Need an excuse to celebrate every day of the week? Dr. Know reviews the most important holidays and celebrations happening each week. A fun Trivia Q&A will follow that has just one category; Holiday Celebrations. If these podcasts can make you smile just once, they will be successful. Please enjoy.
Welcome to twenty twenty won. We bid a sorrowful farewell to Zapper's dad and her namesake, last week. A rough start to what looks to be a promising year. Things can only get better. We have plenty of holidays ahead to help get all of us in the right frame of mind. Cheers! The list of holidays for this week can be found on my Facebook page @DrKnow.Trivia
Wishing everyone a happy, prosperous, and healthy New Year. The twelve days of Christmas run through January 6th. Might be time to add another bird day dedicated to hawks. "13 hawks a soaring?" Maybe the psychic hotline can guide me on that one.
What's more fun than a barrel of monkeys? How about some holiday trivia with Dr Know. Just keep away from the urban dictionary. (I will never get the image of long-term relationship Barbie out of my head.) If you can't be with friends and family this year, why not try celebrating all the major holidays; Hanukah, Winter Solstice, Festivus, and Christmas Eve. Maybe you create your own new holiday traditions.
Are you celebrating St. Nicholas Day this week? Some people are, and it will probably make international news. Time to step up your celebration this week with Christmas lights, cookies and gingerbread houses. Maybe a cup of hot cocoa to top it off? Happy Hanukkah!
Are you ready for the holiday season this year? If not, turn on the Yule log channel and break out the eggnog. Dr Know will try to make you feel guilty for not paying closer attention to all those Holiday TV specials and movies. 2020 seems like a good year to watch "Bad Santa" and "Scrooged." I will enjoy watching them with a glass of Gluhwein, wearing my new holiday slothwear. Happy Holidays, everyone!!
Luckily you won't need Apple+ to watch the Peanuts Thanksgiving special this year (it's on PBS too). And you won't need a special app for your Thanksgiving trivia. Just a free podcast subscription. (hint: a list of all the US Presidents will come in handy) Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Split Pea Soup Week will sooth the sting from a stressful election week. Thanks to Sesame Street and the Department of the Navy (USMC) for helping us make this week one to truly celebrate. The list of holidays for this week can be found on my Facebook page @DrKnow.Trivia
Welcome to Movember. Did you enjoy getting an extra hour of 2020? This will be good week to turn off the election coverage and download lots of podcasts. Such as Trivia by Dr. Know. Remember, there a just 56 days (and counting down) until Xmas :-)
What? Another sloth holiday? Sounds too good to be true. Celebrating Zapper's birthday this week will even be better with her new "friend."
What happened to the Santa Maria? Why is the green fairy back? Find out on this week's episode. Hopefully you can break away from searching for Amazon Prime deals.
20 questions this week. Why is Keene, NH a notorious record-holder? Since we are in a pandemic, it seems fitting to call this episode the "Outhouse of Horror" Episode I (my apologies to the Simpson's - Treehouse of Horror) . Or more appropriately, the port-a-john fire inside a dumpster fire episode (Yes, I have seen both). Happy Halloween to all!
A circus in Germany has been surviving the pandemic by selling animal droppings to local gardeners. I wonder how much pachyderm poop sells for now? Maybe you can find out on Elephant Appreciation day this week. (Better your Google search profile than mine.) How many one-hit wonders can you name? Might ask about some of them. The list of holidays for this week can be found on my Facebook page @drknow.trivia
Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we dine out again. Something to look forward to, rather than the original quotes (from Shakespeare or the Bible?). We have plenty of reasons to eat and drink this week. Merriment is hopefully the result of doing both. Zapper dabbles in mixology and Dr Know shows off his geezer trivia knowledge (Is that a good thing?). The list of holidays for this week can be found on my Facebook page @DrKnow.Trivia
Summer has come to an end. Time for the kids to go back to school and the parents to sing "It's the most wonderful time of the year..." Well, maybe not this year, with the many of the kids still at home. But, there are all kinds of other reasons to celebrate this week. Let Dr. Know and Zapper get you in the mood to sing some other celebratory songs this week. Ein Prosit! The list of holidays for this week can be found on my Facebook page @DrKnow.Trivia
The list of holidays for this week can be found on my Facebook page @DrKnow.Trivia The Dog Days of Summer are coming to an end! Time for some holidays worth celebrating, such as World Coconut Day, Cheese Pizza Day, and International Vulture Awareness Day (well, maybe not this one).
The list of holidays for this week can be found on my Facebook page @DrKnow.Trivia Lots of alcohol related holidays and trivia questions this week. Maybe I need to get out of the house more often. But, we are still in a pandemic, so maybe not.
