0:00 Followup8:50 Topics How's everyone feeling about monthly Campfire Chronicles? How are your new year's resolutions going? Thoughts on the Switch 2 My questions as a new viewer would be, what is the history of your channel? What prompted you to get started? How are you related to each other? Having watched one of your earliest episodes, what's the story behind Thomas joining the crew? Have you consider having everyone weigh their pack before the trip? How do you guys archive your project files, do you have a closet full of hard drives? Is there any chance Nicole (or others) will join the adventures again in the future? Are there any plans for more road trip episodes? But my question is, as someone who is new to backpacking figuring out the planning aspect can be overwhelming. I was wondering in Olympic National Park did you have to reserve camp sites there, and was there any additional permitting? My question is what your hike planning procedure looks like? Do you have a list of locations you want to hike in and how do you find them, how much do you research the route before you start, and do you plan everything together or assign roles? How do you think your younger selves would feel if they knew you would have this long running show that has gotten millions of views? If you guys could have one thing that would make making Adventure Archives easier, what would it be?
Robby, Bryan, and Andrew go through a small list of what we think are the best episodes of Adventure Archives and order them 1 to 10. This was originally recorded for our patrons live at Patreon.com/adventure. We occasionally record these live, so if you ever want to join in, that's where they're at. Enjoy the episode!
We talk a bit about the current situation and just generally go from topic to topic.

Andrew Lin is a filmmaker, wilderness explorer, fungi expert and host of his online show, Adventure Archives. Andrew and his team make full-length, feature films showcasing their hiking expeditions in various National Forests and National Parks to inspire us to engage in nature. They go far into the backcountry, teach you how to make fires in the wild, forage wild edibles and separate yourself from the stressors of the modern world. You have to check out their videos. My favorite is their Yosemite National Park video.

We talk about the filming process for Adventure Archives, and Bryan also shares his origin story.
In this episode, we talk a bit about what goes into making an Adventure Archives episode and our failed attempts at starting Adventure Archives, Andrew tells a story about a seemingly disappointing backpacking trip, we discuss our dream travel destinations, and wrap up with a bit of philosophy about human nature.
In the premiere episode of the Adventure Archives companion podcast, Campfire Chronicles, we talk about our plans for the upcoming Yosemite trip, and the mishap that happened during Thomas's first true camping trip.
