Director of the Office of Paranormal Investigations - and author of A PARANORMAL CASEBOOK: Ghost Hunting in the New Millennium, which hit the bookshelves October 1, 2005 His 2004 releases were GHOST HUNTING: How to Investigate the Paranormal and HAUNTINGS & POLTERGEISTS: A Ghost Hunter's Guide (Ronin Publishing). His first book, ESP, HAUNTINGS AND POLTERGEISTS (1986, Warner Books) was named the "Sacred Text"` on ghosts by NEWSWEEK (in August, 1996). PSYCHIC DREAMING (1991, Warner Books; 1999 Barnes & Noble Books), deals with the current understanding of dreams in general and psychic dreams in particular. His third book, REINCARNATION, CHANNELING AND POSSESSION, was published by Warner Books in April, 1993. MIND OVER MATTER (Kensington Books, 1996) focused on the limits human beings set for themselves and on psychokinesis. Stephen Sakellarios began studying Eastern mysticism--and with it, reincarnation--in 1973 when he was 19. He first began studying the Western research and therapies dealing with reincarnation when he started work on his independent film, "In Another Life: Reincarnation in America," in 1997. In 1998 he launched the supporting website for that project, which has evolved into one of the most extensive reincarnation sites in the world. Having studied hundreds of reincarnation cases, some of which had very strong elements of proof, Stephen decided to see whether he could prove one of his own past lives. The research took him several years, and in the process he re-established connection with his first wife from that earlier life, Abby Poyen Whittier, who was still in the astral realm. Jessica Young joins us for a #VIDtober deep cut as we discuss the espionage/thriller/romantic comedy, 1986's KEEPING TRACK.  This movie stars Margo Kidder (SUPERMAN, THE AMITYVILLE HORROR) as Claire, a lady banker thrust into a world of genetically modified computer chips and government conspiracies when all she really wants to do is sell trains.  You know, as all bankers do.  Claire is forced to partner up with Hawkins, an overworked reporter from Action News.  Hawkins, played by Michael Sarrazin (THEY SHOOT HORSES, DON'T THEY?), is the kind of reporter who finds the craziest stories.  They're so crazy that nobody believes him.  So, it should come as no surprise that Claire and Hawkins find themselves in the most unbelievable of situations.  We do our best to make sense of the plot in KEEPING TRACK.  That said, you shouldn't feel bad for not, well, keeping track.  Jessica helps us decipher the nuances of her native Canada where KEEPING track was shot.  We discuss the benefits of living above a bar/restaurant, differences between US and Canadian trains (although, we're not sure there is any difference) and the proper way disguise yourself when the CIA, FBI, RCMP, and the Canadian Government all want you dead. Philip J. Cozzolino is an Associate Professor of Research in the Division of Perceptual Studies at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
