Emmanuel Church Oxford is part of a network of churches called 'Catalyst' who have many international partners seeking to make Jesus known.  This episode, Tom speaks to Catalyst partners who are in Cairo. We talk about common misconceptions of the Middle East, the reality of doing mission there & some of the powerful and unique ways God is breaking through in Cairo. 

 This week we talk about race inclusion within churches. Tom speaks to Machilu Van Bever Donker, who works for race equality at the University of Oxford, and Roger Mason, who runs training for a large business (a large part of that role includes workplace equality). Some people may find this uncomfortable to listen to but it is really important we tackle this topic head on. We do not want racial equality to be a fleeting trend but rather something we are actively living out as churches.   

This episode, we speak to Millie Levermore (a Midwife working for the NHS) who shares how she's been navigating the COVID-19 pandemic at work and how she has been growing in her faith during this time. As we are met with very different and unprecedented times, stepping out in faith may seem much harder... especially when most of us aren't able to physically step out the house, but Millie highlights the breakthrough she has seen at work despite the added pressures the pandemic brings.

(Innerchange aim to build community in areas of poverty). Davina leads the team in Possil, one of the poorest areas in the UK. We chat about how Innerchange have been adapting during this crisis.
