Sarah had a run-in at Home Depot where she was offered free plants, and she said no! And now she has regrets for being so honest and having integrity. Susie gives a tribute to her beloved Brian Wilson. We find out why Amelia Earhart wasn't actually a great pilot (seems like the disappearance should've tipped us off), but instead was just ahead of her time in...influencing. Susie explains how Amelia's famous flight has disturbing similarities to the Titan submersible tragedy. We learn about a woman who donated her body to science, but ended up blown to bits by the military. We hear why a funeral home was sending people remains of the strangers instead of their loved ones. We discuss an Olympian who has been kicked off the canoeing team for having an OnlyFans account and Susie thinks she should start an account for people whose kink is being insulted. Our Favorite Picks10:37 - Susie shares her love for the amazing Brian Wilson.18:58 - New Yorker article about Amelia Earhart30:11 - Man donated his mother's body to alzheimer's research, only to find out it was later sold on, and blown up!39:13 - Sarah's airfryer analogy45:15 - Olympic canoer pays for training by showing off his skin-paddle on Only Fans50:13 - Gen-Z and their dislike for opening a tab at the bar54:24 - Susie considers starting an Only Fans accountThe End... Susie and Sarah had a little reunion and they're still riding that sweet high. We're happy Susie wasn't on the flight where a little girl was allowed to take over the intercom and sing a Moana song to a non-consensual audience. Sarah tells us about a company that raised millions of dollars from investors posing as an AI tech company when really they had hundreds of people working behind the scenes manually performing tasks instead. A fan is suing the Colorado Rockies after he got hit with a ball. He thinks the team should be held accountable for being so bad that he quit paying attention and got struck by the ball as a result. We hear a list of things that we learned as a result of the Covid pandemic, and one of them involves Susie's footwear.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Visit https://www.carawayhome.com/BRAINCANDY10 or use code BRAINCANDY10 at checkout to take an additional 10% off your next purchase.Get 40% off your first box PLUS get a free item in every box for life when you go to https://www.hungryroot.com/BRAINCANDY and use code BRAINCANDYGo to https://paireyewear.com and use code BCP for 15% off your first pair.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.' Luke 16:29 ESV I don't know if it's a “guy thing,” but I seem to never be able to find anything in the refrigerator. I'll stand there staring, looking for one thing, absolutely convinced it isn't in there, then insist that what I need was never available in the first place. It isn't until I humble myself (usually out of immature frustration) and ask my wife, “Babe, do you know where this is? I don't see it!” that things get solved. Two seconds tops:“Top shelf, behind the ketchup.” After all my insistence, what I needed was in front of me the whole time. I usually find what I need, but it takes some humbling to get there. Most of the time in life, what we need is right in front of us. As Christians, God has given us everything necessary to thrive: His Word, His Holy Spirit, and our eternal connection to Him through His Son, Jesus. Yet there are many moments when we don't see any of that, even when it's staring us in the face. Sometimes it's due to self-inflicted wounds like apathy, selfishness, or outright rebellion. But often, I'd argue, the issue is far more subtle, and far more dangerous. We fail to see what's in front of us because of comfort. Comfort comes from many sources, our time, money, heritage, zip code, and resources, and it makes us feel secure. But that very comfort can press us to forget, or even disregard, what we've been called to. When we get too comfortable, we're prone to miss everything God has graciously given us. In Luke 16, the rich man had everything, but he missed the suffering man at his gate and the truth of God's Word. His comfort blinded him to eternal realities. So we ask: • What is the Christian truly called to do in life? • In what ways are we ignoring the commission we've been given? • Who do we overlook or avoid because we assume we're already set for eternity. This week, we'll explore these questions and more.
‘To me depression feels like a choice, anxiety feels like a body's response. And for me anxiety is whenever I am not connected to my truth. It is like my own alarm bell to go, ‘Babe you've gone off course, come back to centre.' Fuck Yeah. Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started.Hello, Be It babe. Happy June 13th. Oh my God, it's Friday the 13th. That's so exciting. I just discovered that in this moment. So you guys, I am just so excited to be doing this podcast. I've been doing the FYFs more than a year now. This podcast is growing in a beautiful way, and I've just had some amazing guests. I hope you are listening to those interviews, because they're the best. And if you like the recaps before you listen to the interviews, that's fine too. I like a little sneak peek too. I guess I should also say this is a win. But like I did, watch the White Lotus Season Three without googling what happens at the end, because I was behind. So I could have and I was like, Lesley, you will just watch it, because typically, like when I watch any shows, if I get a little anxious or nervous, I will just do that. But that's not my win. I'll have another win, but first I have to celebrate things that are inspiring me. So these Friday episodes, I share things that inspired me. I share your wins. I share a win of mine. I give you a mantra. And these could also be mantras, but we're gonna do them as wins. Like this is an inspiring thing, so I have a bunch of quotes for you from different amazing women, and then I hope that you save them for yourself. So, Madeleine Albright said once, there's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women. Yeah, there is a special place. Nora Ephron said, above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim. Maya Angelou, each time a woman stands up for herself without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women. Oh, that feels good. Joan Baez, you don't get to choose how you're going to die or win. You can only decide how you're going to live now. Michelle Obama, when they go low, we go high. Malala, we realize the importance of our voices only when we are silenced. Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, well-behaved women seldom make history. That is true. There's a great book about, because she caused a riot, and I just it's all about like non-well-behaved women. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, women belong in all places where decisions are being made. Unknown, here's to strong women. May we know them? May we be them? May we raise them? Aretha Franklin, be your own artist, and always be confident what you're doing. If you're not going to be confident, you might as well not be doing it. I love this series of amazing, just inspiring quotes, and like the well-behaved women seldom make history, really, truly does inspire the heck out of me. I like see it in a neon sign, and I want it in my office. And that's just because, don't you think sometimes we need reminders? I mean, I think that's probably why I like do this podcast is like, so that you can have a reminder in your ears on your commute, something that, oh, I didn't realize that's a win. That's a win. I have wins in my life. Or oh, wow, I didn't realize that that thing that they said is a Be It Action Item is actually I do that already. I think sometimes we need that outside person to say, you are doing amazing, right? I hope that this podcast can be that for you. And so I hope that those different phrases, like save one and put it on a wall and put it somewhere, stitch it, I don't know, knit it on a pillow. Obviously on how to do things, but like, just whatever one like, really helps you show up for you. Because when you show up for you, as we know from past guests, you influence the bubble that's around you. You do. All right, let's talk about how you can influence each other. We got some wins to share with you. Okay, I got a few from Katie Donnelly, so she's gonna be our win for the day. Katie Donnelly, she's an Agency member. She's gonna be eLevate next year. She's someone I've known since her baby was born. So now I every time her baby is a different age, I'm like, oh my God, that's how long I've known you. And she put, bought my Google workspace for my new website and email address, katie@thepilatesdoula.com baby steps. I'm sharing that with you guys, because if you need a doula, here you go. Katie Donnelly. All right, also, Katie Donnelly posted about a new prenatal reformer class in a local moms group and all of these other wonderful perinatal professionals hyped me up. You guys. I don't have the image, but she did post it, and it was just like several different women talking about how amazing Katie is. And these are like, perinatal professionals. So these are other professionals who are recognizing the, this and Katie and that had to just feel like the win in its own. But also then other women were like, oh my god, I won't be pregnant by that time. Like it just was, like, just so fun. So I really, really appreciate it. And this is like a shout out to the podcast, LL's wins on the pod this week, of loving her new nighttime routine reminded me of a win I should be celebrating. This is a nighttime routine journal my friend published. I've been doing it consistently, not perfectly, for almost nine months. It's so helpful for winding down and practicing gratitude every day. Morning routines are still a challenge for me, but at least I've got one bookend in place, and she has like, a nighttime routine journal. And there's a lot of different journals that are out there, you guys, and I'll see if we can find the one that her friend does and put it in the show notes. But if you are not a morning person, don't let that stop you from starting a nighttime routine. And I love that my win of committing to a nighttime routine reminded her that she has a win she can celebrate. That's why we do this. That's why this entire episode exists every week. Is to remind you that you probably have wins happening in your day, that you're just not celebrating, and we have to celebrate them so that we have something to combat the crap that is coming at us every day, because everything happens like you have a good thing and you have a bad thing, and sometimes we only do the bad things. But just remember there are good things happening, and they might not seem huge, but having a bookend in place to have a nighttime routine meaning you have the best night's sleep, this means that your morning is gonna be better, even if there isn't a routine to your morning like it's just gonna be better because you're great night sleep. So Katie, thank you for sharing that so you can inspire the newest listener who didn't hear my win about nighttime routines being a win. So I just love that. We can just keep that going like a domino effect going. I love it. I'm obsessed. Okay, so now, you guys, a win of mine. So here's the deal, we have the world's sweetest dog. The world's sweetest dog I am obsessed with, Bayon. He is nine years old, and he we got him as a puppy, and he's just so sweet, right? But you know our dog, August, who never followed any rules, caused Bayon to stop following rules, and when you have a pocket pity, he can never be bad, because people make judgments. It's kind of like the expectation you have as a woman, you mess up, you mess up for all women, somehow, that's like, the pressure. No, just me. That's like, a pity, right? Because if you ever want to, like, watch a documentary about how amazing pities are and how they are not as bad as the media likes to proclaim, watch a documentary called Beyond the Myth. It's really, really informative. Because a lot of people think they have long jaws. They don't. I think they have the toughest jaws. They don't. So anyways, Bayon has, like, never caused an issue, never caused a problem, but he stopped listening to us on walks, and so I would have to really make him not pull on my leash. Or when a dog was barking up, he would want to bark at the back of the dog, and it's like, no, that's unbecoming. Yes, that other dog was the asshole first, but you're the one who's gonna be judged. So, you know, bring it together. So anyways, we have been really working with him on this, and found a little tool, we can click, get him treats. And you guys, it's so amazing. He's so cute. He just wants to be right by our side, because it's way more fun to be by our side than it is to pull in front. And so I just want to say you can teach an old dog new tricks, and actually, we're just reminding him tricks he knows. But because of our other dog, we weren't taking him to parties and things like that. So he used to go to public places all the time. And then in the last five years, I guess I blame COVID. We stopped taking him to places. And another win is because of all his training, he went to a birthday party, a huge birthday party who knew no one at. It was loud. There was children. There was kids coming out of there, like touching his head. And Brad had to teach them all how to like this is how you meet a dog you don't know. You got to put your hand like this, calm down, so that you can always pull your fingers back if they react differently. No, don't put your hand on top of their head. No, don't grab their head. And he was just so good. He licked every stranger. He was just so great. My win is we got our dog to be the trained dog that he was already, and we got to celebrate that with him. And it's really fun, because now we can take him everywhere. We literally take him, everywhere. He goes into Costco, where those people, he went to dispensaries the other day, like he's just having the best time. And it's kind of fun to still have a dog you can literally take everywhere. You know how people take little dogs, but like, he's not a little dog, he's a 50 pound dog. And as we come up closer to our summer tour, I'm just even more excited, because he's always been so behaved in people's studios, but I know now that he listens to his naming called again. It's just gonna be a lot more fun as we go on tour and just have a lot more ease. So that's my win. We trained our dog again. Do you see how wins can be simple? They don't have to be this, like goal they've been working on for seven years. I gotta wait seven years to have a goal. No, no, that's not true. All right, let me get your mantra and get you on your weekend. I release the fears that do not serve me, hmm? I release the fears that do not serve me. I release the fears that do not serve me. Babe, do you do that? I hope you do. I really, really hope you do. It's just going to help you out so much better. It's going to make your life so much easier. Release the fears that don't serve you. Be afraid of falling off a cliff when you're at the edge of a cliff, but don't be afraid of falling off a cliff that doesn't exist in your life right now, right? Because it's just wasting your brain space, your beautiful brain space. It could be doing another amazing things. Thank you all so much for listening. Send us a textWhat happens when scientific curiosity meets ancestral connection? Phil DeAngelis, founder of Phil's Figs and coastal geologist, takes us on a journey that weaves together seemingly unrelated passions into a life of purpose and discovery.Phil's story begins in Pennsylvania, where gardening was simply part of life in his Italian-American and German-American household. Following the expected corporate path after college, he worked in marketing for Zipcar while an undercurrent of scientific curiosity continued to pull at him. A transformative trip to Italy not only connected him with his heritage but introduced him to fresh figs for the first time—awakening memories of his great-grandfather's cherished fig tree that had been ceremoniously wrapped each winter to survive Philadelphia's cold. The podcast explores how Phil's mounting fascination with figs coincided with his decision to leave corporate life and pursue graduate studies in geoscience. With remarkable candor, he describes the humbling experience of returning to school, the challenges of scientific writing, and the painstaking research of collecting foraminifera from deep ocean sediments to study climate change events. We delve into the fascinating geology of East Coast barrier islands—remnants of ancient Appalachian Mountains—and how Phil's work with coastal plant species helps determine environmental boundaries within inches of elevation. The conversation shifts to the extraordinary world of figs, their ancient relationship with humanity dating back to Mesopotamia, and their unique reproductive cycle involving specialized wasps.Whether you're a science enthusiast, plant lover, or simply someone wondering about different career paths, Phil's story reminds us that curiosity is the greatest guide. As he says, "Play the long game and just keep going on something that truly interests you. If you don't know, go out and start trying stuff."Ready to experience the incomparable taste of a fresh fig or learn why coastal plants matter? This episode will inspire you to let your passions—however diverse—lead the way.Phil's LinksFacebookYouTubeSupport the showAs always, thanks so much for listening! Points of discussion:—Read the 2025 Beer Branding Trends Report here: https://cododesign.com/2025-beer-branding-trends-review/—Q1: How often do you think a brewery should be refreshing its packaging? You said every four or five years in the article, but what if things are going well by that time? Does it still make sense to refresh your packaging if sales are strong and you're happy with how everything looks?Q2: You wrote about flat sales as a possible reason for a brand or package refresh, but what if your sales are in a state of rapid decline, say, 10 to 12% down each year since 2022?Q3: Is there a way to win in the lager segment today? It seems like Montucky and Garage Beer are so dominant that even larger craft breweries are behind the power curve. Is it worth it for a smaller brewery to attempt to play in this space right now?Q4: Thanks for including the Babe-centric thought here. This is something our (mostly female) marketing team has discussed a lot over the last year. Similar to your take, we're not offended, but do wonder if the type of person that this resonates with is even be a craft beer drinker at all?Q5: What are your thoughts on the “bifurcation” trend. This looks great, but I see it everywhere. How do you guys handle it when a look like that makes sense for a brewery, but is super common in their market?Q6: What role do you see for Ai tools like Canva or Midjourney at smaller breweries with limited resources? Is this a great asset for them, or a major threat for in-house designers? Or, both? And maybe a related — or a bonus question? — what impact do you think this will have on the design industry?-Learn more at: www.craftbeerrebranded.com / http://www.beyondbeerbook.com-Have a topic or question you'd like us to field on the show? Send us a textTired of being the on-call cultural encyclopedia? You're not alone.Every BIPOC educator knows the feeling—you're minding your business at your child's baseball game, shopping for groceries, or enjoying dinner with your spouse when someone approaches with that look. Suddenly you're fielding questions like "Do you speak African?" or "Is that traditional outfit a costume?" or the ever-popular "Do you celebrate the 4th of July?" Questions that could have been answered with a three-second Google search now demand your emotional labor. In this raw and refreshingly honest episode, we dive into why these interactions are so exhausting. It's not about shutting down curiosity—it's about the assumption that marginalized people should drop everything to educate others, regardless of time, place, or context. These moments represent unpaid emotional labor that we didn't sign up for, especially when they come from educated professionals who should absolutely know better. But don't worry—I've got you covered with practical strategies for handling these situations while preserving your dignity and energy. Whether you choose to respond with grace by suggesting resources, establish clear boundaries about what you're willing to discuss, or deploy a bit of well-deserved sarcasm, you have options that put your wellbeing first. Send us a textEver wondered how working with plants could transform your life? Destin Noak, known online as the Texas Garden Guy, discovered gardening's therapeutic power during a period of uncertainty after leaving the Air Force in 2011. What began with his father's simple suggestion to till the backyard evolved into a passionate pursuit that would eventually open doors to a fulfilling career."It kind of gave me that relaxation, that therapy that I didn't know I needed," Destin explains, describing how working in the garden creates a meditative "white noise" that allows everything else to fade away. This accidental discovery became the foundation for a journey that would lead him from container gardening on an apartment balcony to managing a greenhouse filled with rare plants in his suburban yard.Destin's pragmatic approach to gardening challenges makes him relatable to gardeners of all experience levels. Living with poor clay soil that "cracks when it hasn't rained for about two weeks," he turned to raised beds and container gardening as solutions rather than fighting an uphill battle. His collection now includes 50 fig trees, numerous desert roses, and rare succulents – all thriving in a modest subdivision lot. For gardeners struggling with less-than-ideal conditions, Destin's success offers both inspiration and practical strategies. The conversation explores the evolution of Texas Garden Guy from pandemic hobby to multimedia platform, including his co-hosting role on The Garden Party podcast and recent position with Nelson Plant Food. Throughout the episode, Destin emphasizes starting small, growing what you genuinely enjoy, and creating garden spaces that reflect your personal preferences rather than conventional standards. "Your garden can be whatever you want it to be," he insists – advice that liberates new gardeners from unnecessary pressure.Want to meet Destin and Vikram in person? Join them at Plantapalooza 2025 at Smith's Garden Town in Wichita Falls, Texas on May 31st for a day of plant talk, community building, and garden inspiration. Ellen Adair and Eric Gilde discuss the 1992 Babe Ruth biopic, "The Babe." They introduce the film (1:36), with an overview of the script, the cast, and filmmakers, and review the 20-80 baseball scouting grades for rating the film (4:05). Amount of Baseball (10:01) is surprisingly baffling for a relatively objective tool, but our scouts try to parse the true amount given the unsatisfying, nothing-but-dingers nature of the gameplay. There is a sad player comp. Baseball Accuracy (15:00) dives in on this film's Babe Ruth pitcher erasure, including striking out Ty Cobb, and inaccuracies with Ruth's first career game and his performance in the 1916 World Series. His time with the Orioles and Jack Dunn also elided, with some unfortunate consequences including the creation of his nickname. Some examination of very young George as a rapscallion, his home life, and his time at St. Mary's Industrial School for Boys, plus Brother Matthias accuracy. Did Babe Ruth ever come late to a game drunk? There are many, many timeline problems, particularly with Claire and Helen. Ellen plays a game of What Year Is It. Discussion of Joe Dugan, Dorothy, Ruth punching an umpire, Ernie Shore's "combined" no-hitter, Eddie Bennett, Harry Frazee's sale of Ruth, the Called Shot, the Johnny Sylvester story, the feud with Lou Gehrig, and Ruth's "milk." Ruth's relationship with Miller Huggins, and his desire to become a manager himself, including anecdotes with Frank Navin and Connie Mack, are examined. WTF is up with the depiction of Ruth's athleticism, (including his purported use of a courtesy runner)? The final game has as many problems as the rest of the film. Storytelling (1:04:02) highlights this film's main problems: the classic biopic problem of trying to tell the entire life story, timeline jumbles, and the depiction of Ruth as a dumb man-child. Yankee Stadium propaganda. Ellen has a list of Unanswerable Questions. Score (1:20:10) envisions the scenario in which consummate professional Elmer Bernstein was asked to compose the music for this film. Acting (1:23:13) discusses this disappointing John Goodman performance, backed by a whole lot of It's Fine. Ellen uplifts one Trini Alvarado moment. Delightfulness of Catcher (1:29:00) had so many good catcher names and Ruth's own catcher feats as possible fodder, but nothing is made of them. Delightfulness of Announcer (1:30:31) considers the culpability of the announcers for the inaccuracies. Lack of Misogyny (1:33:40) has much to contend with given Ruth's biographical philandering, but somehow this movie makes it so, so much worse. No spoilers on the following segments: Yes or No (1:40:39), Six Degrees of Baseball (1:44:42), Favorite Moment (1:45:22) Least Favorite Moment (1:46:45), Scene We Would Have Liked to See (1:47:47), Dreamiest Player (1:49:50), Favorite Performance (1:50:28) and Next Time (1:51:36). Brad Crowell 0:01 Fuck yeah. Lesley Logan 0:05 Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. Let's get started.Lesley Logan 0:48 Hey, Be It babe, welcome to your fabulous Friday, right? Oh, fabulous. No, that's not the right FYF. So it's Fuck Yeah Friday. It's just gonna stay that way. And this is where we celebrate a lot of wins, and I love celebrating wins so make sure you're sending them in. We also talk about things that are inspiring, because there's a lot of crap out there, and then sometimes I bring up some crap, but then, like, we educate ourselves. So here's the deal. This one might not actually make you feel good, but we're gonna have, we have two things. I'm not gonna end on some bad note, but so a study found that out of 20 dummies used in a CPR certification course, only one had breast overlays, meaning participants couldn't actually practice on a dummy that accurately portrayed an average woman. So he also found that during a cardiac emergency, bystanders are less likely to provide women with CPR because they wouldn't feel comfortable performing the procedure and touching their breast. When women are blatantly overlooked in tests and trainings like these and others, crash test dummies or defibrillator pad trainings, it is, not only proves to be unjust, it can quite literally mean life or death. So ladies we've got to know this. We need to know we're less likely to receive CPR. And I don't want to say that to scare you. That's not what I'm trying to do here. What I am also trying to do is educate us, right? Because I have done CPR classes like every other year, and I can tell you right now, never in my life it has one of my dummies had breasts on it, and something that I embarrassingly, am aware of as, like, I have a very hard time with the Heimlich maneuver. I have a very hard time finding people's belly buttons. I'm like, oh my God, we were at this restaurant and someone's choking. I'm like, I noticed she's choking at the table. I was about to give I'm like, I know that she doesn't have time, like, and I know how to do it, and I also know that I have the hardest time finding the belly button. And as I got up from the chair and screamed she's choking, a doctor right next door, got up and did the whole thing, and I was thank God for medically trained people. But I just want to say, even as a woman with breast, we need to know these things, so go get trained. We should start demanding these things. You know, if we start doing that, maybe this can change how things are. Lesley Logan 2:41 Okay, so, but because I don't want us to be angry all fucking time because it's annoying. Here we go. This is gonna be so cool. So a grandma does 1575 push ups in one hour, her second world record after planking for four and a half hours. So go grandma. Yep, she racks up a second world record, 1575 push ups. That is insane. She is a grandmother of 12 people, you guys. Here's her name, DonnaJean Wilde, 59, from Alberta, Canada. I mean, this happened last September, but girl, you are impressive. I don't feel the need to have to ever do this. But I actually love that you did it. And I think the more we have records like this from women like you, the more young girls and those 12 grandkids, and the friends of those 12 grandkids can see like, wow, look at all the things that I can do. Look how unstoppable you are. So freaking cool, right? So cool. So anyways, thanks, grandma. Thanks. Thanks, DonnaJean Wilde. Lesley Logan 3:42 Okay, so now let's do your wins. All right. This one is from Jeanne Cho she is an Agency member, and I'm actually super stoked for her. She's a part of our new agency as well, and she's been using the Lesley bot, and it's really fun to see how this bot, who's been trained on 10 millions of my words, has been helping this amazing person out. So, Jeanne, we got two wins to share of yours today. So you'll be our wins today. A client who loudly complained and quit with price increase last spring just came back. I mean, yeah, that's what happens. Because they're like, I went to other places and the cheaper ones aren't as good as you. So, go Jeanne. Jeanne hired a sub to teach when I travel and for the hours I don't want to work, feels like progress. Fuck yeah. Completely booked for the next month. Way to go. Event Marketing Company reached out about a well paid opportunity to provide Pilates at a running event with huge brand sponsors. Even if I don't get it, I'm thankful for opportunities that come my way. Yes, I love that Jeanne, thanks for like sharing that we can be grateful for just having the opportunity come the way, even if it doesn't pan out, I think that's beautiful. Old clients continue to find their way back, and new clients are walking in. Two new clients this week, in fact, and those hours replace my injured two time a week, client who's out for three months, one new client has expressed uplifting appreciation that can't help but make me feel awesome. She had two diastasis repair surgeries and had been declined another studio. She felt the difference after one session and is excited to work together. That is so beautiful. I mean, I hate that she was declined for another studio, but honestly, I also don't mind if a teacher was, didn't feel comfortable that they didn't sell her on something that wasn't going to work for her. So way that I'm glad that she found you. The second new client is a referral. They are college roommates currently, and shows that even students who can't afford Pilates can afford Pilates, and the initial client even took a winter break off, but dutifully came back. Jeanne, look at all these wins. I love it. I think wins can be these little things that just keep adding up, and we have to look for these wins. It can be as simple as someone came back after complaining a month, a year ago. Look at that. It's a win. That's a testament to, like, what you did. Lesley Logan 5:44 Okay, now, one of my wins. So this is a couple months old, but I haven't been able to tell you guys yet, the Accessory Flashcard project, my final deck in the series, was on time. Everything was on time. The entire team. I mean, obviously we should be by now, but, like, we were on time for everything. And the presale went so amazing, and people were so excited. And I mean, their excitement was really what made the whole thing so fun. And the deck is really cute as well. Yes, by now, we should know what we're doing, and we should be on time with things, but the reality is is like, there's always life that lifes in there. And so what I can say is we planned ahead. We put time, block things the way we wanted to, and it actually all did work out like it was supposed to. And I'm currently filming the tutorials for it, and we're going to be done a month in advance, because my assistant and I have been really, really working on like, how do we stay two months ahead? So if I ever get sick or something ever pops up, we can always say yes to things we want to do. So I'm so proud. The win, this is not a small win, of course, the accessory flashcard deck going to presale and going to print, it will be finished when we actually get to hit ship on those things in the summer. But it's not one of those, like, small wins. It's not an esoteric win. It's obviously like a big project win. But what I'm celebrating right now is it's really easy to procrastinate, to postpone, to delay, it's really easy to start a project not finish. No one would have cared, really, if we're like, it's gonna be another six months, everyone. But we worked a year ago at planning this out, and then we made adjustments on this project based on the last rollout. And I think if you can always reflect, refine and continue, then even if we start a new project that has nothing to do with the flashcards, I know the team, and I know how long things take, and we can take that information to make sure the next thing goes off without a hitch. And that, to me, is the win. Like you learn your lessons from the experiences you have. In fact, we actually all learn more from a failure or from a mistake than we do from a success. So I'm just so proud of this team. I'm so proud of all of you. We couldn't do this whole thing without all of you. So just thank you so much. Lesley Logan 7:49 Okay, here's your mantra for your weekend, and then you can go. Rest is my medicine, peace is my birthright. Rest is my medicine, peace is my birthright. Rest is my medicine, peace is my birthright. Babe, you're amazing. Thank you so much for being a listener, and thank you for sending your wins, and until next time, Be It Till You See It.
