In this episode of Scaled Nation Podcast, we’re chatting with Jason Wiess. He has an incredible weight loss story, but this isn’t the ONLY story. Wadapalooza for the very first year offered a division called “beginners” that allowed truly the beginner CrossFit athlete the opportunity to compete on a huge stage. Jason went from over 400 pounds to competing this year at Wadapalooza in this division. We talk about being inclusive in our boxes – now it’s time to start being inclusive in our competitions. Athlete was not a word that came easy, but once I accepted it and embraced it, competing became a passion of mine too. When I went out on the surgeries with the double knee replacements, I really thought the opportunity to compete went out the window. Until now – why am I so excited? Because it opened to door for ANYONE including me….. – that’s a hell of a feeling.
