What's up, Amigos?! I'm glad you're still here. Seriously. I was worried. Because if you listened to the media, this weekend was supposed to be the one that finally got us. You know the drill. Trump did something horrible, therefore America was doomed. Trump did something good, therefore America was also doomed. Trump breathed. DOOMED. But somehow, against all odds, you people survived. You survived Trump pulling us out of the global climate-change farce. The planet was supposed to burst into flames by Tuesday. Yet here you are. Still breathing. You survived Trump's reductions in violent crime. I know. Terrifying. Fewer people getting robbed and murdered. What kind of monster would do that? Then there's the illegal immigration apocalypse. Thankfully, no NEW illegals were able to steal your money, while many are actually leaving the country. And now some of them can't bank here. They can't wire money here. They can't simply stroll across the border, establish themselves, and send your money back home. How oppressive! And somehow, despite all those terrifying Trump trade wars, you're still alive. You haven't been forced to sell your house to buy a dozen eggs. In fact, you may have noticed that the economic apocalypse keeps getting postponed. But the big one... Iran. The media assured us Trump was going to get us all killed. World War III! Nuclear war! Mushroom clouds! Your children would be vaporized! And yet... You didn't get droned by Iran. Congratulations! Apparently surviving the Trump presidency is now an extreme sport. And that brings me to all you horrible people listening right now. Yes, you. You racist... Homophobic... Xenophobic... Bible-thumping... America-loving... Trump-supporting... deplorables. You people are amazing. The Left has spent years predicting your extinction. The media has declared Trump supporters morally diseased, politically doomed, economically suicidal and apparently one tweet away from civilization collapsing. And yet you just keep showing up. Every morning. Coffee in hand. American flag somewhere nearby. Voting for Trump. Driving the people who hate you absolutely insane. You are like cockroaches to the Left. They've tried everything. Impeachment. Indictments. Investigations. Media hysteria. Russia. Ukraine. January 6. The economy. The climate. War. Recession. Eggs. And every time they scream: "THIS IS IT! TRUMP HAS FINALLY DESTROYED AMERICA!" Kevin Jackson has been called, the "white-collar" Joe Rogan. Given their similar backgrounds in TV, comedy, and martial arts, it's easy to see why people enjoy Kevin's show so much. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. I first aired this one back in July 2023 and it became one of the most downloaded episodes I have ever put out. Prodromal labor is one of those topics almost nobody talks about, until you are the one lying awake at 2am wondering if THIS is finally it. So I pulled it out of the vault and dusted it off, because if you are anywhere near the end of your pregnancy, you are going to want this one in your back pocket. ❤️Can we talk about the most emotionally confusing part of late pregnancy for a second?

On this episode of the Comic Crusaders Podcast, Al Mega steps into the nightmare economy with director, writer, and producer Ben Nabors to talk about Dream Feeds, the new creator-owned sci-fi horror comic from This Is It. The book follows Joshua Caldwell, a teenager from rural Appalachia who becomes an overnight sensation by uploading his nightmares to a platform powered by dream-recording technology. What starts as a shot at escape becomes something darker, messier, and way more dangerous once fame, corporate attention, and the public appetite for private pain get involved. Ben and Al dig into the book's central idea the monetization of dreams and why the premise feels uncomfortably close to the reality of the creator economy. They also discuss why real places matter in high-concept storytelling, how Appalachia grounds the series emotionally, and what makes Dream Feeds such a sharp example of body horror for the algorithm era. Dream Feeds is also a milestone release for the This Is It imprint, marking the label's third title after Translunar and Frontierra. The episode also shines a light on the book's stunning physical craft. Artist Dalts Dalton hand-inks pages on large-format paper, with some sequences built through collage, giving the comic a rough, visceral quality that fits the story's emotional danger. If you like your sci-fi with brains, your horror with bite, and your indie comics with something real to say, this is one episode you do not sleep on. “Yacht rock” as a term dates to the early 2000s, but the music it describes lives squarely in the late 1970s and early 80s. We're talking the smooth sounds of summer, a little bit jazz, a touch of funk, a generous dollop of soulful crooning, all undercut by rock instrumentation by some of the grooviest white guys in the biz. You don't have to be on a boat to enjoy yacht rock. It's the perfect summer soundtrack no matter where you are. In this episode, Britten shares her funky take on mysticism and the kind of mystic she is here to invite listeners into becoming. Britten expands the usual definition of a mystic, opening up mysticism to include the body, desire, voice, money, pleasure, ritual, and the deeply human practice of giving yourself permission. Topics She Covers: Britten's hermitage after divorce, when astrology, tarot, ritual, intuition, and her erotic awakening all opened at the same time. Mysticism as something embodied and earthly, rather than a high-vibe movement away from being human. The connection between her mystical life, erotic life, and entrepreneurial path. The importance of validating your own magic instead of looking to a teacher to confirm it for you. Why transformation needs a container, and why a podcast can offer information but cannot hold the same kind of magic as a committed space. Hybridity, shapeshifting, surrender, and becoming more of the strange, contradictory, multidimensional creature you already are. This episode is an exploration of what happens when we agree to our own transformation and stop waiting for outside permission to become as magical, strange, powerful, and alive as we actually are. The Emergence Astrology Pathway begins with a Hermitage, where you discover how hybrid you are. Where you invite yourself to get pregnant with an Emergent You. Where you let in the mysteries of the "That Side" of astrology. Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway DOORS CLOSE TUESDAY NIGHT, JUNE 30! THIS IS IT! THIS IS IT. After ten years, hundreds of conversations, and countless moments of laughter, tears, growth, and God's faithfulness… this is our final episode. It doesn't feel like a goodbye. It feels like a commissioning. What started as two friends sitting behind microphones became something so much bigger than we ever imagined. This podcast became a gathering place — a community of women walking arm in arm through faith, healing, leadership, friendship, heartbreak, growth, and all the in-between spaces of life. Our hearts are full of gratitude. We're grateful to every one of you who invited us into your car rides, kitchens, morning walks, and late-night moments. We're grateful for technology that somehow connected our hearts across cities, countries, and seasons of life. And most of all, we're grateful for the way God met each of us here. On the podcast today, we talk about all we've learned: how healing rarely happens in isolation, why consistency matters, and how authenticity builds trust. We talk about the power of friendship, how endings can also be beginnings, and what it looks like to honor the past while bravely stepping into the future. As we close this chapter, we want you to know this: you were never just listeners to us. You were companions on the journey. We have felt your prayers, your encouragement, your stories, and your presence every step of the way. And wherever life takes us next, we'll carry this community with us. Because at the end of the day, this has always been about more than a podcast. It's been about becoming. Healing. Belonging. And most of all, walking each other home. May you walk forward in love with great courage. Thank you for these incredible ten years!! QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU RISE What have you received from Our Time to Rise Podcast? Offer up a word of gratitude to God for that, for where He has met you in that. Where is it my time to rise? Offer you time to rise to God. Prayer and Declarations Over Our Listeners -May you walk in the knowledge of being chosen and known, believing God had and has a purpose for you in the circle. -May you treasure the unique abilities, talents, and gifts you've been gifted, knowing they are to be used for purposes beyond yourself. -When doubt or fear sneaks up on you and whispers your name, may you turn your head toward the light of Christ and embrace your true identity. -May you find peace and joy in the work in front of you, believing it has a purpose beyond what you can see. -May you find pleasure in the small tasks and gifts of ordinary life, believing God chose to enter the world through the smallest way. -when you make a mistake or experience the pain of failure. May it not convert to shame or end with giving up. -May grace pour over you and flow through you at every step and may it continually transform your life from the inside out. -When Pride offers to travel beside you, may you quickly recognize its face and refuse its company. -May you embrace the hand of humility with a firm grip and embrace the wisdom that comes from her hand. May you walk with your eyes fixed on service rather than on self. -When others try to compete or compare, may you instead link arms and be the voice of unity and encouragement. -May you offer dignity in the form of sincerity, listening, and compassion. -May you look at the doors as gifts rather than burdens, believing God has His glory in mind when He works out the details. -When leadership grows your character and pushes you to the end of yourself, may you discover more of God there. Above all, may you walk in love, believing God is love today, tomorrow, and always. LET'S CONNECT! Did you like this episode? Let us know and leave a review on itunes or share it with a friend. Jason Fraley marks the 15th anniversary of Scotty McCreery winning Season 10 of “American Idol,” sparking a career of country music hits like “Five More Minutes,” “This Is It” and “Damn Strait.” They spoke when Scotty performed at the National Memorial Day Concert in Washington D.C. in 2017, so it's only fitting to re-air it today for Memorial Day. Business analysis is having a moment—and if AI feels overwhelming, this conversation might just change how you see your role.In this episode, I'm joined by speaker, author, and LinkedIn Learning instructor, Angela Wick, to unpack what may be the most underestimated role in AI-driven transformation: business analysis. Building on her recent article about the evolving role of business analysis in agentic AI, we explore how our work is shifting—from requirements and handoffs to decision-making, orchestration, and true partnership across business and technology. We talk candidly about what's actually changing (and what isn't), why AI demands our involvement earlier than ever, and how long-standing analysis skills suddenly matter more—not less—in a probabilistic, agent-driven world. If you've ever felt boxed into “requirements gatherer” territory or unsure where you fit as AI accelerates, this conversation is meant to spark confidence, clarity, and maybe even a little excitement about what's next.
Platzverschwendung oder gute Alternative? Wir reden über KONZERTFILME. Natürlich wegen BILLIE EILISH - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT TOUR: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D), aber eben auch, weil TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS TOUR oder THIS IS IT dreistellige Millionensummen an den Kinokassen generiert haben. Adios - euer KINO+. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

pWotD Episode 3281: Michael Jackson Welcome to popular Wiki of the Day, spotlighting Wikipedia's most visited pages, giving you a peek into what the world is curious about today. With 339,354 views on Sunday, 26 April 2026 our article of the day is Michael Jackson.Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and philanthropist. Dubbed the "King of Pop", he is widely regarded as one of the most culturally significant figures of the 20th century. Over a four-decade career, his musical achievements broke American racial barriers and made him a dominant figure worldwide. Through his songs, concerts, and fashion, he proliferated visual performance for artists in popular music, popularizing street dance moves such as the moonwalk, the robot, and the anti-gravity lean. Jackson is often deemed the greatest entertainer of all time. The eighth child of the Jackson family, Jackson made his public debut at age six as the lead singer of the Jackson 5, one of Motown's most successful acts. He rose to solo stardom with the album Off the Wall (1979) and achieved unprecedented global success with Thriller (1982), the best-selling album in history. Its short film-style music videos for "Thriller", "Beat It", and "Billie Jean" redefined the medium as an art form. Jackson followed it with Bad (1987), the first album to produce five US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles: "I Just Can't Stop Loving You", "Bad", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Man in the Mirror", and "Dirty Diana". His albums Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995) spawned the respective US number-one singles "Black or White" and "You Are Not Alone"; the latter was the first song to debut atop the Hot 100. Jackson's final album, Invincible (2001), is the most expensive ever made. From the mid-1980s, Jackson came under public scrutiny due to changes in his appearance, relationships, behavior, and lifestyle. He was accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy in 1993. The case was settled out of court during 1994, and Jackson was not indicted due to lack of evidence. In 2005, Jackson was tried and acquitted of child sexual abuse and other charges. During 2009, while preparing for This Is It, a series of comeback concerts, he died from an overdose of propofol administered by his personal physician Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011. Jackson's death triggered global reactions, creating unprecedented surges of Internet traffic and a spike in his music sales. His televised memorial service, held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, is estimated to have been viewed by more than 2.5 billion people.Jackson is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 500 million records as a solo artist. He is also—along with Paul McCartney and Phil Collins—one of three recording artists to have sold over 100 million records both as solo artists and separately as principal members of a band. He holds a joint-record for a male solo artist with 13 Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles and is the only artist to have a top-ten single in six decades. One of the most-awarded music artists in history, Jackson received 13 Grammy Awards, the Grammy Legend Award, and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award; 26 American Music Awards; 12 World Music Awards; 8 MTV Video Music Awards; 6 Brit Awards; and 3 presidential honors. He was inducted into numerous halls of fame, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Dance Hall of Fame. Having donated an estimated $500 million, Jackson is credited with setting a standard for celebrity charity. In 2024, half of his music catalogue was sold to Sony for $600 million, the largest music acquisition for a single artist. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 02:36 UTC on Monday, 27 April 2026.For the full current version of the article, see Michael Jackson on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Bluesky at @wikioftheday.com.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm neural Jasmine.

Biff Henrich, original member of the Vores, Visited the Flamingo Lounge on August 13 to review the history of the band and share some original music. The Vores first stalked the stages of Buffalo rock events during the New Wave era of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their music was labeled punk at the time, but much of the tense dissonance they perpetrated was actually ahead of its time. Their style of music has since come to be categorized as “Post Punk.” Incorporating elements of punk, funk, pop, no wave, industrial, and surf, The Vores created their own sound. During their initial active period, only a handful of studio recordings were made, and even fewer were released to the public. Comprised of Biff Henrich, Gary Nickard, and others, their most notable release was the “Love Canal” 45, a powerful and direct commentary on the environmental crisis that was unfolding in their own backyard. This song, and their music in general, captured the raw, urban anxieties of the era. The band took an unplanned, unintentional hiatus. As the '80s wore on, the band quit performing in places from New York to Toronto and went on to careers in art, photography, computer software development, and teaching. In 2002, a somewhat miraculous double-disc collection of New Wave era Buffalo music was released. The “This Is It” compilation included a couple of The Vores' recordings, and when a release concert celebration was planned, they were invited to participate. This led to two new CDs of original music: “Moment of Uncertainty” in 2005 and “Common Scar” in 2012.

If you've ever turned up the radio and belted out Footloose at the top of your lungs — or strutted around the house pretending you're Maverick flying a fighter jet to Danger Zone — then you already know the magic of Kenny Loggins, the undisputed king of the ‘80s movie soundtrack and a bonafide soft rock legend. But there's way more to Kenny Loggins than just toe-tapping anthems and blockbuster film credits. His story is pure classic rock gold, filled with sun-soaked California beginnings, powerhouse collaborations, and an uncanny knack for writing hits that stand the test of time.Born Kenneth Clark Loggins in Washington, Kenny grew up in the golden haze of Southern California's music boom. While his friends were trying to score surfboards, young Kenny was writing songs in his bedroom and dreaming up hooks that would one day echo through stadiums. He cut his teeth as a songwriter for hire, landing cuts with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.Kenny's story really kicks in when he teams up with ex-Poco and Buffalo Springfield member Jim Messina. Enter Loggins & Messina, the folk-rock duo that ruled the early ‘70s with feel-good harmonies and radio-friendly hits. These guys were the ultimate laid-back rock bros — they sold millions of records, filled arenas, and gave Kenny the confidence to step out on his own when the partnership ended in '76.When he did go solo, he doubled down. He scored a huge hit with “Whenever I Call You ‘Friend',” a dreamy duet with Stevie Nicks He co-write with Michael McDonald, “What a Fool Believes” — a song that scooped up the Grammy for Song of the Year in 1980.Then came the era that made Kenny a household name: the Soundtrack King phase. First up, Caddyshack. Next, Footloose — released in 1984, it shot straight to No. 1 and never left the pop culture dance floor. But Kenny Loggins wasn't done. Not even close. Two years later, the Top Gun soundtrack landed in his lap — and he strapped in for one of the most turbo-charged hits of his career: Danger Zone. But here's the thing — the Soundtrack King crown didn't box Kenny in. He's always been more than a hit machine. Albums like High Adventure and Vox Humana show his softer, more introspective side. Songs like “Heart to Heart” and “This Is It” gave us smooth sax solos and heartfelt lyrics. Kenny could be funky, he could be breezy, he could make you want to dance — or just chill on the porch.Through it all, Kenny stayed a collaborator at heart. He's jammed with Michael McDonald, Steve Perry, Stevie Nicks. He even dipped into children's music with Return to Pooh Corner. He's done Christmas albums, live records and acoustic sets. His catalogue is a masterclass in versatility.Today, Kenny Loggins is still out there, doing what he does best — playing sold-out shows for die-hard fans who never get tired of that big, warm, unmistakable voice. His book Still Alright: A Memoir tells the stories behind Kenny's legendary five-decade career and shares behind the scenes tales. The celebrated songwriter and chart-topping collaborator shares an entertaining perspective on his life and career as one of the most noteworthy musicians of the ‘70s and '80s and addresses his personal challenges and obstacles of his life and work -- including two failed marriages, a difficult but motivating relationship with the older brother for which “Danny's Song” is named, struggles with hisaddiction to benzodiazepines, and the revelations of turning seventy and looking back at everything that has shaped his music - as well as coming to terms with his rock-star persona and his true self.I hope you enjoy Kenny Loggins' candid conversation with me during this episode. To learn more about Kenny head ot his website: https://kennyloggins.com/
