What is the role of psychological health for Asian Americans today? What is it about our culture that can cause tension or dissonance in this area? In this episode we sit back down with David Kim, Discipleship Pastor of Westgate Church and author of a great best selling book, "Change". David unpacks much of his own life experience specifically in the intersectionality of psychology and faith. When we talk about the Asian American experience, often times it seems that this "lost in translation" segment not only gets left out of much needed conversation, but are often times those who feel a most unique tension. In this conversation, we sit down with two very good friends, Paul Sohn (Best selling author, adjunct professor at Biola University) and Kevin Lee (Online discipleship pastor at Saddleback Church). In this episode we take a real deep dive into the 1.5 generation story and experience. As one of my favorite episodes to date, this podcast is a powerful demonstration of the power of conversation through relationship. In continuation with the last episode, we examine how our cultural moment is often connected to a prophetic moment in time. With the recent events surrounding Asian American hate crimes, it seems that the Asian-American community finds itself in a unique cultural moment. This is a phenomena that seems to touch the psyche of a specific people group however has implications for society at large. In this conversation we sit down again with our good friend Jon Jo, a pastor of a Korean American Church community in Fresno, CA. This episode is a dialogue between two brothers who are trying to make sense of the unique moment in time through our holistic lenses. In the recent days after the Atlanta shooting, I found myself in a whirlwind of what I can only describe as God's voice working through my pain. In a series of events, I found myself with a really unique wind of inspiration to have conversations with various friends from around the country that carried such a unique dynamic on the conversations. I believe now more than ever before the need to be three-dimensional in this binary conversation is at an all time high. God is that that third dimension. The truest definition of Love is that third dimension. These conversations are meaningful dialogues wrapped in the trust of true relationship that I believe allows for the deepest expression of oneself to come forth. God's voice is not far from us, but rather it is in our mouths and in our hearts (Deuteronomy 30:14).

Self-Awareness is truly the foundation of everything. Socrates once wrote, "Know Thyself". Shakespeare echoed that sentiment when he wrote, "above all else, to thine own self be true". This episode is really talking about what self-awareness is, the power of self-awareness, and why this is absolutely crucial for our own development journey. Check it out!

What is prophecy? In this episode we really break down that at the heart of genuine prophecy is authentic relationship. I personally loved recording this episode as we talk about the subject matter in a way that makes it really down to earth and allows people to engage with it. Lydia Yoon is a singer/songwriter but more than that she is a friend of God. Especially during a time where it seems that information has caused an analysis paralysis in society, the need to be able to hear through the noise is greater than ever. I hope this episode inspires and stirs your heart to engage with the source, God himself, and find peace, clarity, and purpose.

This episode was POWERFUL and PERTINENT. In this episode, we sit down with David & Nina Kim. David is a discipleship pastor at West Gate Church based in San Jose, CA. Nina is a full-time mom and also an Enneagram coach through her private practice, Shalom Coaching. This episode is just a raw honest examination at how "Crisis" can play this pivotal role in our lives by revealing our deepest shadow selves. As certified Enneagram coaches, both David and Nina talk about how the Enneagram was a pivotal tool to help navigate their lives through a time of unique crisis.
