hey! i’m kelly. welcome to my podcast, "with brave company". this is a podcast of brave conversations. the world can feel deeply dividing and hearing real, authentic, brave conversations on topics like gender, gender identity, sexuality, race, religion, economic justice, creativity, politics, music…
LISTEN TO THE YOUTH! Kumei is a 12 year old, young entrepreneur, student, and owner of Tofu Tees. Her business speaks up against racism, speaks up for the planet, and speaks up for the change kids want to see. The young knows! Loved this interview with Kumei. She brought up a REALLY IMPORTANT conversation on how in the summer everyone was wanting to support Black owned businesses and do anti-racism work... however things have slowed down. LET'S CHANGE THAT! Kumei also organized a local Las Vegas anti racism rally for young people with HUNDREDS of families showing up. She's unable to vote (as she's 12 years old) so people who are able to vote, let's vote and take ACTION for the change Kumei and young people are calling on. They deserve to live in an anti racism world. It's as simple as that. Listen to Kumei's interview and support her brand tofutees!
Wow, this interview was honestly diving timing. Minister Stretch breaks down his work at New Era Las Vegas and how he is serving the Black community. The style of New Era Las Vegas is unique to Las Vegas and he shares the behind the scenes of how he serves. Minister Stretch also speaks on what leadership *really* means. How to move beyond voting to make systematic change. Voting is one tool in the tool box. Minister Stretch will open your mind to ALL THE WAYS you can be part of creating change! Also, I'm encouraging anyone listening to this podcast episode or reading this post to donate what you can to New Era Las Vegas. They are what Minister Stretch calls 'mud roots' and funded by the people. They are feeding hundreds of people in our local Black community, looking out for the elderly, teaching people how to better their credit, calling out businesses who are making people sick with expired foods, and so much more. As Minister Stretch says, everyone has a role to play. Listen and find your purpose! Follow Minister Stretch Follow New Era Las Vegas Support New Era Las Vegas Cash App: $ServingThePeople
