“Your plan doesn’t have to be perfect - just start, and keep learning!” ~ SassyWelcome to today’s inspirational talk with the vivacious, lovely and fearless Sassy. Sassy is a ballerina, cookery writer, author and the creator of Ballet Blast - an online studio that fuses strength, conditioning and interval training using classical dance principles. Her life has taken her from the tough, disciplined and competitive world of ballet dancing, to where she is now - educating, inspiring and transforming women’s views of their diet, health and body image.During this delightful talk, Sassy shares with us her roller-coaster life path that takes us from peer pressure; a strict Russian ballet coach and an unhealthy food obsession; to manifesting her dreams and life goals with zero doubt of success, regardless of her age and experience.Listen in and hear the wonderful advice and guidance she shares, so that you too can achieve your dreams. Some highlights:What it was she learned as a dancer that drove her to know her limitationsThe intense training, the body image issues and food obsession that lead to a turning point...What she deemed to be “the worst thing”, that with hindsight, turned out be “the best thing!”Even without direct pressure, learn how guilt can present itself when you don’t want to let people down. How to connect with yourself, your femininity and feel your beauty.Learn how to “speak into existence” what you want. That regardless of the advice of others’, Sassy stubbornly follows her own path and listens to her inner voice.About the relationship desire she mapped out, which manifested itself down to every detail! There’s so much more to learn! For instance, hear how Sassy naturally and effortlessly embodies the, ‘act as if’ principle, and that she was using the philosophy of The Secret before she knew the book existed! You’ll not only want to take advantage of all the wonderful advice shared during this talk, but also you’ll hear evidence of how manifestation works! Naturally Sassy is an online platform and now an app, with a range of options including ballet-based workouts and cookery guides. Do you like how we said "cookery" there? Does it make us sound fancy? Sassy is British and we'll just say it -- #accentgoals An ex-ballerina who always had an interest in food as fuel, she learned how to listen to her inner voice when it was time to transition from Career Plan A to Plan B. B does not stand for Ballet. She is the youngest entrepreneur we've had the pleasure of connecting with, and by applying the discipline she learned as a dancer to her business endeavors, has quickly become an inspiration to her vast community. We did vocal/verbal warmups by attempting to sing “Guns and Ships” from Hamilton. It did not go well. We hoped to learn some Ballet Blast moves from Sassy but sadly, she had to leave right after the interview, so we did our own interpretive dance, also to Hamilton All this to say, Sassy has accomplished a tremendous amount at the ripe age of 20, yet she remains totally grounded. Must be all those pliés. http://naturallysassy.co.uk/ @naturally.sassy
Thank you for downloading this episode of Talking Tastebuds, please make sure you’re ’subscribed’ so you never miss a show. This week, I am joined by a professional ballerina, cookery author, creator of Ballet Blast and all round over-achiever, Sassy Gregson-Williams, AKA Naturally Sassy. This pint-sized wonder has trained at some of the best and most competitive ballet schools in world, so I wanted to find out whether the stereotypical restrictive ballerina diet is fact or fiction. Sassy also explains how she got into food blogging before it was basic and how she developed a line of healthy snacks, which she managed to get into Whole Foods, Planet Organic and Ocado - aged just 16. Oh, and she’s also found the time to write a cook book and launch her new dance inspired class concept: Ballet Blast. It's no surprise that this beauty is in hot demand! If you’ve been affected by anything in this podcast: please head to beateatingdisorders.org.ukKeep up with Sassy on Instagram @naturally.sassy and with me @venetiafalconer See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
