Cottage and does Nuno like his players? Tom Allnutt, Gregor Robertson and Alyson Rudd join tom Clarke. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Grace Cottage Hospital in Townsend is the smallest hospital in Vermont. It's operating in the red, like many hospitals in our region. But its administrators have big plans for its future, like constructing a brand new clinic. We're joined by Grace Cottage CEO Olivia Sweetnam. The hospital she runs is unique for many reasons. Some of its doctors have worked there for decades. It's one of the smallest hospitals not just in Vermont, but in the whole country. And it's building a new family clinic by relying heavily on philanthropic support.Grace Cottage also faces challenges that any rural hospital administrator would recognize. To put Grace Cottage's situation in perspective, we talk with a medical professor at the University of Vermont, Erika Ziller. She's researching how to improve rural health care in the state.

Epi 3Welcome back to The Cutting Edge! In this episode, Mel sits down with Dr. Omar Beidas, MD FACS (Plastic Surgeon) and Ashlyn Douglass-Barnes, LCSW (Bariatric & Trauma Therapist) for a deep dive on one of the most overlooked steps in plastic-surgery readiness after weight loss: protein intake, healing nutrition, and how your body actually recovers after surgery. If you're preparing for skin removal surgery, tummy tuck, arm lift, back lift, breast lift, lipo, or ANY post-weight-loss plastics… this episode is your new bible. We cover the exact protein targets, why low protein causes wound-healing complications, how seromas form, how drains work, why compression affects blood pressure, and why your surgeon keeps yelling “Get your protein in!”Plus: weird protein sources, vegetarian struggles, bug-based protein (yes, really), GLP-1 nausea tips, food noise vs cravings, and why bariatric patients struggle with solid protein.

The text detailed a remarkable opportunity. A unique one-off property ripe for modernisation, offering adaptable accommodation in a pretty hamlet five minutes from Ashbourne town centre. The home included a sitting room, a second reception room, a kitchen, a bathroom, a half-cellar/workshop, two bedrooms, a large landing suitable for conversion to a third bedroom, a rear garden, a former stable block, a coal store and a garden shed, all for the price of £69,950. However, nowhere in the listing was there mention of the ghosts who were said to live there… *** LISTENER CAUTION IS ADVISED *** This episode was researched and written by Eileen Macfarlane and Rosanna Fitton.Edited by Joel Porter at Dot Dot Dot Productions.Script editing, illustrations and production direction by Rosanna FittonNarration, additional audio editing and mixing, and script editing by Benjamin Fitton. To get early ad-free access, including Season 1, sign up for They Walk Among PLUS, available from Patreon or Apple Podcasts.More information and episode references can be found on our website https://theywalkamonguspodcast.comMUSIC: Royal Catacombs by Cody Martin Rhosphere by Cody Martin Titan by Cody Martin Ocean Of Worlds by Stephen Keech After The Fall by Wicked Cinema Crooked Man by Wicked Cinema Dark Places by Wicked Cinema Extinction by Wicked Cinema Folkloric by Wicked Cinema Hollow by Wicked Cinema Mainframe by Wicked Cinema Rag Doll by Wicked Cinema The Lantern by Wicked Cinema The Rite by Wicked Cinema The Unexplained by Wicked Cinema Veil Of Secrets by Wicked Cinema SOCIAL MEDIA: https://linktr.ee/TheyWalkAmongUsSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/theywalkamongus.
