As a people social gatherings is one of the highlights of our culture. We always come together to celebrate our loved ones, however such gatherings can often leave us wounded and broken.  The shady comments from an older relative or friend on our physical appearance often sugar coated with a laugh or smile, leaves us wondering.....SMH! It's been 2months since the UK has officially been on lockdown. Truth be told the beginning of it was a very scary experience, however several weeks in and we have been able to gather our feelings into words. Naomi and I share our fears and how we cope with our family life, even on days we just want to escape. We definitely know we are not alone!
