This is a series of podcasts designed to accompany Introduction to Public Speaking courses taught by Lee Pierce for the University of Georgia
Lecture delivered on October 8, 2015 discussing main points, organizational patterns and a short sample outlining activity.
This podcast discusses a speech's "finishing touches" including introductions, conclusions and transitions. Inspired by Graff and Birkenstein's book "They Say I Say," the central idea of this podcast is that all speeches need to be positioned as "entering a conversation" in order to engage the audience and give the speech a sense of importance or necessity.
