Tinkering and creating, I suspect that anyone who's been lucky enough to have grown up in an environment that encouraged exploration, risk taking and curiosity— they've got a perspective that has them asking “why not” instead of “why.”Figuring out how things work is fun. Even more so when you don't take other people's word on what is doable or not, and you go and see for yourself.Adrian Larsen has been one of those “how's this thing work” kind of people his whole life. That's what led him into all kinds of interesting projects, one of which was the creation of the acugraph. It's great when curious people push an edge and find a whole new territory to share with the rest of us.In this conversation we'll learn more about how the Acugraph came about, as well as how it can be used.
Who is Denver Snuffer? What is the Restoration Movement all about? Special guest Chris VanCampen editor of a book of essays titled "Rescuing the Restoration: The Lord Sets His Hand Again" joins Steven to discuss the project. A while back Brian Hales attempted to put together a book in which various writers would talk about Denver Snuffer and the Restoration Movement. Adrian Larsen wrote the introduction. While the book was never completed, it was thought that Adrian's work could be a foundation for another similar project. We also get to know Chris ,his background, and the role he played as the editor. #denversnuffer #mormonism #latterdaysaints #lds #ldspodcast

Evangelical Steven Pynakker interviews Adrian Larsen of the Restoration Scriptures Foundation. He was involved in a project to create a Hebriac recovery edition of the Book of Mormon called "The Stick of Joseph in the Hand of Ephraim". This version is independently published and is not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In this episode we discuss the history of the Jewishness of the BOM, the intended audience of the Book, the use of Hebrew names and concepts, the translator Yosef ben Yosef, the process of creating the text, its reception, and why the LDS Church won't publish a Hebrew language BOM. In the second half of the conversation we discuss his faith journey which led him into the Restorationist Movement affiliated with Denver Snuffer.Link to Purchase
