Forget the news, forget #SnyderWatch, it's time to talk slashers! Loveable, bloodthirsty, teen stalking, serial killers are this episode's Monster of the Week. It's not all horror films, though, because we're also joined by comic book writer/artist Robert Geronimo.Robert discusses his ongoing comic series Blood Realm (hear our original review of Blood Realm Vol. 1 back on Grawlix Podcast #88). Robert also talks about his new graphic novel, WIREHEAD, which features a cybernetic slasher stalking teens in the Pocono Mountains. This week I spoke to Robert Geronimo, creator of the dark fantasy graphic novel, Kingdom of Blood, currently on Kickstarter. I selfishly used this conversation to learn a bit more about this genre as it's one I'm not that familiar with. I just don't get it. After speaking with Robert, I have a newfound appreciation for it and I'm amped to read more from his book. Be sure to check out his book on Kickstarter. Robert can be found online at his official website and on Instagram. He also wrote a guest feature for HorrorTalk called Sequential Fear: Horror Graphic Novels You Must Read. Funny Book Splatter is brought to you by HorrorTalk, covering horror comics, movies, books, TV shows, and video games, including news, reviews, interviews, unboxing videos and more! Also! If you want to hear my soothing voice more than just once a week, check out Raging Nerdon, my podcast with co-host BJ Boothe. The latest episode is called Make America Tubular Again where we theorize which Ninja Turtle would be a Trump supporter. Check it out!
