I don't like to use the word etiquette as that implies rules and we should be able to fish however we want as long as it's legal. But there are traditions and guidelines for conduct on trout rivers that ensures that everyone has a good day on the water without infringing on the rights of others. And they do sometimes differ depending on whether you are floating or wading, and even form one river to the next depending on how crowded they are. Todd Tanner [34:22] offers a very thoughtful and interesting approach to this subject with lots of anecdotes on what he has seen on the many trout rivers he's fished in his lifetime. Do boomboxes and dogs belong on trout rivers? Listen to what Todd has to say on those topics. In the Fly Box this week we have these questions and more: What do you think about the AI in relation to fly fishing? Does the Orvis Wading Staff really self deploy? How do I fish high, clear water? What do the trout do under this condition? How do I know when I am fishing deep enough for salmon and steelhead? My graphite ferrule does not seat all the way. Is this OK? Which sinking line is best for bass fishing? Brass is 7% heavier than stainless steel. Why don't we use more brass for our nymphs given the scarcity of tungsten? A listener makes the case for the Helios D rods for trout fishing What do you think about the Hovering Leech pattern? Will this technique work in rivers? Do trout release stress hormones when we play them? Do chubs and trout feed in different places in trout streams?

Years ago, I sat down with Jon Bernthal for a conversation about military service, Afghanistan, trauma, purpose, healing, and the journey that would eventually lead to Brass & Unity. For reasons unrelated to the conversation itself, the interview was never released.Until now.In Part 1 of this three-part series, Jon and I discuss my time in the Canadian Armed Forces, deploying to Afghanistan, the realities of military life, and the challenges many veterans face when transitioning home.We also begin a conversation about trauma, identity, and the search for healing after service — topics that would go on to shape much of the work I've dedicated myself to over the years. This is the Jon Bernthal interview we never released.Part 1 of 3.- - - - - - - - - - -Buy me a coffee! - https://buymeacoffee.com/kelsisherenLet's connect!Rumble - https://rumble.com/user/TheKelsiSherenPerspectiveInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/thekelsisherenperspective?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw%3D%3DX: https://x.com/KelsisherenSubstack: https://substack.com/@kelsisherenSUPPORT OUR PEOPLE - - - - - - - - - - - -MasterPeace - 10% off with code KELSI - https://www.MasterPeace.Health/KelsiKetone IQ- 30% off with code KELSI - https://ketone.com/KELSIGood Livin - 20% off with code KELSI - https://www.itsgoodlivin.com/?ref=KELSIBrass & Unity - 20% off with code UNITY - http://www.brassandunity.com
In this installment of our Payroll Brass Tax podcast series, Mike Mahoney (Morristown/New York) and Megan Menguc (Washington) break down the most common strategies for consolidating payroll across related entities. Megan and Mike, who is chair of the firm's Employment Tax practice group, walk through three distinct approaches, examining the practical benefits and limitations of each: (1) captive employee leasing, (2) Section 3504 agent reporting, and (3) common paymaster arrangements. The speakers also address the broader cross-disciplinary considerations that employers should keep in mind before restructuring how payroll is reported.

This week in the Louisiana Anthology. Pisatuntema. Myths of the Louisiana Choctaw. II Soon after the earth (yahne) was made, men and grasshoppers came to the surface through a long passageway that led from a large cavern, in the interior of the earth, to the summit of a high hill, Nan' chaha. There, deep down in the earth, in the great cavern, man and the grasshoppers had been created by Aba, the Great Spirit, having been formed of the yellow clay. For a time the men and the grasshoppers continued to reach the surface together, and as they emerged from the long passageway they would scatter in all directions, some going north, others south, east, or west. But at last the mother of the grasshoppers who had remained in the cavern was killed by the men and as a consequence there were no more grasshoppers to reach the surface, and ever after those that lived on the earth were known to the Choctaw as eske ilay, or 'mother dead.' However, men continued to reach the surface of the earth through the long passageway that led to the summit of Nan' chaha, and, as they moved about from place to place, they trampled upon many grasshoppers in the high grass, killing many and hurting others. The grasshoppers became alarmed as they feared that all would be killed if men became more numerous and continued to come from the cavern in the earth. They spoke to Aba, who heard them and soon after caused the passageway to be closed and no more men were allowed to reach the surface. But as there were many men remaining in the cavern he changed them to ants and ever since that time the small ants have come forth from holes in the ground. This week in Louisiana history. In the Tabernacle, the bronze laver was the daily washing place for priests and a powerful picture of ongoing cleansing through repentance and self-awareness before God. Rabbi connects the laver's mirror imagery to practical spiritual growth, learning to hear the Holy Spirit, and walk in greater freedom.
As I study the Old Testament something comes to me over and over again. When Jesus said, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me,” he was sending the people to the Old Testament to find Him. When Lehi opened the Plates of Brass for the first time and searched them from the beginning (see 1 Nephi 5:10) and then he “was filled with the Spirit, and began to prophesy concerning his seed (see 1 Nephi 5:17) he was immersed in the Old Testament. When Nephi says, “For my soul delighteth in the scriptures and my heart pondereth them…” he was talking about the Old Testament. When Ammon, Aaron, Omner and Himni converted seven cities of the Lamanites and brought untold thousands to the Savior, they were using only the Old Testament in their teaching! What a treasure we have in the Old Testament!
God's divine order of the tabernacle intentionally begins with two pieces of brass. Brass is a picture of God's judgment, and the path to God begins by addressing sin through judgment, forgiveness, and cleansing. The brazen altar is a preview of the cross where our sin is judged and atoned for, and the brazen laver is the place of cleansing that follows forgiveness. Recognition and repentance of sin are essential before we can fully receive Christ's sufficiency. Join Scott Pauley's study through Scripture this year. Jeffrey Epstein's legal team didn't just negotiate within the normal bounds of the U.S. Attorney's Office in South Florida—they deliberately went over Alex Acosta's head and straight to Department of Justice leadership in Washington. When local prosecutors appeared resistant to the sweeping immunity Epstein wanted, his lawyers escalated the matter to Main Justice, reframing the case as a broader federal concern rather than a local sex-crimes prosecution. That pressure campaign paid off. Senior DOJ officials ultimately signed off on the notorious Non-Prosecution Agreement, an extraordinary deal that shielded Epstein from federal charges and quietly immunized unnamed co-conspirators—a move that short-circuited what could have been a devastating national prosecution and locked victims out of the process. In this episode, newly surfaced correspondence pulls back the curtain on how that deal was engineered at the highest levels, including emails and letters involving Kenneth Starr, one of Epstein's most powerful defense attorneys. The exchanges show Starr communicating directly with DOJ brass, using his institutional clout and legal gravitas to press Epstein's case far beyond ordinary advocacy. Rather than a routine plea negotiation, the correspondence reveals a coordinated, top-down lobbying effort that treated Epstein as a problem to be managed, not prosecuted—raising disturbing questions about favoritism, backchannel influence, and how justice was quietly bent to accommodate one of the most well-connected defendants in modern American criminal history.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:EFTA00013989.pdfBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Does everyone have to submit the eft and photo for every NFA item that is transferred to the trust? Question from typicalpnwguy from Washington Dear fellow Chad's, I have an “in Minecraft” finders keepers question. If you find a gun on the road while out on your delivery route how long would you wait to start buying mags, a light, a red dot, or a holster for it? Obviously I wouldn't tell anyone or post pictures as I love my dogs too much. Thank you, typicalpnwguy Question from sean_spelled_right from Virginia Question from sean_spelled_right. I'm late to the Glock stuff. I'm wanting to put together a Glock 19, with pretty much no Glock parts. I was thinking about a sct frame but don't really know what to do as far as the slide or barrel. Any suggestions for reasonably priced build. Reasonably priced for me is about $500 for everything. Great show! Question from Anonymous Coward from Texas Really enjoy yalls podcast and appreciate all the great knowledge. I was wanting to pick up a blue alpha battle belt lite. Do yall have a discount code that could help the cost? Question from Shaak&Awe from FL Shaak&Awe FWB FL. Curious, has Yairemy ever been interviewed for statements said on the We Like Shooting podcast? Brought to you by Carl's Jr. Question from Duke from Texas Duke of Crude (Dallas trash that was exiled to Oklahoma): Hey fam, Are Weatherby rifles just out of style or am I just addicted to fuddlore and set on a rifle brand that hit its peak 30 yrs ago? With the announcement of their 25 rpm, I'm really beginning to have some doubts about their creativity of high performance cartridges. I have been shooting 300 wby mag for a long time and love the platform, but it seems like all of the newer better performance rounds are not coming from Weatherby. Most of the marketing I see from Weatherby is copying of homework from Hornady with like 15% more velocity. Curious if ya ll even have Weatherby on your radar or if I'm just living like it's 1994. Thanks for the laughs, Duke GUN INDUSTRY NEWS Davranov Limited Edition Python Plate Carrier Davranov has unveiled a limited edition version of its Python Plate Carrier featuring a unique patterned exterior while retaining core functionality including compatibility with standard ballistic plates, modularity for pouches and accessories, and ergonomic adjustments via shoulder straps and cummerbund. This week the UK's assisted dying bill is dead. The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill failed in the House of Lords after unelected peers filed 1,200+ amendments — including a pregnancy test requirement for men — and ran out the clock on a bill that passed the elected Commons 330 to 275.I oppose all assisted dying legislation. Not because I lack compassion. Because I live in Canada — where we started with the same 'narrow, safeguarded' bill in 2016. By 2024 we were killing 16,499 people a year. By 2027 we're expanding to the mentally ill. The line moves. It only moves one direction. This is the warning the UK needs to hear.CHAPTERS0:00 – Breaking: UK assisted dying bill is dead1:30 – What the bill actually said2:45 – The House of Lords filibuster4:00 – 462,749 words. There are big spiky moments that happen in the meta that is the board game hobby, and the Brass: Pittsburgh crowdfunding campaign feels like one of them.
