There's a lot of confusion in recovery around the Fourth Step. Some people treat it like something they're supposed to redo over and over, digging endlessly into the past. But that's not what the program teaches. We take one honest Fourth Step, and then we move forward into maintenance, not constant excavation. The Fourth Step is about clearing the wreckage — not living in it. Maintenance is where growth actually happens. It's where we apply what we learned, stay spiritually fit, and clean up new issues as they arise instead of reopening old ones. In today's Daily Trudge, we talk about: What the Fourth Step is actually meant to do Why repeatedly redoing inventories can become unhealthy The difference between inventory and maintenance How Steps 10, 11, and 12 keep us spiritually fit Letting go of the need to keep reliving the past Why recovery is about progress, not self-punishment Moving forward without losing accountability We don't stay sober by constantly reopening old wounds. We stay sober by maintaining honesty, awareness, and spiritual condition today. One Fourth Step. Daily maintenance. That's how recovery stays livable.

Host: Carol MacAllister Guests: Tim Ryan & David Clingan Description: Tim Ryan (Lakes) and David Clingan (Manor) are the Managers of Maintenance on our two Willow Valley campuses. They share with host Carol MacAllister the breadth and depth of the work their departments do. Residents can SEE that they fix what is broken and replace what can't be fixed in their homes, but in fact, they do so much more. Everything that has to do with the Brick and Mortar of WV, inside and out, is their domain. For every activity, function, or special event that requires setup and teardown (e.g., Cultural Center and Chautauqua Hall), the maintenance department is present. Holidays such as Christmas double their workloads, although the staff does not increase. They put up all those Christmas Trees, live and artificial! Winter snows create round-the-clock efforts. This is a well-oiled operation, often invisible to the residents.

Trains will be offline across the Auckland rail network from December 27 to January 28. KiwiRail says the closure is needed to allow for urgent repairs and maintenance which is needed for the upcoming City Rail Link, set to open in the second half of 2026. Public Transport Users Association National Coordinator Jon Reeves told Kerre Woodham that shutting down the trains over the summer for maintenance purposes is the classic cliché that's been going on for about 25 years. He says it's become a bit of a joke, and a different way to make these upgrades needs to be found. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this special episode of Skin Anarchy, Dr. Ekta Yadav sits down with supermodel, actress, podcaster, and YSE Beauty founder Molly Sims for an intimate conversation on how beauty evolves, how confidence is built, and how skincare becomes smarter with age. Known for her iconic presence and unfiltered approach on Lipstick on the Rim, Molly opens up about the real experiences that shaped her philosophy — from hormonal acne and melasma to rediscovering balance after years of harsh actives.Molly reflects on her earliest beauty memories, watching her mother turn daily routines into rituals that embodied strength and joy. That foundation, combined with her global modeling career, became its own education: effortless French skincare, British edge, Italian sensuality, and a universal truth — consistency beats extremes. Her journey to creating YSE Beauty began after her skin hit what she calls a “benefit plateau,” when aggressive ingredients stopped delivering results. She shares how shifting toward cushion actives, barrier support, and clinical but sensorial formulations transformed her skin and inspired a brand built on wisdom, simplicity, and results that feel good. For Molly, beauty isn't about correction or perfection — it's about alignment. It's the confidence that comes from choosing what serves you, whether that's a glow-inducing exfoliating pad, a subtle procedure, or simply giving your skin room to breathe.Listen to the full episode to hear Molly Sims discuss aging with intention, building YSE Beauty from the ground up, and why true luxury isn't the price tag — it's how you feel in your own skin.SHOP YSE Beauty and learn more on their social media!CHAPTERS:(0:03) - Introduction & Guest Welcome(1:07) - Early Beauty Memories & “It Girl” Origins(2:44) - Influences From Travel, Fashion & Global Beauty Culture(4:53) - Shifting Aesthetic Trends: From Harsh Treatments to Maintenance(6:59) - Social Media, Filler Culture & Confidence(9:46) - Personal Journeys With Procedures, Aging & Empowerment(12:11) - Why Wise Beauty Was Created(17:05) - Actives, Cushioning Ingredients & the Skin Plateau(21:52) - Luxury vs. Efficacy, Accessibility & Building a Smarter Beauty BrandPlease fill out this survey to give us feedback on the show!Don't forget to subscribe to Skin Anarchy on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or your preferred platform.Reach out to us through email with any questions.Sign up for our newsletter!Shop all our episodes and products mentioned through our ShopMy Shelf! Most routes bleed time and money during filter season, not because the work is hard, but because the system behind it is fuzzy. We break down a simple framework that keeps your margins healthy, your schedule predictable, and your clients happy: when to clean, how to price, what to replace, and which tools shave minutes off every stop.We start with the big decision: include filter cleaning in your monthly price or bill it separately. For regions running full-size cartridge and DE filters, separating the charge boosts accountability and keeps your bids competitive. From there, we compare four-month and six-month schedules.Next, we go tactical. Learn how batching by filter type reduces on-truck inventory and speeds decisions, what spare parts to carry for common DE and cartridge models, and how a three-year replacement cycle for grids and quad cartridges prevents messy mid-summer failures. We talk through efficient upsells, when a full grid assembly swap pays off, and why pairing salt cell cleaning with filter service saves steps. Maintenance timing matters too: rebuild backwash valves during shoulder seasons to prevent leaks and headaches in July. Tom Oliver is delightfully talented, mischievously witty, and not only a renowned cider maker but also a top-notch perry maker. He may say, "If you're going to make perry and work with pears, you've already identified yourself as being criminally insane," but what we found was simply a bold maker willing to go the extra mile for every bottle. Enjoy this audio snap shot at Oliver's Cider and Perry Herefordshire, recorded on the 2025 Totally Cider Tour_UK Edition. Hear him share the story behind transforming his family's old hop barns into the heart of his cider and perry production, offering listeners a rare look into his traditional farmhouse methods. He discusses the challenges and joys of working with tannic cider apples and perry pears, spontaneous fermentation, barrel aging, and the evolving climate's impact on cider making.
