It's Wednesday at 11 so you know what that means... Tea and Talk! I'm Rose Baker, and I'll be providing some tea on me, tea on tea and tea on the world (sorry I couldn't make that rhyme) Every week I'll be drinking a new brew and discussing elements of my life, as well as my opinions on the latest news and events.
Time to rhyme it's episode 9! This week I chat to my Mum, the person who knows more about hot beverages than anyone else. We chat about what drinks she enjoys and at what time, and what creative activities she enjoys doing.
After a week's hiatus...we're back! This wee I discuss the heatwave in the UK, some of my favourite cold drinks and what habits will remain after the pandemic.
TW: Discussions of the Sarah Everand situation take place in this episode.Time for episode 4! This week I discuss how I spent mother's day with my family, what hot drink I'm consuming today and I ponder what the pandemic would have been like in an alternative universe where it happened a decade earlier!
Time for episode 6! In the 100th download special, I chat to my pals (Ryan) Grant and (Ryan) Kan about out friendships, our widely different opinions on tea and how being introverted or extraverted has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
(T/W) - discussions of the COVID-19 vaccination and mention of someone collapsing! This week I'm joined by my very own father! We discuss his name (Colin Baker), his music taste, his attrotious way of having tea, and his experience of having the COVID-19 vaccination. Stay tuned until the end for a fun surprise!
It's time for episode 4! This week I discuss the great week I've had, discuss the new teas that I've tried this week (including telling a story of an exploding tea pot) and discuss how various institutions I've been involved with have adapted to lockdown.
(T/W) This episode is an extremely personal one for me, because as well as getting through a whole pot of tea and discussing my personal television tastes, I also disclose my personal struggles throughout lockdown, particularly being diagnosed with a chronic illness. Note: Apologies for the static noises that occur during this episode! I think it might be because I was next to my phone when I recorded but wanted to give prior warning. I'll move my phone next time!
After feedback that I spoke too much about myself, I brought along a guest, my brother Simon! Today we discuss lecturing on topics we care about, debate about the taste of coffee and discuss how university students have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Welcome to episode one of Tea and Talk, a new podcast by myself, Rose Baker, to discuss hot beverages and the current state of the world. In today's episode, I introduce myself as well as spilling the tea (literally), and talking about the current state of the world with a positive(ish) discussion!Disclaimer: All views in this podcast are my own. I didn't do an extensive amount of research into this, so if I got any information wrong I apologise and will publicly address this to correct myself. Thank you all for listening and I hope you enjoy!
