All the highlights and the full broadcasts from The Rod Ryan Show on 94.5 The Buzz, Houston's Rock and Alternative.
The Rod Ryan Show podcast is like sitting at a bar with friends and hanging out. I have been a loyal listener for years, and it is what kept me going through the pandemic. The hosts even went above and beyond by adding an extra hour to their show at the start of quarantine to help their fans. They are definitely Houston heroes in my eyes. This podcast is the most interactive show on the radio, and the hosts genuinely love hearing from their fans. One of my favorite segments is their Thursday game called Read My Lips.
One of the best aspects of The Rod Ryan Show podcast is the incredible chemistry between the hosts. Rod, aka RubberBoy, leads the pack with his cool and charismatic personality. He is a force to be reckoned with and gives his all every show. Alex P. Middleton, aka the Read My Lips Hulk, brings a unique blend of skater vibes, mama's boy charm, and grumpy old man wisdom to the table. His insights add depth and sophistication to the show. Tessa, aka Turtle, may be considered the newbie, but her energy and quirkiness bring a healthy dose of chaos that keeps things exciting. Finally, The Chile, aka the Guatemalan King, is a true jack-of-all-trades on the team. With limitless skills and knowledge, he commands respect from both men and women alike.
The worst aspect of this podcast is hard to find because there really isn't much to criticize. However, if I had to nitpick, it would be great if they could cut down on some of the excessive banter during certain segments. While it adds to their casual bar-like atmosphere, sometimes it can get a bit lengthy.
In conclusion, The Rod Ryan Show podcast is an absolute gem for morning radio enthusiasts like myself. The dynamic between these Houston heroes creates an engaging and entertaining experience that feels like you're amongst friends at a local watering hole. From the extra hour during quarantine to the interactive segments like Read My Lips, the show goes above and beyond for its fans. Sure, there may be some minor flaws in terms of excessive banter, but they are easily overshadowed by the overall quality of the podcast. If you're looking for a show that feels like a morning hangout session with friends, then The Rod Ryan Show podcast is definitely worth a listen.
