Episode Summary: I recently decided to go back into a weight loss phase, and in this episode, I'm telling you exactly why. Spoiler alert: it's not because I hate my body or feel like a failure—it's because of what I learned about how excess body fat impacts your brain, your long-term health, and your everyday clarity, energy, and decision-making. We'll talk about: Why "feeling fine" can actually be a red flag if it keeps you stuck in complacency What I'm changing—even though I was already eating well and exercising How excess fat reduces brain volume, blood flow, and function (even if you feel healthy) Why your brain is absolutely capable of healing and what it needs to do that The real meaning of anti-inflammatory weight loss (and it's not just about food) I'm also answering some of the biggest questions that come up around inflammation and weight, including: Can you heal your brain if damage has already been done? What if you know you need to lose weight but you're just not ready? What if you're overwhelmed and don't know where to start? How do you even know if inflammation is a problem for you?

If you woke up extra puffy, bloated, or sluggish after Thanksgiving, you're not alone. Today I'm walking you through the exact protocol I'd use to feel normal again fast. In this episode, I break down a simple A.M., P.M. routine designed to calm inflammation, support lymphatic flow, reset your circadian rhythm, and get your digestion back on track. We start with a morning lineup that helps your body de-bloat naturally: dandelion and peppermint tea, sunrise exposure, gentle lymphatic drainage, and a cold plunge or face dunk to clear the fog. I'll share why “easy-to-digest” meals like eggs, fruit, ground turkey, and white rice speed up recovery after a heavier holiday meal. You'll also learn how hydration, electrolytes, sauna sessions, and strategic walking across the day work together to flush excess water retention. I walk you through small daytime habits that make a huge difference including stress management tools that actually matter when you're feeling self-conscious or uncomfortable in your body. Then we close with a powerful P.M. routine designed to optimize digestion, calm cortisol, improve sleep quality, and support your lymphatic system while you rest. From early dinners to legs-up-the-wall breathing, these are the tools that help you feel lighter, clearer, and more grounded within 24–48 hours. If you want a gentle, supportive, and science-backed plan to ditch bloat and puffiness quickly, without punishing yourself, this episode is your reset guide. Let's get you feeling like you again. ESPN, HBO, CNN, ABC-TV, E, FOX News, Good Morning AmericaIt takes an Intense Passion & Enthusiasm to achieve Success in your Business, Fitness & Lifestyle Goals. My guest is Entreprener, Celebrity Nutritionist & Fitness Specialist ~ Robert Ferguson, MS, CN. Healthful living and lifestyle changes work," said the author of Conquering the Munchie Monster. "What so many look for is a quick fix; but at the end of the day, they are less than successful because they don't believe they can be successful." Ferguson, who owns the company Diet Free Life, has been helping people achieve weight loss through healthful living since 1998.A former U.S. Marine, he works with both the general population and celebrities. He also is a physical conditioning and nutrition specialist for professional boxers on Showtime®, HBO®, ESPN® and "The Contender." One of Ferguson's goals is to bridge the gap within the African American community between knowing what is healthful and practicing what it knows. He conducts free live cooking demonstrations and fitness programs, and delivers motivational speeches in urban areas across the country. Ferguson teaches people how to make their favorite recipes more healthful, and he shows his clients how to incorporate good health into their existing lifestyles with diet and fitness plans customized to meet each person's needs. "There is a misconception that healthful living is boring, bland and difficult to maintain. But it really can be enjoyable, fun and easy," he said. "Many people who want to be healthy feel like they have to walk away from their cultural identities," he added. "They have an all-or-nothing mindset: either eat bland and boring -- steamed broccoli and salmon -- or go back to eating fried chicken every day." Friends and family often are the biggest stumbling blocks to living a healthful lifestyle."There's an internal battle between being healthy and being accepted," Ferguson said."People are always thinking about what they'll lose by upgrading their lifestyle with nutrition and fitness. When people start to eat healthfully, and all their friends and family continue to eat unhealthfully, they feel like they stand out." But Ferguson believes that when healthful efforts are viewed as a lifestyle change rather than as a diet, individuals will become self-reliant and empowered -- and therefore experience long-term success. They also will set positive examples for those closest to them. "I want to open eyes and minds to show that life can be lived and experienced differently without the word DIET," Ferguson said ~ dietfreelife.com© 2025 All Rights Reserved© 2025 BuildingAbundantSuccess!!Join Me on ~ iHeart Media @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASAmazon Music ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBASAudacy: https://tinyurl.com/BASAudSpot Me on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/yxuy23ba

Anita, 67 years old, has lost about 150 pounds. She was overweight as a toddler and spent the vast majority of her life being morbidly obese. Anita began her dieting 'career' at age 12 when her Mom brought her to a Weight Watcher's meeting. After that, it was decades of yo yo dieting and trying every new thing that came out. In her early 50's, weighing about 320 lbs, Anita started low carb (Atkins type diet), then found keto and then found carnivore. In this, Anita has a purpose in life and that is to make sure that both men and women who are her age and have given up on life can hear that it is never too late. She achieves this by sharing cooking recipes on youtube (KetogenicWoman), as well as info that she hopes is educational and informative on a weekly livestream. Anita is currently writing a book 'Carnivore for Ageless Living' that will be published hopefully in late 2026. Anita is on zero medications, has no health issues other than arthritis in her left knee. She even cancelled her scheduled knee surgery and has been managing her pain by following a clean diet of meat, eggs and sardines!
