There were plenty of memories, hugs, performances and a lot of laughter as thousands gathered in Auckland to celebrate the life of Dame Jools Topp. Reporter Jessica Hopkins was there and spoke to Lisa Owen.

Thousands of people will gather today to celebrate the life of Dame Jools Topp, who died in May after living with breast cancer. The memorial is being held at Auckland Viaduct Events Centre. Event MC Miriama Kamo spoke to John Campbell.

Patrik Fredriksson är vd för Arena Båstad och organisationen bakom Nordea Open i Båstad. "I am not a hysterical woman who can be shut up," that from Dame Lynda Topp after she let rip at the government over arts funding at last week's music awards. On stage just days after the death of her sister Jools, the surviving Topp twin spoke directly to Paul Goldsmith who was in the audience. Dame Lynda said in the budget, there didn't appear to any money for music but in big letters in the top of the news, $2.1 billion for defence. The passing of one of New Zealand's most well-loved entertainers has hit the country hard. Dame Jools Topp died the Saturday just past at age 68 as a result of breast cancer, something she was first diagnosed with in 2006 before it returned in 2021. Like many other Kiwis, Kevin Milne was devastated to hear of her passing, and he has a theory as to why so many are hit hard by the news. It's day two of auditions at the New Zealand Gold Guitar Awards in Gore. Jenny Mitchell won the senior competition in 2017. She's back this year as both a showcase performer and volunteer helping out on stage - because that's just what you do! A highlight of the Tussock Country festival, Gold Guitars launched her country music career - one that has taken her to Tamworth and Nashville. Now based in Melbourne, Jenny was mentored by Dame Jools Topp who sadly passed away earlier this week. Jenny talks to Susie about her audition picks so far and how Jools shaped her as both a musician and a person.

Linn Söderholm har en lång och framgångsrik karriär som en av de absolut bästa någonsin på medeldistans och 3000 meter hinder. Under sin långa karriär har det blivit inte mindre än 21 individuella SM-medaljer varav nio guld. Linn avrundar nu karriären på sina egna villkor, hon är inte skadad, inte "för gammal"  och hade en väldigt fin säsong 2025 med personbästa på både 1500 och 3000 meter. Linn berättar om hur beslutet växte fram och hur man som elitlöpare reflekterar över för och nackdelar med att fortsätta satsa kontra att lägga av.
