We had a blast having a conversation with the great, Kris Johnson! Kris is an award winning trumpet player, composer, arranger, film-scorer, educator, and wearer many hats in the music world. Along with Kris' tenure in the Count Basie Orchestra, Kris continues to create dope art (as Kris likes to say) such as his audio-visual album, SAFE (we highly recommend you check this out, if you haven't already), composing for the four-time EMMY nominated webseries, King Ester, and most recently, composing/arranging for his project, the Kris Johnson Big Band. This episode is filled with stories, insights, and was genuinely entertaining.
