In this Labor Day Special, I tackle the issue of student loan forgiveness and the over-usage of adjunct faculty in higher education. This episode is specifically geared toward questions by my conservative friends who are concerned about being asked to use their hard earned tax dollars to bail out someone else's student loans. Please also support my good friend, Dr. Lucas Mather's podcast, The Republican Professor, on whose show I have appeared twice and which sparked my desire to talk on this topic today. S02, E03 Second Interview with Student Aung Khant About Myanmar's Military Coup (March 9, 2021)

In this episode of my webcast, I conduct a follow-up interview my student, Aung Khant (name altered for his safety), who is a Myanmar national, about the recent coup by the military junta in Myanmar, which placed head of state, Aung San Suu Kyi under arrest and challenged the recent democratic elections based upon false claims of election fraud. There are now massive protests in Myanmar against the military coup, all of which are peacefully executed, but the military has engaged in violent and tyrannical tactics against its own people, much like organized crime. My student, Aung, talks about how the Myanmar people have very little in the way of resources, or even weapons to defend themselves against a corrupt regime that is now killing people. The military already waged a war against one of its ethnic minorities, the Rohingya, but now it is perpetrating crimes against the majority of its citizens as a way to maintain its power. But the people of Myanmar are very passionate about restoring their democracy and are well organized even without clear cut leaders of their movement. They are asking for the world's attention and help in restoring their democracy and restoring the peace that was taken from them by a corrupt military regime that has benefited only a few individuals.
