We believe that the balance, or as we call it the "radical middle" between Word and Spirit isn't found through treating them like opposing forces. Rather, it's found through pursuing both fully and deeply. We want the full counsel of the Word of God. We want you to be biblically literate, equipped to rightly divide the Word for yourself. We also want the Holy Spirit to move in power, unhindered and unquenched in our lives, and we want you to see His miraculous power at work. It's easy to feel theologically homeless when you have a hunger for the Word, an appreciation for church history and liturgy, yet see the lack of spiritual depth in many churches. We also know how stifling it can feel to know there is more to experience of God's power in your life, but have so few balanced voices to learn from. The Remnant Radio was born out of our own hunger for challenging conversations,  theological depth, and a desire to experience all that God has for us!

SpaceTime with Stuart Gary Gary - Series 28 Episode 147In this episode of SpaceTime, we delve into remarkable discoveries that significantly enhance our understanding of the cosmos.Longest Gamma Ray Burst Ever DetectedAstronomers have made headlines with the discovery of the longest gamma ray burst ever recorded, GRB 250702B, which lasted over seven hours. This unprecedented event is reshaping our understanding of stellar explosions and their aftermath. Initial observations indicate that this extraordinary burst may have originated from a black hole consuming a star, prompting new theories about the mechanisms behind these powerful cosmic phenomena. We explore the implications of this finding and how it challenges existing models of gamma ray bursts.Elemental Bounty in Supernova RemnantFor the first time, scientists have detected chlorine and potassium in the remnants of the supernova Cassiopeia A, utilizing the advanced capabilities of the CRISM spacecraft. This discovery sheds light on the elemental processes that occur during stellar explosions and their connection to the formation of elements crucial for life on Earth. We discuss the significance of these findings and their impact on our understanding of stellar nucleosynthesis.International Space Station Fully OccupiedIn a historic first, the International Space Station has reached full capacity, with all eight of its docking ports in use. We'll examine their delivery of prophetic revelations and hear testimonies from recipients.ABOUT THE REMNANT RADIO:

Saving Elephants | Millennials defending & expressing conservative values

Jonah Goldberg makes his triumphal return to Saving Elephants where host Josh Lewis peppers him with unyielding questions on what his fourth and forthcoming book will be about, the practicality of setting lottery winnings as a life-goal, what a post-Trump GOP might look like, whether it makes sense to even "save" the elephants, and whether we should welcome human enslavement to our future AI overlords.   Remnant fans, have your bingo cards at the ready!   About Jonah Goldberg From The Dispatch   Jonah Goldberg is editor-in-chief and co-founder of The Dispatch, based in Washington, D.C. The readings for this homily: https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/121625.cfmIn today's homily, Fr. David Gunter, MIC, draws us into the prophetic urgency of Zephaniah and the hope that follows divine correction. Speaking to a time of widespread apostasy and moral confusion, the prophet confronts a people seduced by false worship and corrupt leadership. Yet Zephaniah does not end with judgment. He announces restoration.Scripture reminds us that God never abandons His people:“But I will leave within you    the meek and humble. The remnant of Israel    will trust in the name of the Lord.” (Zeph 3:12).Throughout salvation history, the Lord preserves a faithful remnant — not the proud or powerful, but those supple to grace. Saint Paul echoes this truth when recalling Elijah's despair: “So also at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace” (Rom 11:5). Advent places this message squarely before us. The birth of Christ sets the restoration of humanity in motion — for Israel and the Gentiles alike.Father Gunter challenges us to recognize that we are living in a new season of preparation, one that calls for silence, repentance, and humility rather than distraction and noise. Those who recognized the Messiah — Anna, Simeon, Joseph, Elizabeth, and above all the Blessed Virgin Mary — were humble souls formed by prayer and trust. The same humility is required of us today. As the psalmist declares, “God alone is my rock and salvation… my refuge is in God” (Ps 62:7a & 8c). This Advent, the question is not whether God is offering grace — He is — but whether we are prepared to receive it. Through Confession, prayer, and fidelity, let us become the remnant ready for Christ to be born anew in our hearts.Advent places this message squarely before us. The birth of Christ sets the restoration of humanity in motion — for Israel and the Gentiles alike. ★ Support this podcast ★

Holy Indignation, Hanukkah, and Cleansing the Temple of Your Heart | KIB 509 Kingdom Intelligence Briefing Description In this episode of the Kingdom Intelligence Briefing, Dr. Michael and Mary Lou Lake share a timely word about holy indignation, the Feast of Dedication (Hanukkah), and the urgent need to cleanse the temple of our hearts in these perilous last days. Mary Lou begins by sharing what she continues to see in prayer—a mushroom cloud and the possibility of suitcase nuclear devices slipped into America through open borders. Rather than yielding to fear, the Lakes call the remnant to focused intercession, asking God to expose and thwart every hidden plot and scheme of the enemy. From there, Mary Lou walks through the story of the Maccabees, their guerrilla warfare tactics, and their divinely inspired strategies that turned weakness into strength. The Lakes connect this to our own call to stand against Mystery Babylon, fight spiritual battles with God-given wisdom, and cleanse the temple of compromise in our lives. Dr. Lake then unpacks the biblical and prophetic meaning of Hanukkah, the desecration and rededication of the temple, and the way this foreshadows the abomination of desolation and the rise of the Antichrist. He also addresses biblical dietary laws, the temple of the Holy Spirit, and how Mystery Babylon uses "strange fire" and unclean practices to defile believers. The heart of this episode is a powerful teaching on holy indignation—what it is, what it is not, and how it differs from carnal anger and internet "bickering." Using examples like Moses, Phineas, Nehemiah, Jesus cleansing the Temple, Paul, David and Goliath, Elijah, and Samson, Dr. Lake shows how Spirit-led indignation is rooted in God's holiness, love, and covenant faithfulness—not personal ego or offense. Mary Lou then shares from her own journey of healing as a survivor of severe trauma and programming, encouraging those who feel too broken or disqualified that Jesus can cleanse, heal, and reclaim every part of the temple. She models how to stand in your God-given authority, reject what the enemy programmed, and insist that every part of your being belongs to Jesus alone. The episode closes with a call for the remnant to walk in the fear of the LORD, as described in Malachi 3:16–18, allowing God to write our conversations and responses in His book of remembrance and to mark us as His treasured possession in the days ahead. If you've been beat down by your past, wounded by what calls itself "the church," or confused by the anger and division you see online, this message will help you discern between fleshly outrage and true holy indignation that burns away apathy, compromise, and tolerance of sin.

If you're making real money trading options, you need actual tax strategy in place now—not in March when it's too late to make adjustments.Chapters: 00:00 - Opening segment02:20 - How options are actually taxed (short-term capital gains, rolling, assignments)06:05 - Active trader vs passive trader: do you want professional trader status?08:35 - The $3,000 capital loss limit explained (and why it's basically a slap in the face)11:05 - Offsetting gains with losses: you can deduct more than $3,000 in the current year13:45 - Tax loss harvesting and why FREC's approach is interesting15:00 - How rolling options creates separate taxable events17:05 - Why the $3,000 limit was never inflation-adjusted (it should be $25-30K today)18:15 - Gambling losses and why they only offset gambling wins20:25 - What your brokerage statement will actually show vs what the tracker shows22:40 - Real estate as a "tax sponge" for offsetting capital gains24:00 - Interest tracing: deducting policy loan interest on Schedule A26:00 - Should you use one policy exclusively for investment loans?28:25 - Why you shouldn't be doing this with TurboTax29:00 - Mortgage interest deduction limits after the Big Beautiful Bill35:20 - Using an LLC for trading: real estate, consulting, or all-in-one?37:55 - Why crypto taxes are endlessly complex (smart contracts, staking, DeFi)47:15 - Wash sale rule: does getting assigned invoke it?55:30 - The Tax Sherpa process: survey, planning, executionKey Takeaways:Options are taxed as short-term capital gains (at your ordinary income rate) in 99% of cases—each contract is a separate taxable event, so rolling creates multiple transactionsThe $3,000 capital loss limit is the NET position—you can offset unlimited gains plus an additional $3,000, then carry forward the remainder into future yearsYour brokerage tracker shows return on equity; Schwab reports each individual trade—they're answering different questions, which is why people are often pleasantly surprised at tax timeIf you're using policy loans to fund trading, you can deduct the interest on Schedule A through interest tracing—but you have to actually pay it and document the allocationProfessional trader status (mark-to-market accounting) is almost never advantageous unless trading is literally your full-time business with substantial daily activity and deductible expensesCustodial accounts for kids don't provide much tax benefit due to kiddie tax rules—and they count against the student for financial aid purposes, unlike parent-held assetsDo your tax planning NOW, not in March—once the year is over, you've lost the ability to make strategic adjustments that could save you tens of thousands of dollarsGot Questions? Warning to the Remnant: Stop Kicking Against the Goads & Learn to Run with the Horses (Jeremiah 12:5) | KIB 506 Kingdom Intelligence Briefing Description In this sobering Kingdom Intelligence Briefing (Episode 506), Dr. Michael and Mary Lou Lake share a prophetic warning for the remnant—and a deep call to spiritual maturity from Jeremiah 12:5. Mary Lou shares how the Lord interrupted her plans for a "pleasant" Feast of Dedication message and instead commanded her to sound the alarm: those who refuse to leave pagan practices—especially Christmas—will see their infirmities worsen and the enemy's attacks intensify. Dr. Lake then unpacks Jeremiah 12:5, "If you have raced with men on foot, and they have wearied you, how will you compete with horses?" showing how God is using today's pressures to train the remnant to run with the horses of the Kingdom in the dangerous "thickets of the Jordan" in these last days. Along the way they discuss: The emotional "warm fuzzies" and childhood memories the enemy uses to keep believers tied to Christmas The occult, Masonic, and pagan roots of many modern Christmas traditions How commercialization, resonance, music, and nostalgia have been weaponized to keep God's people in bondage Why attacks often intensify when believers resist God's conviction and "kick against the goads" The rising beast system, AI, Nephilim technology, and Nazi/occult influence behind modern advancements How God is using small trials now to strengthen His remnant for greater pressure in the days ahead This is not a message of condemnation, but of warning, mercy, and preparation. God is calling His people to lay aside the stones of Babylon, come out of pagan mixture, and use this "footman season" to deepen prayer, holiness, and endurance—so we're ready to stand in the thickets of Jordan.

The Empire Devours Its Own — Power, Corruption, and the Faithful Remnant - Daniel 11

“Every empire eventually turns inward—what’s built on pride always devours itself.” In Daniel 11, prophecy and history collide as Nicole Unice walks listeners through one of the most complex and detailed chapters in Scripture—a 400-year panorama of rising and falling empires from Persia to Greece to the early Seleucid rulers. This chapter exposes the fragile nature of human power and contrasts it with the unshakable Kingdom of God. Through vivid examples—from Alexander the Great to the tyrant Antiochus Epiphanes—Nicole shows how earthly empires mirror the human heart’s struggle for control, pride, and self-preservation. Yet amid corruption and chaos, God’s faithful people stand firm, reminding us that love, not violence or fear, is the true form of resistance in God’s Kingdom. Main Takeaways / Learning Points: History affirms prophecy: Daniel 11 accurately foreshadows 400 years of history between Persia and Greece, confirming that God’s Word aligns with historical reality. Empires mirror the human heart: Pride, control, greed, and fear—the same forces that shape nations—also war within individuals. Power corrupts when centered on self: The rise of rulers like Antiochus Epiphanes reminds us that when people worship power, they inevitably destroy what they seek to control. God preserves a faithful remnant: Even in the darkest eras, those “who know their God will stand firm and take action” (Daniel 11:32). Resistance in God’s Kingdom looks different: True strength shows up in humility, faithfulness, and love—not domination. Bible Verse References (linked) Daniel 11:2–4 — Prophecy of Persia and Greece. Daniel 11:21–23 — A contemptible ruler seizes power. Daniel 11:32–35 — The faithful resist corruption. 1 Chronicles 16:9 — God’s eyes search the earth to strengthen His people. Matthew 5:44 — Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Calls to Action (CTAs) Subscribe to How to Study the Bible with Nicole Unice for weekly studies. The episode explored the growing pressure on Jews coming from both ends of the American political spectrum, and due to the importance of this conversation we decided to unlock a part of it for our listeners. This past Tuesday, democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani won the race for mayor of New York City, home to the largest number of Jews outside Israel. Mamdani is a 34-year old self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist and staunch anti-Zionist. His election has caused many Jewish New Yorkers to fear for the future of communal life in their city. Meanwhile, over recent months, we have witnessed a disturbing rise in unabashed antisemitism on the Right. Just last week, Tucker Carlson interviewed far-right influencer Nick Fuentes, who has been open about his support for both Hitler and Stalin. To discuss the precarious situation of diaspora Jews as they're squeezed between the far left and the far right, Dan was joined by Jonah Goldberg.
