Step Up - 2006 - Critics (20%) Audience (83%) Directed by choreographer to the stars, Anne Fletcher, starring Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan.  “I'm fighting for something that's real for the first time in my life!” Dance your way over to a podcatcher near you and listen to Scott and Des discuss the vast difference between fans and critics based on Rotten Tomatoes!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - 2005 Critics (83%) - Audience (51%)  Directed by Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp. Is this a necessary correction of the departure from source material, or a grotesque depiction of the late Roald Dahl's wonderland of sweets. “You really shouldn't mumble because I can't understand a word you're saying.” Who’s right? Who’s wrong? We will be the judge! 

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - 1998 - Written and Directed by Terry Gilliam, starring Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro. Is this a fun trip for the initiated fan (89%), or an impossible rearview look into the psychedelic past (50%).  “Here’s your half of the sunshine acid, EAT IT.” 

The Souvenir - 2019 - Written and Directed by Joanna Hogg. Drama at its most DRAMATIC! Starring Honor Swinton Byrne, Tom Burke, and Tilda Swinton. Critics doted on this film at a 90%, Audiences did not share in the love with a chilly 36% based on Rotten Tomatoes. Scott and Des try to find the FILM in this MOVIE, wish us luck. 

Drop Dead Fred - 1991 - Starring Phoebe Cates, The Late Great Carrie Fisher, and Rik Mayall as the titular Fred. This is the first episode Scott and Des recorded many months ago, so we were trying a few things out, a little different then what we’ve been doing but a great conversation about a film that deserves to be discussed. Critics settled on a cool 9%, while Audiences keep it at a warm, cozy 77%. That is a void only Fred could fill. Please like and subscribe and enjoy, Rotten Popcorn.
