Today, we go over everything that happened during Trump's inauguration yesterday, from Biden's weird farewell post the day before to some of the executive orders Trump signed at the end of the day. Trump made a lot of promises in his speech yesterday, and now it's up to him to deliver on them. And it looks like class and fashion are back in the White House, as Melania Trump and Usha Vance dressed to impress, turning the inauguration into a runway fashion show. But why, oh why, did John Fetterman show up in gym shorts? And of course, Carrie Underwood knocked it out of the park with her impromptu a cappella rendition of "America the Beautiful." All in all, we're excited for the shift in energy this inauguration brought, and we can't wait to see what Trump does next. This week's episode centers around the feeling many of us experience as the worst possible fate: getting in trouble. Have you ever, as a kid or a grown-up, experienced someone being upset with you? Can you find the drop in the pit of your stomach when you believe that their anger means you've gotten ‘in trouble?' Some people's response to this thought is to yell back, some run away at the first chance, while others go numb and end up feeling like they abandoned themselves. Can you relate to these? What other reactions do you notice to the thought? And what might you notice if you didn't believe it? Pick a moment where you feel like you got in trouble and follow along in this real-world situation inquiry.
Happy Inauguration Day! Today, we sit down with Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, to discuss our feelings about Trump's new term as president of the United States. He also tells us more about Project 2025 and how the Left was able to fearmonger about it, when in reality, it's mostly just average Republican policy. We also discuss the potential dissolution of the Department of Education, and Kevin also gives us insight into how the Republican Party can best overcome its internal disagreements between factions. Kevin tells us how America-loving people can best reclaim our major institutions from the Left and how hopeful we can be for the good that the Trump-Vance administration will do for our country. In this episode, Dr. Stanton Hom welcomes transformational coach and shadow integration facilitator, Xavier Dagba. The conversation explores the significance of self-censorship and the barriers to freedom, which Xavier metaphorically describes as four dragons: the fear of humiliation, alienation, loss, and persecution. Xavier shares insights on overcoming these fears, emphasizing the need for self-obedience to one's soul rather than yielding to external pressures. The discussion also dives into the journey of spiritual transformation, the importance of addressing one's shadow self, and the forthcoming release of Xavier's book, 'Scars of Gold,' which offers a framework for healing, integration, and self-liberation through shadow work. The episode is a profound exploration of how to face internal and external challenges with an open heart and the importance of maintaining an authentic connection to one's true self. Join the Facebook Group: All Things Very CariNOW ON YOUTUBEIn this episode, Cari unpacks the miraculous story of the widow's oil from 2 Kings 4:1-7, where Elisha instructs a desperate widow to gather empty jars, and God fills them with oil beyond measure. This powerful narrative is a reminder of God's provision, faithfulness, and how He can use what we already have to create abundance. Cari dives into the spiritual lessons of trusting God in times of lack, taking bold steps of faith, and allowing Him to fill the “empty jars” of our lives. Tune in for inspiration to see how God is ready to move in your own story, no matter how little you think you have.Verses:2 Kings 4:1-7 - The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don't ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.” She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. 6 When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one." But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing. She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.”URHERE Information- www.verycaripodcast.com/urhereConnect with Cari:Instagram: instagram.com/carithompsonrnFacebook: www.facebook.com/cari.ayres.3Website: VeryCariPodcast.com

Recently, I was planning my dream retreat in Italy when something felt…off. My mind was buzzing with excitement, but my heart kept whispering: Conserve your energy. Focus on what you came here to do. It wasn't easy to let go of the planning and ideas swirling in my head. It was like a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the next. I kept second guessing my inner wisdom and answers. Those old failiar sabotaging patterns are hard to beat, aren't they?! But when I paused and connected with my higher self (for the fourth time), the answer became crystal clear: My soul's calling right now is to focus on completing my book by summer. Everything else can wait. This practice of Dharana—pulling away from distractions and focusing on what truly matters—has been a game changer for me. So, I invite you to reflect: What is your soul calling you to focus on? What distractions do you need to let go of to honor that calling? Take a moment to pause and listen to your heart. For more on this practice, tune in to this week's episode of Mindful Pause Podcast. Together, we'll explore how to align with your soul's purpose and release what's holding you back. With love, Audrey P.S. If you're craving a soulful reset, my Bali October retreat is almost full. Would love to have you there if you Soul is calling you: https://audreysuttonmills.com/bali-retreat

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, Daryl dives deep into the idea of transforming internal pain into meaningful external action. He discusses why many people internalize pain and how it manifests as self-doubt, destructive body image, and negative self-talk. Discover practical strategies to channel pain into creative pursuits, hobbies, or self-improvement. Daryl challenges the common misconceptions in the fitness and weight loss industries, highlighting the importance of therapy, self-connection, and working from a foundation of calmness rather than self-loathing. He emphasizes how building a positive relationship with yourself can shift your mindset and fuel your personal growth. You'll also learn about the importance of small, consistent actions (like the six minimum daily actions), using the gym as an outlet rather than a crutch, and why achieving peace can fuel long-term success.
